The memorable aspect of the stay was parking - they plowed their snow to block the stairwell from the upper level, (why not plow it to the corner where cars cannot park?) pedestrians were then left to walk down the ramp, which during this season had icy patches - thank goodness it wasn't actually snowing. Additionally, the ramp is awkward when full […] (which it quickly is)- you are supposed to double park and leave your keys at the desk on the main level (people don't, and parking is less available), and upstairs the row is so narrow you don't feel right parking in the marked spots as it'd be very challenging for the nearby cars to maneuver out so people were parking where ever felt reasonable. The rooms were okay - dated but seemed clean and everything worked, staff was friendly, breakfast was the average free option, the upper level of the hotel was not available for Lake Michigan viewing as was advertised in the lobby as the elevator would not go to that floor. First, the wait to check in was over 30 minutes with 2 people at counter and only about 5 parties in line. Why?? Not known. Then, room is sweltering hot and cannot get it cooled down. Call desk and nobody in maint. there to help on a Sat. Then, upon returning from evening find a man in the vending area passed out or hurt on floor and called front desk […] to report the incident. The next morning, the man was still there on the floor. The front desk apparently didn't do anything to help him. Upon arriving home, we find our debit card was charged $110 for incidentials of which we spent 0. We were told from the hotel upon calling them about this it was a charge to ensure we had the money for incidentals if we had any. It is going to take 7 DAYS to return funds to our debit account that we never spent. Unacceptable. I will never go to this hotel again. Lisez la suite

This is just a matter of personal taste but I would get rid of the king-sized beds and replace them with queen-sized ones, allowing more space for a infinitely more comfotable arm chair to replace the stiff-backed side chair now in the room. t would be useful if the cleaning staff checked to see that lamps, clocks, etc. are plugged into the wall. I had a very pleasant stay. The beds were comfortable and the room was well kept. The parking lot was cramped and expensive, but parking in this part of town is not easy so I was happy to pay the $10. The location of this hotel is excellent. It is a beautiful area with lots of attractions in easy walking distance.

Ceiling tiles hanging, bathroom in serious need of some updates (rust) Mold in the coffee pot, no free parking - no notification either. The only blessing was the location, the view and the front desk staff.

Hotel front desk staff incompetent, they clearly needed more training to do the basic functions of their jobs effectively. A bummer after staying at so many nice Comfort Inn hotels, this one let us down. I paid a little more for my 27th wedding anniversary, but this place was not quite worth it. Location was nice, but the desk staff was rude. The breakfast staff and food was good. I cold not believe there was no pool.

Last stayed at this hotel two years ago and it is appalling how run-down it has become in that time. Stained furniture in our room, filthy carpets, dirty elevators that periodically stopped working, and a former terrace with a view of the city that has become a garbage depot. Will not stay here again.

I was very disappointed- carpeting was wet from humidity, only one person behind the desk and lines of people trying to get assistance, our car was parked into the parking ramp- couldn't get help to get it out. Best part of the stay was.the.shuttle bus driver Reggie-he was very helpful. Customer service staff was not very personable. I was told to wait at the front desk while she finished the nightly deposit. They charged my room to a different credit card that wasn't even mine. The cleaning staff was extremely nice and worked very hard to maintain a somewhat decent looking hotel. Its unbelievably outdated and it smelled terrible, […] a cross between mildew and just dirt. They need to work on their customer service. Our questions went unanswered; employees blamed each other for problems. We were assigned two rooms-the first room was not cleaned, a new room was assigned to us-the comforter had stains all over it and cigarette burn holes.

I was very excited to travel to Milwaukee to receive a nice award, and so I splurged more than I would have ordinarily on my hotel stay. I booked the King Size Jacuzzi Suite. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the view was nice. There were cigarette burns in my bedside chair and a huge burn hole on my bench near the entrance. The nautical sitting room did not match anything else and the valance/wallpaper combo in the bedroom gave me a headache. Who decorated that place? Great location. Can walk to the lake, art museum and other sites. The free breakfast is fine- good for kids. The room was clean but a little warn. Could use some updating. Overall a fine stay and I would stay there again.

We were in the room for only a short time. We came to Milw to tour the university.this hotel was fine for our needs. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room felt small with two queen beds. The whole hotel needs up dating immediately. The staff is nice and accomidating. The hotel shuttle saved us a lot of money in taxis. It is the cheapest parking too. For Breakfast waffles are the best thing there. And the hotel overlooked the lake. So o overall if hotel was updated it would be a great hotel.

I knew right away at check in that we were in for trouble at this very sub-par hotel. The attendant at the front desk was unkept, rude and not the least bit helpful. The air conditioner was loud. The hair dryer in the bathroom looked like it belonged in an antique shop. The TV (a Zenith) had poor picture quality.
