La Quinta Inn & Suites Tampa/Brandon West - Tampa

my major complaint is that there was a large of of children there who were not adequately supervised and were in the hallways until 1 am. We tay at La Quinta because it is "pet friendly" and our dogs barked until ! am. Needless to say the nest days 12 hour drive was a bit tough. They should have a curfew policy.

I reserved a non smoking room, and when U got there, a smoking room was given to me. I do not thing that not even someone that smokes could have been able to sleep there.

I booked a room with 2 queen beds (for my 22 yr old daughter and myself). Upon arrival (mind you Hotels.com charges your credit card upon BOOKING), the hotel advised that Hotels.com was overbooking them, and the ONLY room they could provide was a handicap accessible room with ONE full size bed. Can't say it's the hotels fault. Booked through Hotels.com and requested a non-smoking room. The only room left was smoking. I was furious because my son has asthma. It was too late in the night to switch.

Everything was as I expected it. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends.

This hotel exceeded my expectations. The location was great, the staff was very pleasant, the rooms were spacious and clean, the breakfast was good, plenty of parking availability and easy to find as long as you don't trust your GPS.

This hotel was in an ideal location for where I needed to go in Florida. It was a reasonable in price. The only thing that turned me off was the smell of the room. It stunk to high heaven. But it was nothing than some Febreze couldn't fix.

Booked a nonsmoking room but none were available on arrival. Desk clerk got creative and gave me the handicapped room, which was ok. Breakfast was a joke with lukewarm coffee and not much else. The free wifi and HD tv's in the room wewe nice, but other than that there is no reason i wouldn't try a competing hotel the next time i'm in the area.

Hotel was clean, convenient location and very welcoming to pets. There were lots of dogs staying there but you would never have known it. Only thing I didn't like was the spreads on the beds--they were.ite scratchy.

This was a comfortable stay and the staff were very cordial and helpful. A little maintenance goes a long way, the room door would not lock when leaving the room. Thanks to one of the room service personnel knew exactly what to do. This shows that this is common and has not been completely fixed. We stayed in tampa for a concert and desk clerk was very friendly and the room was fine. We would stay there again.

Clean, updated rooms; convenient desk with all necessary hookups for laptop and accessories. Attending university and have booked room to get away from household (teenagers) to study for exams.

While this hotel is not close to the Tampa tourist spots, it is situated closed enough to 3 major highways that will get you there. Hotel personnel are extremely nice and helpful - a real treat from some of the other places I've stayed. Definitely a good placew to stay.

The room is the strangest arrangement I've ever seen. As you walk in, the bathroom sink is on one side, and the door to the toilet/tub on the other. The bed was old and lumpy. 3 of 4 electrical outlets in the desk didn't work. The thermostat didn't work. Location is on a busy thorofare, with few amenities. The beds in this hotel are the most comfortable I have ever slept in. The room was labelled handicapped but the bathroom sorely needs some grab handles. The walls of the bath were totally smooth and there was nothing to hold onto. Would definitely stay there again. Staff was extremely friendly.

The front desk personnel are professional and friendly. Breakfast is decent (belgium waffles, fruit, bagels, toasts, cereal, oatmeal) and they have complimentary newspaper and cable tv in the breakfast room. Lots of restaurants nearby and close to highways. Not bad for a week.

We had a great time. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Very pleased.

La Quinta is always a good hotel for a decent, no frills room and this was no exception. The room was clean. There was a minor issue at check-in...no rooms of the type we had booked were clean and ready when we got there at 4:30 (well past advertised check-in time), although I doubt it was a normal occurrence in the hotel. It sounded like one of the […] cleaning ladies had called off sick. Of course, I wish they had contingency plans for when this occurs. They did end up giving us a room with a king bed instead of the 2 queens we had requested to get us checked in right away. I booked one night with my family, we have four people, the double beds turned out a little smaller than we expected, I thought it should be queen size bed. The others are good, but the breakfast, we do not have sausage, that's what I am expecting, so I do not like the breakfast very much.

We traveled from NYC and needed a place to stay that took pets and didn't charge a fee. This was the only place we could find online that didn't charge. Friendly receptionist and excellent service. A nice area to walk the dogs, nice pool!

The hotel was older and in satisfactory maintenance condition, no better. Staff and service OK. Breakfast poor. I would recommend if price and location are a consideration and your stay is short. Not elegant, but basically serviceable. Good location, near the interstate. I got what I paid for.

Our stay here was OK as our primary concern was that our pets could travel with us. The room was "well-used" we'll say, an older hotel. We were on the first floor and you could hear pretty much everything that went on on the second floor above you. The staff was friendly enough and complied readily after check-out when I called and asked them to look […] for my lost ID. We stayed at this location because of the proximity to some business we were conducting in the area. We almost always stay at La Quinta's, but this was definitely not our favorite site. A group of us traveled a few hours for a concert in the Tampa area and needed a place to crash afterward. The hotel was inexpensive and comfy, and was a short distance from the major roads (i.e. easy to find). If needed, I would stay there again.

very nice stay ,but need to up grade tv and smoking out side of front door not too good ,but over all just fine

well, i don't quite get how other customers have rated this place so high (4.2/5). the hallways and rooms had a really bad smell, the room was everything but clean, the AC in both rooms were no working properly at all (put it on 72 - freezing cold, put it on 73 it shut off), the fans in the bathrooms didn't work, and the breakfast, well, you will be […] way better of going to DuDo and spend $3 there, honestly. I have stayed in the motel a number of times and have been very happy however this stay was a little different. When I first arrived the room was extremely warm, about 80 degrees and it took several hours for it to cool down. I went out to dinner and shopping and when I came back, about 2 hrs later it was still warm. It was after I came back from dinner […] that I turned the TV on for the first time and the coloring was so bad you could hardly watch it. All the channels were the same, very dark. I attempted to correct the coloring but was unable to. When I left the room the next morning I reported it to the front desk and when I arrived back in the room later that night it was better but still not like it should have been. We also did not have a frig or microwave in the room as we had in the past. When I asked about it I was told that since the room had 2 beds we did not get a frig unless we paid extra for it. I have always had 2 beds when I stay at this hotel and prior to this visit I have always had a frig in my room. Lisez la suite

My first time staying at a La Quinta hotel was better than expected. Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Only complaint is that you can clearly hear the people walking on the room above. This hotel allows animals and smoking. It was smelly but should be expected to some extent because of the animals and smoke. You get what you pay for.

The entire experience was a great one, the rooms are incredibly clean and the staff was amazingly friendly!!! Especially the lady that takes care of the Breakfast Lounge... The only downfall is that the neighborhood doesn't seem to friendly at night and after 11PM all the restaurants are closed; only the common fast food drive-throughs are open...
