Très bonne expérience dans cet hôtel. Situé le long d'une autoroute mais malgré tout bien insonorisé, nous n'avons pas du tout été incommodés par le bruit. Beaucoup de restaurants et magasins aux alentours,proche des parcs d'attraction. Situation idéale pour se rendre à Bandera (en dehors de la ville) Petit déjeuner très correct, céréales, bagels, gauffres, toast ... A recommander sans hésiter.

"Red roof Inn"
I had a great time,the hotel location was a short walk from everything.The parking was only $5.00 a day which is a plus, it was a good stay,I liked it.

Overall the hotel wasn't bad. The room was clean, staff was friendly and helpful and location was pretty good. The only downside was the insulation wasn't that great so you can hear everything in the halls like it was in your own room.

Bed was a bit uncomfortable, but the room was clean and surprisingly quiet for being so close to the center (and being New Year's Eve). Walking distance to the Alamo and all the great restaurants...

Rooms are in very shoddy condition but relatively clean. Walking distance to all downtown attractions as well as being on a major trolley line. No close restaurants and not a good area to walk after dark. Constantly pressured by homeless for money.
Great location...within walking distance of Alamo and Riverwalk... which is good because the city charges an arm and a leg for parking. The hotel is also right on a bus line. Pool looked nice, but it was too cold to share. The breakfast was decent and well maintained. "good way to do river walk"
New Year's eve and every room was full. Staff was busy but very helpful. Room maintenance could have used a few extra people. Walking distance to river walk worked out fine. Breakfast was as advertised 'grab and go' and was fine. Would recommend.

"Don't stay durring a major event"
They only staff one person durring the Alamo bowl. The hotel was fully booked. Although the desk clerk was doing an excellent job trying to keep up there was no way for him to handle all the needs.

The hotel hallways were being repainted at the time we were there so there was a lingering smell of paint in the air. I'm not sure why they would pick the weekend before Christmas to repaint knowing people would be in from out of town to do Christmas shopping. The room was fine, just a basic room with 2 full size beds. There is no view to speak of. […] Looking out of our room window we could see a factory/warehouse of some sort which looked pretty creepy with no one there over the weekend. It wasn't until the day we were leaving that we saw that it was a working building. The other side of the hotel has a view of the bridge for the highway which you have to cross under to get to the riverwalk area. The hotel charges you to park in their parking lot even though you're a guest. There isn't any special service like valet parking. that would warrant a charge. I can't be for certain but shortly after staying there someone used the credit card I had used to pay for the extra parking to charge stuff online and I had to cancel the card. They also charged me twice for the parking. Pay a little more for a hotel room and save yourself the aggravation. Lisez la suite
"Alamo Bowl Stay"
My friend and I were in town for the Alamo Bowl and stayed here because it was within walking distance of the Alamodome and this hotel was rated fairly well by hotels.com customers. We got to the hotel for check-in at 3:45 and they were busy because of the Alamo Bowl, but check-in was smooth. I heard a couple people with "superior" rooms had to wait […] an hour before they could get into their rooms, however. The room offers tea/coffee and a hot water heater to make those with, an iron, a small TV with cable, free WiFi, and a safe. Most everything else in the room is fairly standard. Plenty of room for two people and location is ideal if you're just in town for an event at the Alamodome or Riverwalk (about a half mile walk) and looking for an economical place to stay. It's not a Riverwalk hotel, but you aren't paying Riverwalk hotel prices, either. Lisez la suite

"Close to Riverwalk"
Awesome front desk staff. Our check in was great, room was clean and very close to riverwalk and mall. The only bad thing is a $5 dollar a nite parking fee for parking in the parking lot. Not even a covered parking. But Awesome staff!
"Nice Place"
The room was just fine, and the bed had comfy pillows. The TV wasn't anything special, but this was a good place to stay when visiting the area. Easy access to main roads. The hotel doesn't have gourmet coffee or a great breakfast, but it's a more than recommendable place to stay for a few nights.

Great place, will definitely come back. Everything went as planned, helpful staff, clean room, comfortable beds and nice view/neighborhood.
"Riverwalk Down town in San Antonio"
This hotel is convenient to the Riverwalk and the Alamo. Parking is cheaper at the hotel than closer to downtown. The front desk help was excellent and informative. Our safe did not work but was fixed as soon as possible.

