"HOTEL AGREABLE EN FAMILLE"Avis d'un client Hotels.com envoyé le 7 mai 2012
Hotel très agréable où nous avons aimé le sejour avec notre petite fille de 6 ans.Je vous conseille le petit déjeuner très copieux et typique canadien.Piscine couverte et salle de remise en forme très sympa . Personnel attentif et professionnel par contre éviter le resto du soir, pas terrible.A conseiller dans l'ensemble avec métro à proximité

"Hotel de la Montagne"
Very clean and well located. A bit noisy, as our room was situated right above a monster air conditioning facility. Hotel staff were very courteous and accommodating.
"Hotel de la Montagne"
Great location, rooms were very large and clean. Staff did not go out of there way to make you feel welcomed.
"The Hotel De La Montagne in Montreal Canada"
I enjoyed staying at Hotel De La Montagne . This is my second year in a row visiting in Montreal and enjoyed my stay just as much this time around. The service was warm and friendly and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed dining and the convenience of two Restaurants a bar and grill and a night club with great music, all connected to the Hotel. Another […] good reason to stay at Hotel De La Montagne, is the shopping and the must see sites that are mostly all in walking distance. If I ever return to Montreal I would definitely consider staying there again. Lisez la suite
"A great place at a great value"
Fantastic place. You will enjoy this.
"Excellent value"
This hotel is an excellent facility to stay at, the location is superb and the quality of the service and the building is great. Would stay here again for sure.
"Hotel de la Montagne"
Hotel is right in heart of downtown Montreal for the shopping, restaurants and night life. It is getting a little tired looking but is clean and well kept. The staff are accomodating and friendly but don't go out of their way. Overall a great place to stay if you want downtown Montreal.
"Hotel de la Montagne - fantastic hotel+location"
What a great place! We had a *beautiful* comfortable room and the staff were really helpful. It's one block away from the street with all the terraced restaurants, and an easy walk up to Mt Royal, down to the old city, or over to the Latin Quarter. No complaints! :)

"Hotel de ll Montagne in Montreal"
Very nice hotel in a great location in downtown Montreal. The only thing I was very disappointed about was when I asked the maid for an additional coffee for the room and she said no. This has never happened to us in any other hotel we have ever stayed in.

"Pleasant and Convenient"
L'Hotel de la montagne is well situated in downtown Montreal and the bilingual staff were very helpful on several occasions. Our room was large and comfortable with a well-appointed bathroom ensuite. We enjoyed breakfast on the charming mezanine with its decorative European ambiance.
"Hotel de la Montagne in Montreal...great buy"
We were very pleased with our three-day stay in October. The room was the biggest and most comfortable standard room I've ever been in in a big city hotel. The location was very good. Help from the staff for planning tourist visits, etc., was excellent. Free WIFI, free umbrella loans,...all were very helpful.
"Hotel de la Montagne in Montreal"
Overall I had a nice stay. Convenient location, nice room. Will recommend to everyone.

"Good downtown location"
Great downtown location, breakfast could be included for the price

"Comfortable and Convenient"
This property is a little older but is very well maintained. The rooms were very large, and the hotel management has remembered all the comfortable details - fluffy pillows, robes, slippers... all the things that help make a hotel feel like home away from home. The staff were also very helpful and courteous.
"Quality of Hotel de la Montagne, Montreal"
An excellent hotel with spacious rooms and a separate shower stall - very important for elderly guests. Good service, and although I only had breakfast in the hotel, there was a plentiful supply of fresh fruit and choice of cereals, plus hot dishes if required. Helpful staff and altogether a good choice for Hotels.com.au

