The Park Vista - a DoubleTree by Hilton Gatlinburg - Gatlinburg

The view was AWESOME!! We was on the 14th floor with a private balcony over the mountains. We had a awesome time. Beds and service was great!! Would love to stay there again.

My wife and I just need to get away for a few days and I wanted to do some hiking in the Smokies. I got to hike three days and enjoy the evening with my wife. My wife just enjoyed hanging out in the room and hotel. It was much more than we thought it would be. When we visit Gatlinburg in the future we will be staying at Park Vista.

Beautiful view of the mountains outside our window. The desk staff seemed preocupied with other tasks, not as friendly as I would expect them to be.

This hotel is now my new favorite place to stay in Gatlinburg. My family loved everything about it. The Park Vista is very nice yet still very cozy and relaxing. We cant wait to go back!

THis hotel is one the best in downtown Gatlinburg. I have been going to Gatlinburg seversal times a year for about 25 years. I have never stayed at the Park Vista but I have always wanted to stay there. We stayed in the middle of April 2012 and the veiw from our room was wonderful! At night you could see all the lights and it was one of the best views […] I have ever seen in all the years I have been going to Gatlinburg. The hotel had a wonderful indoor pool with a slide. We will never stay at another hotel in Gatlinburg again. We loved everything about this hotel. It's located in town and close to everything. The entire hotel was beautiful and the kids loved the pool and the water slide. Absolutely perfect from start to finish!

I like all of the remodelling they did. However, I was a little disappointed in our shower. The showerhead was coming out of the wall and was, therefore, difficult to adjust.

This was one of the most beautiful hotels I've stayed in and the customer service was excellent. Robbie, the Concierge, Lee in the restaurant and all the front desk staff were exceptional in taking care of our needs. I took this trip with my 3 children who had so much fun they didn't want to leave the hotel to see Gatlinburg! The pool and lobby area […] and park were very comfortable and family friendly. We even got a room on the top floor which gave us an amazing view of the Smokey Mountains. There was also a trolley service that took us to the Strip which was very convenient since parking can get pricey down there. I highly recommend the Park Vista. Lisez la suite

Me, Hubby and another couple stayed there Feb 10-12th. The staff is super friendly, the hotel is clean, the rooms are very nice and the beds are very comfortable. The view is a must see I can't describe it.

If you want to walk to Gatlinburg then this is not the hotel for you!...But!. If you want the best of everything else this is the place. I have stayed in nearly every hotel in Gatlinburg and some are good and alot are terrible..but this place is great. Its got view, nice modern rooms with huge flatscreen tv's, indoor pool with water slides, hot tub […] comfortable beds, and a very clean and nice atmosphere. Good all the way around. Just under 2 min drive to down town as well. Lunch and dinner in restaurant is reasonable ..breakfast not as much...but there are a million pancake houses nearby. I loved the hotel sooo much.When we checked in they gave us a cookie. It may seem "small" but that cookie was so good. I think we got one every day we were there. I loved the cleanliness of the hotel it was awesome.They had a restaurant there that was o.k. Hotel is great and worth what you will pay, Internet should be free of charge and breakfast should be with less charge. Hotel is highly recommended

We had a great stay last weekend. Our room was clean and spacious, and had a nice view of the city. The pool is even better than pictured. The upper and lower tiers with connecting slide gave our kids hours of fun while we relaxed in the hot tub and under the infra-red lamps in the seating area. The restaurant was key. Great food and friendly service […] with no wait or hassle. Good option if you don't want to wait elbow-to-elbow in line for Bubba Gump's and the like downtown. Also, two of the trolley lines service the hotel several times per hour for 50 cents per ride or 2 dollars for a day pass (available at the front desk). I absolutely would recommend this hotel to everyone. Wonderful hospitality, amenities were superb, & extremely clean & comfortable room. I would advise anyone to pay a little more for a mountain view. It's definately worth it. Hoping to stay there again soon.

This is the most I ever spent to stay in a hotel so bad. The problems began at check-in. Although I had specifically reserved a room with two queen beds, the desk clerk informed me that the hotel had upgraded me to a room with a single king sized bed. The problem was that I needed a room with two beds. When I told the clerk this, he scurried into the […] back and stayed gone for around 30 minutes. He finally came back and told me that it had been fixed and gave me my room key. I then took all of our stuff up to our room and opened the door to find that it was filthy. The bed was unmade, there was a tray of half eaten food on the dresser, and there were dirty towels in the bathroom floor. I went back to the desk and they found that the room actually had not been cleaned. They then sent people to clean it. We had to sit in the lobby for around 40 more minutes waiting for the room to be cleaned. The hotel did give us a coupon for complimentary breakfast at their restaurant to compensate for this (more on that later). When we finally got to the room, I was wore out and just hoping to get some sleep. However, there was a mechanical whining sound that lasted all night long making sleeping difficult. I actually was wondering if it was just in our room and if that was why the hotel hadn't bothered to clean the room. However, two couples riding the elevator with me the following morning asked if I had heard the sound all night. They also indicated that they planned to complain about it. The hotel has three elevators. However, they are extremely slow. There were large groups on each floor waiting for a ride. It took over 20 minutes several times when we needed to ride up or down. Although there was a church conference in town with a large number of people staying at the hotel, this is a large facility that should be able to handle it. I have stayed at much larger hotels wihout this kind of problem with the elevators. Finally, after getting very little sleep, we headed down to Lisez la suite

The Hotel was Awesome! The Bed was "beyond Awesome"! The King Suite on the 12th floor was spectacular! The Food Was Awesome, Especially the Breakfast Buffett! Hotel was nice, trolley stopped at the hotel so location was good. Service at the hotel including the restaurant was poor.

