Holiday Inn Alicante Playa de San Juan - Alicante

found this hotel good value for money, friendly reception staff who spoke good english. 5 minute walk to bars and restaurants. Rooms, nice decor and clean. Gym equipment was a bit dodgy.

We stayed for 4 nights at the height of summer. The room was comfy and clean - but the fridge was really old and didn't cool things down properly. Also be warned if you are booking a double room it means 2 single beds pushed together! The pool area is great. If you want a lounger though go either first thing in the morning or during the siesta time […] about 2pm. There is kids paddling pool and a deeper pool. There is also some kind of jacuazzi area but it wasn't workign when we were there and I have read in other reviews that it didn't work on other people's holidays. So I wonder if they will ever fix it! We had breakfast on our last day only. Be warned though that the service at breakfast is appauling. We waited for 5 minutes and ended up seating ourselves. There were no teaspoons so people were stirring their coffee with forks and the coffee had an awful cheap taste. I've stayed in a lot of holiday inns and this was the worst hotel breakfast i've think i've ever had! But we ended up laughing it off as it was only a one off! You might want to reconsider having it every day, especially at 12 euros each. Overall it was a nice stay. Lisez la suite

Hotel is lovely and clean, the staff were frendly and helpful, the aircondioner was very low in the room which made it uncomftable as it was hot and the hair dryer was not working and their was no iron...The beach is a good 10/15min walk down hill and up hill on return to the hotel... the beach is very clean and child friendly. the night life is busy […] along the beach with bars, restaurans and ice cream cafe.. There are no local shops and the nearest supermarker is a 10 min walk..the trams are excellent way to travel into the centre and Benidorm..overall the hotel was fantastic and will def go there again Lisez la suite

Stayed in this hotel last weekend with my husband for 2 nights. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Room smelled of smoke, worn lino floor covering (4star?). The view was of what could only be described as a tenement that extended a full streeet of approx 50 apartments across and 14 stories high. Very unusual location for a hotel. Inte en gång till på detta Hotell. Rummen luktar illa kackerlackor på golvet och en frukost som var lite väl tunn för att vara ett 4 stjärnigt hotell. Smutsiga mattor och fåtöljen var ned stänk med nåt jag inte vill veta vad. Läget var inte heller så bra med en lägenheter som skymde utsikten som förövrigt var mot en bakgård. this is one of the best hotel i've ever been, it has really peaceful environment, the bus stop is just right in front of the hotel. We went to the Pub in Alicante city on a friday night and we didn't have any problem taking a taxi getting back to the hotel at 3 am. the taxi costs around 10 euro one way from the hotel to the city. UN BUEN 3 ESTRELLAS UN MAL 4 ESTRELLAS

We have just visit the hotel in Alicante and it is a nice, clean, and updated hotel in many ways. Internet in the rooms, tv, good beds, minibar. Close to the beach and walk distance to the cheap shops. Price level below index in DK with around 20% I would say. The employes in the reception spoke English, but not very good, but I think it is the standard […] in Spain in general that English is not that common spoken, so if you speak a bit of Frence that will help you. But they were very helpful. The hotel has aircondition - a good think during 02:00-04:00 PM, and a life guard at the pool. Very handsome and helpful as well .-) Our children really liked the pool and the big life guide. Toys also ok in the pool. We meet people fm England, Norway, Sweden, Spain, France and other countries during our 1 week stay at the hotel. The hotel has no balcony, ( i was missing this), but pool yeards for play pool (2 yeards), sauna, and a small fitness room with old fitness things... Carbets are old/used, but clean, and it all smells fresh and clean! :-) also they had a mini club for the children, where 2 young employes played with the children for free. I felt many employes around us during the stay, so a good service for a nice holiday. Also you can have you drinks served from the bar. Very friendly as well there. The area where the hotel is build is on some hills, so if you go to the beach it goes down and on you walk back it goes up !! So you will get good excerices if you are not in good form or have rented a car. But the area is so in general also for the other hotels. Also you can go by bus on route 21 to city Alicante and jump on and off - just upto the front door of the hotel one can say. We paid around 28 E for the taxi fm the airport and again on the way back to the airport in cash. The taxi do not take cards. A general meal for evening is around 40-65 E, and for lunch in the close areas around 30 E for 2 adults and 2 children. Nice waether all the time !! (+ 30Cdegre Lisez la suite

Buen hotel para pasar unos días disfrutando de la playa de San Juan. Habitaciones amplias y luminosas y zonas comunes con piscina, pista de padel y parking de fácil acceso. Si se busca conocer Alicante, mejor buscar alternativas más céntricas.

Es un hotel que en mi opinión no merece la categoría de 4 estrellas El baño es pequeño y no tiene bidé. La habitación tiene el suelo de parqué rallado. La decoración no parece de un hotel de 4 estrellas.

God beliggenhed ikke langt fra strand, indkøb og restauranter. Bus til Alicante lige ved hotellet. Dejlig morgenbuffet ,rolig og afslappet omgivelser.

The hotel is nice looking and room we got was big and perfect for 2 adult/2 children. Comfort and cleaning is also good, but 2 things was bad for our stay. After first day check in we get out to eat dinner when we come back with 2 children (6/7 years old) ready for sleep we found out it not possible lock door between our room and the neighbour room. […] You know 2 rooms can be used as 1 with a door between. This was late at night and I went down to reception to tell. 1 guy come looking at the doorlock and answer it was not possible fix this night, but they will do next morning. My wife did not sleep well this night knowing the door was not locked (maybe only she that is afraid of her children at holiday, but?). Next day we went out early to the beach and was around almost all day until 18 in afternoon. I then checked the door again, and it was not fixet - I went down to reception again and asking why and told them what happend last night (bad sleep etc). The only thing they can do was say sorry, cant explain why it is not fixed, and is not possible fix this day either. I went very angry, and now 2 of 4 nights at hotel was bad. Another problem at this hotel is wlan access. I'm working in computer business and need to do some work also when on holiday. I have a nice notebook with good wlan adapter but wlan on this hotel realy sucks. Was not possible get stable connection and speed was terrible (approx 10min loadning msn.com was normal speed). You also have to go to reception or call them to reactivate your access every morning and every afternoon, and I can't understand why. You use same user/password but they must reactivate the access every 12 hours or something in their system. It is also not possible using 2 devices at the wlan. If your computer is logged on with user/password, it is not possible access wlan with your mobile phone, before after the 12 hour reactivate period. Passer bra for barnefamilier. Flott strend 7 min gange unna, stranda var rein og fin, spesielt samanlikna med bystranda i Alicante. 5min til butikker, frisør, pedikyr, restauranter etc. Mange gode restauranter ved strandpromenaden. Stille og roleg boligstrøk. Fantastiske coctailer ved strandpromenaden, masse deilig frukt på butikken. Nyyydeleg mint-is!!!