"Great Hotel"
Everything was perfect.
"great time"
The hotel staff was so helpful and friendly; the rooms were great and hotel felt luxurious.. Great location...shopping, food, transportation.. They had a great bar with live music at nite.. Very recommended!!!
There's a gentleman's club next door. balcony is pretty much useless. Unless you need to stay in downtown montreal go to the old port/montreal. Better hotels and neighbourhood.
The hotel was great close to places we were going, service fantastic room always clean.
"Hotel de la Montagne, Montreal"
The room was not all that, small and poorly decorated, but the bathroom was huge and obviously newly renovated. The bartenders do not know how to make a Cosmopolitan, they served vodka and cranberry juice in a martini glass. The surrounding area was very convenient. The Loew's Hotel is directly across the street so it is in a prime location. If you […] can't afford Loew's, this place is worth staying at just for the neighborhood. Lisez la suite
"Good place to stay but valet service is bad"
The valet service is bad as the workers use your vehicle to relax inside and then forget to take their garbage out. If your not parking then everything else is amazing.
"Hotel de La Montagne"
Friendly courteous and accommodating staff. Room very clean and location was great for us since that's where we wanted to be. Restaurant recommendation from concierge were also wonderful.
"Shabby hotel in need of updating"
I would not return to this hotel. I stayed in room 506 and it was shabby and seemingly dirty. The lighting was poor and there were initials painted on the window behind the curtain! The room had a balcony but no view. The lobby was noisy and smelled of smoke and there wasn't a doorman on duty when we arrived back at the hotel in the evenings after dinner. […] (I would be very uncomfortable staying at this hotel as a single woman) The staff at the front desk tried to be helpful with recommendations regarding restaurants and events around the city but that would hardly be a reason to return. I guess the piece de resistence was the note slipped under the door saying the water would be shut off the following morning for 3 hours!! Luckily we were out of there!!! Traveller you can definitely do better! Lisez la suite
"Hotel de La Montagne"
Great location, fantastic big room & bathroom! The rooftop bar and the pool are a real find in the middle of the city. However, we stayed a week and were only allowed one free tea and/or coffee - this is a really mean attitude. They even charge $1.25 per tea bag after that! I don't like the sign "you are forbidden to take food etc to your room" and […] the staff have the right to check your bags! What a load of bollocks! It makes one feel like you are in a prison. Lastly, the balcony is HIDEOUS and why they haven't jazzed them up is beyond words...to come out of that beautiful room onto that ugly cement wall ruins the ambiance immediately. Lisez la suite
"Close to lots of restaurants and bars"
Hotel is in a fun neighborhood, and is close enough to walk to the Business District, the Port, and old Montreal. The rooftop pool, restaurant and bar is fun (although it can get quite crowded).
"Pleasnt stay"
Nice room that was comfortable. very convenient location that is close too everything. the outside of the hotel is in desperate need of a face lift. Pool and terrace on the roof was a big bonous.
"The hotel de la Montagne was a pleasant surprise"
The staff was friendly and helpful. They recommended several restaurants that were great, and even made the reservations for us. The hotel location could not have been better, central to shopping, restaurants and night life. If by chance you don't want to venture to far the amenities in the hotel are plentiful, including entertainment in the lounge, […] and a roof top pool. Our room was spacious and nicely decorated as was the rest of the property. Great hotel and reasonably priced. Lisez la suite
We have always chosen Hotel de la Montagne when we stay in Montreal and it did not disappoint this time. Location, location, location! Walking distance to shopping, restaurants. Staff friendly and helpful always, and room was very clean and comfortable. We are looking forward to our next stay.Highly recommend. Recommend renting bikes and cycling to […] the waterfront and through old Montreal. It was a high light. Lisez la suite
"Great Hotel; Nice People, Excellent Location"
We stayed for two nights (July 15th & July 16th) and the staff could not have been more helpful. The location is ideal for dining and a short cab ride to Old Montreal.
"Best hotel I've ever stayed at"
So, I'll admit my experience with hotels is not the most wide-ranging in the world, but I have nothing but good words to say about the Hôtel de la Montagne. Located within a 5- to 10-minute walk from most major downtown shopping as well as the Bell Centre, it made getting around very easy. From the moment you walk in, the staff are extremely courteous […] and helpful, not to mention fluently bilingual. At check-in, we were upgraded to a larger room at no cost for both of our nights. The room itself was gorgeous, perfectly clean and tidy and very comfortable. The bed was especially nice - I don't think I've ever slept so well in a hotel. The amenities in the hotel were also numerous, although we didn't take advantage of much apart from the TV, which had a fairly good selection of channels. The air conditioner in our room was also fully and easily adjustable. We even got a pair of fancy chocolate truffles supplied along with turndown service after our first night. The one slight downside about the hotel is that the balconies don't offer the best views of the city, even on the 10th floor, and they open onto a rather noisy street. But this is a very minor grievance, and it is still better than having no balconies at all. All in all, this is the single best hotel I have ever stayed at anywhere. In terms of value for money, especially if there is a sale, Hôtel de la Montagne cannot be beat. Whenever I go back to Montreal, this hotel will be the one I check first. Lisez la suite
"Nice except the pool"
This hotel was overall very nice. Excellend central locatoin, very comfortable rooms and beds. The rooftop bar is popular among locals which for me was a negaive. The hotel boasts a rooftop pool however it is not reserved for hotel guests after 11:30 AM.This is fine if you want to have a morning swim, but if you want to use the pool for afternoon sunning, […] forget it. You will have to compete with the locals who line up at the elevators to spend the afternoon at the pool. The management is more interested in selling cocktails that pleasing their hotel guests in this regard. Lisez la suite
"Hotel de la Montagne is located in a vibrant area"
within walking/biking/Metro/bus distance to everything. The room I had was spacious, clean and comfortable. The shower was great, although the lighting in the bathroom left a little to be desired. The only complaint is that the rooftop pool is open to the public, so it's unrealistic to expect to find a place to sit, even though you are a hotel guest. […] We were unable to take advantage of this amenity throughout our stay. Lisez la suite
"beautiful boutique hotel"
I stayed here for a conference that was held at a larger hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. I definitely intend to go back to Montreal, and would stay here again!