The hotel is beautiful. The pool is amazing. Front desk staff was great but the restaurant staff was less than pleasant. Great view but the driveway up there is insane!! I'll definitely go visit again but during summer only because I can't imagine staying there during a snow storm.

I was supposed to get a King bed, they gave me two queens. I ordered a "Hand Pattied" hamburger at the restaraunt, it was a frozen patty. The fire alarm went off four times before daylight one morning, it was a false alarm. They put us in a room that connected to another room. The lady was so loud in the adjoining room that we had to get our room changed. […] once we got our room changed they put us in a room next to the elevators. We could hear the elevators going up and down all night. We ended up checking out a day early. This was the worst vacation ever. I will never stay at a Hilton again. Lisez la suite

It was a pleasure staying here for Thanksgiving. The hotel is well-designed and the rooms are comfortable. We did not get a chance to use the pool area but it looked really nice. It was cold outside and the downstairs lounge was very warm and friendly. We will definitely be back!

I suspect that most of the time this hotel is very nice. It was clean and well-appointed. The problem was that it was understaffed for the holiday weekend. Rooms weren't available by check-in for many who hung around in the lobby until a room was clean. Only 2 people were working the front desk. Room service was halted until after 9PM and then, only […] pizza would be served. We couldn't even get a to-go order from the restaurant and take it to our room because only the buffet was being served. The bartender was the bright spot in the stay. We bought a bottle of wine and she gave us 2 glasses to take to our room. We checked out asap the next morning. It seems they took the easy way out...buffet only, no room service etc to increase the bottom line. It's just a shame that you can't have luxury even when you're willing to pay for it. I'm not saying I'd never go back. I might give them another try but it won't be over Thanksgiving weekend. Lisez la suite

We usually visit TN every year and stay at the chalets. HOwever, we decided we'd try the hotel this time, since it's closer to Gatlinburg. i'm glad we did! The hotel and staff were wonderful. We were welcomed with fresh, delicious cookies =) The location and trolley ride to Gatlinburg was perfect for 50 cents per ride...Can't beat that! We decided to take a trip to Gatlinburg spur of the moment with our 2 girls (7 & 9 yrs). My husband and I stayed there about 16 years ago and it was a really nice hotel then. I was a little nervous about booking it because I was afraid it would be kinda old and dated...it was SO far from old and dated! I think it's nicer now than it was 16 years ago! […] And it was nice to have the trolley so we didn't have to fight traffic or try to find parking. Very spacious room...bathroom's a little small but worked fine. Views on both sides of hotel were beautiful! Our girls also enjoyed the pool at night and the playground the next morning. We came to this hotel over the past weekend as a short get away and it was way above our expectations. Such comfortable rooms with a beautiful view of the mountains. This hotel had been recently renovated and was very nice. It is conveniently located close to town of Gatlinburg (2-3 minutes), however, you feel like you are in the mountains away from everything.

My husband stayed here back in the 1970s. He remembered it as a fine hotel...and it still is. The common areas on the individual floors - @ the elevators, coke machines, etc. - show their age (walls are popcorned, it's a bit dreary, stuff like that) but the rooms have been redone and ours was super clean. The room, furniture, and vanity areas were beautiful. […] The small-for-modern-hotels bathroom hasn't been redone to the extent the rooms have - tub with shower curtain - but it was super clean. The rooms have great views from balconies that overlook the mountains and Gatlinburg and the food in the restaurant is great. It's on a high hill about a half mile off the town's main street, and it's not really walkable as there is no shoulder part of the way, but Gatlinburg has a great trolley system for 50 cents. I have no complaints about the hotel and would make it a point to stay there again. It would be a good hotel anywhere, but it's a great hotel in Gatlinburg! Lisez la suite

Located on a hill above downtown Gatlinburg. Free parking and uncrowded. Great views from your room (at least from the 4th floor up), especially when there is fall color. I think that all rooms have a window with a view. Use the free shuttle to go into town for shopping, the Convention Center, and dining. The hotel has a good breakfast buffet at a […] reasonable price. Check if they have a discount you can use. If you stay someplace else, be prepared for terrible crowds and difficult parking! No negatives about this hotel. From the very courteous and free cookie check-in, the outdoor bar area with a fire pit, the well decored room, amazing views, very nice pool area, the trolleys being a leg saver, to the easy checkout. This will be my place of rest in Gatlinburg from here on out!!

The service at this hotel is amazing! The location is great because its away from the hoopla of downtown. And to go downtown you pay just ¢50 to ride the shuttle. If you can get an upstairs room. The location and presentation of the hotel gives you a feeling of luxury even though the price is very affordable. The view of the city at night was very romantic and festive. This is a class hotel.
