The standard of the hotel and the room was good. An easy way of improving my impression of the hotel would be to serve the breakfast a little more delicate. I had to touch to many things to get to the food and it's not hygenic. They should also close the door to the ugly office behind the reception.

If you want to stay near the beach in the summer the location is great. If you are traveling and spending a night off the main freeway it is not a good location.

unless you are related in any way to the Naval Base there. Pls do not stay in this hotel!!! over price for a place that is dated and not clean. Employees are very nice BUT unless you need to be close to the Naval Base. Go to another hotel that is clean and worth your money !!!

Nice beach but not a city I'd visit again.

Front desk man was awesome, I called him a 100 times after getting lost with mapquest directions, very sweet. Manager's reception was a nice bonus and breakfast included eggs, sausage, and potatoes. The room could have been a little cleaner. There were a few hairs in the bed (hoped they were mine) a stain on the towel, and a burn mark on the bed spread. […] Very close to the beach 5 minute walk. One restaurant on the beach was a little pricey but had excellent service and plenty of delicious food. The room was clean beds comfortable and very convenient location. Definitely recommended staying here!

We were in town with severa families. We chose this hotel because of the pool and breakfast was included in the price. The pool was closed because there were not any lights. We did not see anyone working on the lights during our stay. The hotel was full and yet they did not have the staff to keep the breakfast area stocked with enough food or supplies. […] A rather frustrating experience overall. Well website said Manager's reception which was a plus. However once checked in was informed it was only monday thru thursday. Funny add on the TV said nightly too. Guess they had too many people this weekend. Others were also mad. Hotels.com took care of me for the dishonesty. Old place. No somking rooms next to smoking rooms. Hallways really smelled. […] A/C did not work at all. Nice big window to open but. NO SCREEN!!!! Stay away Lisez la suite

Very good location. The only bad part that it was so packed that weekend that they ran out breakfast and then the next day it was a 30 minute wait just to eat. But the place is in a good location right by the beach and it was for a great price.

Wonderful staff, very nice room, more than satisfying breakfast and bonus manager's reception both evenings we were there. This lodging is 2 level blocks to a very nice beach. The only thing we could complain about is the slow internet in our room.

This hotel seemed fine when we arrived, but we got to our room that looked like something out of a bad dream. The decor was drab and the bed was uncomfortable and everything was outdated. The bathroom was less than desirable and I SWEAR there was blood on the bathroom door. I also found the last guest's half drank bottled water on the counter waiting […] for us in the room. one of guests stayed in Room #317 left behind Jacket, trouser, golf shirt, T shirt in the wardrobe on cloth hangers and departed to Santa Barbara Golf course around 9:30 in the morning. Called the hotel less than one hour and reported the matter. Called the hotel again and again many times and merely was given the person name who is in charge of housekeeping […] department. Never be able to contact the person when called and left message with counter person. Finally hotel called me saying they have no report for the items left behind in the room. still waiting................ Lisez la suite

Very satisfied

Nice location - 5 minute walk to beach. Clean and spacious room. Comfy beds. Yummy breakfast with a nice selection. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Very nice hotel for the price...Would definately stay there again when in the area. Everything was clean and easily accessible to surrounding areas. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

It's not the first time we have stayed here and it certainly won't be the last. The very best place in that area for a medium price. Nice, spacious rooms. Quiet area and good breakfast. Within blocks to a nice beach area. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I'm in that area, which is about 4 times a year.

The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. If it weren't for the gloomy wet weather that particular weekend, the proximity to the beach is fantastic. Instead, the outlet shopping less than 10 miles away made up for the weather. The room was clean and comfortable. The fitness "center" has lots of room for improvement--figuratively. The actual room is […] half the size of Housekeeping's office and only offers 3 treadmills, 3 elliptical machines, fresh towels, and a water cooler. Horrible stay. Location is so far out of the way there is absolutely nothing nearby. A/C was so loud it could not be used, and heater did not work. Gas fireplace did not work. This place is for sale, according to a sign in the entrance door, and obviously it has not had a renovation since I stayed there last in 1996! Overpriced, ridiculously horrible […] rooms. Nicely maintained hotel in good repair. Very clean. Good full breakfast. Professional and friendly staff. Hotel is in a nice area by the Naval base, but getting to the hotel you had to drive through some very run down areas.

-I'd have rather paid $10 less with no breakfast -nothing (bars, restaurants, supermarkets) in the area -room clean but not my style

Staff was awesome, very nice breakfast and also the make your own waffle machine is awesome. Drink & snacks from 5-7pm was nice, but unfortunately we were gone at that time. Good location. Hot Tub was nice, but we did notice it wasn't warm in the early morning, so not sure is heater wasn't working or if it was turned down at night-time. Evening hours […] it was nice and warm. Pool beautiful, but weather was to cool to use at this time. Rooms were great, TV messed up a few times, but not bad. Great to have mini ref & microwave in room. Staff changed our room from 3rd floor when we checked in, to 1st floor per our request. We appreciated that alot. Very short distance to Port Hueneme Navy - Air Force Base, which is why we made the trip there to see our son. Many close towns, like Ventura, Oxnard, Malibu and also 30 minutes to Huge Outlet Mall with many great shops. Thx. much Lisez la suite

It was very good for the price we paid. The breakfasts and afternoon cocktails very superb. Nice location. Very pleasant service.

The room air conditioner is very loud and hard to sleep with. The TV reception is poor and limited number of English speaking channels!

It was a long walk to the beach. The TV sytem has no child friendly channels. A/C unit too small to cool the large room.

The beach is just a short walk away. The local merchants were friendly. The hotel staff were great, especially the lady at the front desk. The only problem was a noisey air conditioner which we didn't need at night. If we return to Port Hueneme we plan on staying at Country Inn.

The size of the room and the location of the hotel were both great, as was the hot breakfast. Some parts of the room had been updated (beds, linens, carpet) but others were a bit dated (wallpaper, curtains). I would definitely stay here again.

we enjoyed our stay here, we love the location very close to the beach which the kids loved and the breakfast was really nice, and the staff where very nice.

The hotel was very comfortable, the breakfast and happy hour were the best of any hotel I have used. Less than 2 blocks to the beach.

The breakfast was very nice with a real cook making hot meals. The pool and spa was not properly design for many guests so they were closed for cleaning every morning. Close to the beach and some restaurant across the street.

Die Umgebung des Hotels ist definitiv nicht die Beste. Hab mich sehr unwohl gefühlt und würde abends dort nicht spazieren gehen. Das Hotelzimmer war zwar sehr geräumig, aber es roch definitiv nicht gut im Zimmer. Die Fernbedienung des Fernsehers funktionierte nicht. Das Problem konnte auch nicht durch Austausch behoben werden. Der Pool war wg. Bauarbeiten […] geschlossen. Sehr positiv war das Frühstück. Der Frühstücksraum ist sehr schön gelegen und auch das Angebot war im Vergleich zu anderen Frühstücksbuffets reichhaltig. Ein nettes, angeblich vor kurzem renoviertes Hotel. Saubere, geraeumige Zimmer mit Grundausstattung (Klimaanlage und Kuehlschrank im Raum leider sehr laut). Preislich angemessenes Fruehstueck. Kleiner all-abendlicher Empfang mit maximal 2 Getraenken pro Person und Abend (2h, Snaks, keine Bezahlung, Trinkgeld fuer Personal wird erwartet). Insgesamt bemuehtes […] Personal. Kleiner Pool-Bereich. 2 Fussminuten zum Strand. Zum Essen gehen sind einige Laeden in Gehentfernung. Lisez la suite