"close to sights with lots of hidden fees"
We checked into hotel 40 minutes earlier than typical arrival and were charged $20additional for parking- they did NOT tell us this at check in. Found out when we got our bill at check out. We would have parked on the street until check in had we known this. Also, they charged us $20 per night for having 3 ppl in a room with 2 queen beds. Lots of fees […] that were not made clear up front. Pool is open to public at 11:30 am and gets VERY crowded. Not a leisurely hotel pool at all. only benefit is location but there are many other hotels in same area. Hotel is very dated. Lisez la suite
"Hotel de la Montagne in Montreal"
Traveled from NY to Montreal by train. The hotel was only a 15 minute walk from the station, or a 5 minute cab ride in good traffic. HOtel staff was great! They gave us brochures for the festival that was going on and were very courteous. The pool area is a good place for socializing. and having a few drinks. Rooms were comfortable, worth the price. […] Bathrooms were spacious, had a tub and a shower separate, 2 sinks and a ton of vanity space. Breakfast (not included) was wonderful. Freshest fruits, yogurt or hot pancakes, bacon eggs and delicous pastries. Service was very warm and friendly. Worth the price. I would highly recommend this hotel and all its ammenities to everyone. Lisez la suite
Location of hotel was nice. Easy to get to sites. Only problem in the room was the noise from the pool area on the roof. You could hear theing moving around.

"Hotel de la Montagne Montreal"
Excellent stay. Clean large room with a marble bathroon that had a seperate bath, shower stall and sink area. Excellent service, great place to dance in the lobby with great DJ that sings and plays the key board. We will be staying here again
Good location and quality for a price
"pool area"
The pool on top of the hotel is very nice. However the hotel needs to monitor who goes up there. There are to many low lifes at the pool. The language they use tends to destroy the atmosphere.
"Hotel Montagne in MTL - enjoyable stay/nightlife"
The hotel is just off of a major street, Sainte Catherine with plenty of shops, and has a popular rooftop patio/bar, groundfloor lounge and groundfloor bar. All three were busy throughout our 5-day stay, making them an easy choice for nightlife. The room was clean and spacious, though the bathroom only had a shower (no tub). Very reasonably priced, […] and close to a Metro station, bus, high end/mid-range shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again. Lisez la suite
"Hotel De La Motagne in Montreal near St. Catherine"
Great hotel, the staff were very friendly and very helpful. Only annoying thing was the people coming up to the club/pool in the terrace, because they take up the elevators for those who actually pay for a room at the hotel, other than that very satisfied.
"only one bad thing"
The pillows
"Nice hotel"
Clean, quiet and comfortable. Not pretty from the outside, but the foyer and rooms are very stylish. Very special chocolates put on pillow at bed turn-down time. The balcony is rough concrete - not suitable to sit out on, but gave a great view to what was happening in the street - and useful to check the weather. Hotel is right in the middle of hundreds […] of eating houses (never a bad meal), and convenient to the metro and bus route 515 to Vieux Montreal. Lisez la suite