"Cheap, but not worth it."
Stayed one night, next morning live band started playing loud music at 9:30 am . Also water did not work for shower or bath tub. The management said they were sorry and refunded me a wopping 5 bucks for parking fee. Pay extra stay somewhere else.
"Not so good experience"
We checked in around 5 PM for a 2 night stay. Remote for TV wouldn't work. Called and it was replaced within 15 minutes. Great service but it was downhill after that. Noticed there was no tube stopped. Notified the front desk at 6:30 AM. Got back to the room at 5 and no stopper. Stopped by the front desk on the way to dinner and asked again, Was assured […] it would be fixed. Never heard from anyone. The second night was worse. There was a high school group occupying 10 rooms and our room was right in the middle of those rooms. We had to call at midnight requesting someone to ask them to hold down the noise. The noise and slamming doors started at 5:30 AM. Not a pleasant nights rest. Lisez la suite

This place is fairly low-frills. The complaints about the breakfast are legit, it's pretty sad. The price and location were enough to make it a great stay, though. One cautionary note...I put my preference as non-smoking but still wound up with a smoking room, so if you have allergies or respiratory issues, beware! I don't, so it was workable. The staff […] was friendly and competent, not outstanding but they got the job done. The room appeared clean and the a/c worked well. The in-room coffee was a lifesaver. There were some loud ignorant people on the floor but that's not the hotel's fault. The parking charge was very reasonable compared to others in the area. "Red Roof Inn San Antonio Downtown - Riverwalk"
Mostly a positive experience. The fire alarm going off at 5 a.m. because the HVAC hadn't been used in "heat" mode and set off the detectors wasn't too pleasant.

Although the hotel is right beside the freeway and our room faced that side it was quiet. Did not notice the freeway traffic at all. Proximity to the Alamo and all it's surroundings was excellent. We were within walking distance of more attractions than we had time for on this trip. There were 3 adults in our room. The size of the beds was okay and […] the size of the room was enough for all 3 of us to move around without bumping into each other. We agreed though; there is something wrong when it's cooler in the hallway than it was in our room. We worked with the a/c unit but they have it set so that the thermostat actually turns the a/c off after just 3 or 4 mins. There's no way our room was at 71 or lower. MAYBE in the area around the a/c unit, but not the entire room and that made us all uncomfortable. Fortunately, it's November so it wasn't blazing hot outside. After talking it over, we agreed that we would be willing to stay at this hotel again. Since we did not see everything we wanted on this trip, another trip to San Antonio is in our future. "Great location for walking in San Anto"
If you're planning to walk most of the downtown sites, great location. Very close to transit lines as well. The view from my room was excellent of downtown. Service was less than to be desired, but you have to expect compromise for the good price and location. Continental breakfast was very meager.

"Very convenient to downtown"
My husband and I were on a getaway for our anniversary and this hotel was perfect. Room was nice and spacious and eveyone was very friendly. We parked our car in hotel and didn't need to move it cause we were walking to downtown. Everything is so close by. Will stay here again.

I only spent two nights at your location and now I wish I could live there. Every member of your staff was friendly and very helpful. I was taken care of like a VIP and quite honestly I think I got away cheap. All of your Front Desk was "Johnny on the Spot" with all of my questions and even delivered more than I expected. "Not bad for the price"
The room was clean per se, but it lacked that extra something. No mini-fridge and a slight lack of maintenance as far as a drooping shower rod that allowed the shower curtain not to close completely on both sides. The real kicker is that when we arrived and confirmed our reservation, the hotel charged us an extra $5.00/day to park, go figure. Other […] than those particulars, it was ok for the money. the hotel isn't in the best neighborhood, BUT it is within walking distance of The Alamo and the Riverwalk! the front desk attendants were awesome and very helpful!! The only glitch in my whole three-day stay was the computer system was "down" when I came to check in. The clerk apologized and manually checked me in until the system was up. Staff was helpful, and the room was quite clean, and larger than I anticipated. A few minute walk to the River Walk, and access to I-281 was very convenient.
