it was okay- the ac was defective - surrounded like a washing machine full of baseballs. we finally turned it off at 1am as it kept waking us up.

At the beginning, I was not impressed with this hotel. While the lobby was comfortable enough, with its gas fireplace and complimentary chocolate chip cookies, our room was nothing to scream about unless you like hard beds and a view of a rooftop complete with air conditioning units. The constant slamming of neighboring doors did nothing to improve […] my opinion. However I soon found out that what I'd thought was rudeness was actually design. All the doors slammed unless you went to great pains to close them slowly and delicately. The loud repetitious slamming was not pleasant late at night or early in the morning. The elevators were incredibly slow, and the up/down button lights were out. To top it off, the hot tub didn't work. While it was warm, the jets were a joke. The hotel itself is in a rather industrial area, hidden behind a Denny's, All in all, I felt that what they were charging wasn't worth it. What mellowed me was their breakfast! I usually try to stay in a place that offers a complimentary breakfast, because with kids it saves time and money. I'll also say that this breakfast went beyond the usual bagels, Fruit Loops and mini muffins. It offered not only the standard eggs and sausage but also ham, and cinnamon rolls, plus biscuits and gravy that were actually decent! The coffee was good and the cinnamon rolls hard to resist (although quite sweet, so one was plenty). There were also pancakes, and the obligatory yogurt and toast. The two hotel workers who were overseeing the breakfast were kept busy cleaning and refilling food, but they were helpful and courteous. The breakfast area was spacious enough so you weren't constantly rear ending other guests, and they had an overflow area to seat extra people. Throw in a complimentary USA Today, and I was willing to give the hotel a bit of a break. I still felt the room was rather basic and stark - no fridge or microwave - but a good breakfast goes a long way towards soothing the savage beast. Lisez la suite

This was one of the worst hotel experiences I've ever had. You could feel the springs in the mattress, I asked for a non-smoking room but it was next to a smoking room, and the hotel staff were very rude. Room did not get cleaned for two days despite requests.

Arrived at the hotel to be greeted with a large sign stating that the hotel was under renovations as it was being upgraded to the new Holiday Inn Express lineup. Lots of construction materials were around and the hotel did show it's age, but everything was decently clean and tucked away to be out of sight of most people staying the night. The hallways […] were dimly lit and the hotel could be dated by the carpets that were still in place. The room was decently clean, but did show signs of use. Bathroom was clean and all the typical amenities were present. Close by to gas stations and a Denny's - so getting a late dinner wasn't a problem. The parking lot was well lit - with other hotels around - and security making the rounds, so leaving a car with an open trailer was not a concern. Morning breakfast was included and was very fresh - a nice little perk to all the construction. Great staff at the front desk and couldn't ask for anything else for a one night stay. Hopefully the construction picks up pace and makes the hotel look and feel like the newer Holiday Inn Express chains that I've stayed at before. Lisez la suite

Staff was unfriendly, even when we called them at four in the morning to tell them they had woke us with a wake up call in error. No apologies just rude. Pool was not warm as told, hotel is not well maintained (Filthy)!

Angela with the breakfast staff is the best- she was so friendly and helpful-even at 6am! Great breakfast thanks to her :)

My boys and I stayed here for a snow sledding trip to Flagstaff. Check in was fast, room was super clean, beds were really confortable and breakfast was way better than a continental as advertised. We only stayed one night but found this hotel to be perfect!

Because of booking thru Hotels.com I didn't receive Holiday Inn Express rewards credits for this stay. The swimming pool was too cold for my kids to play in it (even though they said it was heated, i guess they need to heat it more)

The only negative was the pancake maker was broken. The ham, pepper and cheese omlets were pretty good.

Very nice hotel. Easy to find-- just off the interstate. Good breakfast with good service.

Overall, Our stay was great. The breakfast was exceptional, the room was clean and comfortable, and the it was a nice stay. There were a few downsides like being close to the train crossing, the location of the hotel, and the pool. Half of it was inside, and the other half was outside, but the water was very cold. Stayed 2 days to visit the Grand Canyon, the hotel is older and the second floor didn't quite smell that great. The breakfast was good but it was a delay to get down to the first floor because only one elevator was working. The stairs takes you outside so that was a little weird. Overall the stay was ok but would look elsewhere for a next stay.

We stayed at this hotel for a trip to the Grand Canyon - the park is ~90 minutes away. This hotel had lots of perks that made for a comfortable stay. We enjoyed cookies every evening and a great breakfast in the mornings - cereal, fruits, yogurt and pastries plus lots of hot options including eggs, sausage and pancakes. The hotel was fine - no more than average. Hotel website made it look like a luxury hotel and the pool looked huge and luxurious - it was very small. Don't expect anything out of the ordinary.

Nice hotel. No complaints with staff, cleanliness, or breakfast quality. I thought the bed was too hard but that's just my opinion. Overall, I'd recommend staying here.

It was a nice change from the usual waffles to have the fresh made pancakes made on a really neat pancake machine. This was a highlight of our stay. The Holiday Inn Express was up to the usual great standards.

Friendly staff, clean and a nice pool. I would recommend.

Hard to get to hotel, directions from interstate confusing. Room was standard for 2 beds. Very busy - holiday weekend stay. Breakfast was good, plenty of space in breakfast area.

Good place for a few nights. Easy location off of interstate. Breakfast was very good, though the layout was bad and the line was long. Need to add a few more separate tables for the pancake machine.

Even with the renovations underway, it was a pleasant stay - the staff was very professional and friendly. Due to many of the rooms undergoing renovations, check in took quite a bit of time.

The breakfasts were wonderful! An exhaust fan in the bathroom would have made our stay perfect!

We choose this hotel because we knew of the name. We just stayed here as a halfway point from Phoenix to the Grand Canyon. It was nicer than our hotel in Las Vegas on the same trip. They were remodeling but it did not effect out stay. There was too much noise from hallway but it did not effect our sleep. Never ate at hotel. Pool was cold and the pool […] area needed updating and the water was dirty. Room itself was clean and served its purpose. Would stay again. Flagstaff did not really have anything for us to do. Nice, Clean hotel, pleasent staff. Hot breakfast room was clean and well kept. parking was adequate and seemed to be a decent area, dennys across from the parking lot and only a short drive to downtown flagstaff.

Picked it out of the blue, loved the location, the people were so very nice and helpful. The stay was nicer than expected considering I had no idea where it was located in town when I made the reservation. It was near nice restaurants and easy access to the freeway. The room was clean, quite and very nice. Would stay there again any time.

Everything is very old in the hotel, even with the renovations.

Requests were made in the front desk via in-room phone. Attendant does not take care requests until customer went down personally for the request. Room was not cleaned in the morning rounds. My husband placed a sign outside the door while we are still in the room before noon but removed the sign when we left the room @ 1pm. Upon returning @ 5pm, room […] was not cleaned. Request made on the phone for room cleaning in the evening. Staff was given time around 7 pm while we are out for an errand. Was assured by the front desk that their crew has a key to open the room while we are out. Upon coming back around 9pm, room still not cleaned, attendant called and was told that they heard that there were people inside the room that is why they did not clean the room. They probably heard our neighboring room but cleaning staff Didn't even check the room if people are inside. Attendant promised to clean the room. Our family has to go down to the lobby to wait for the cleaning to be done and went up to our room by 10pm. Upon coming back sheets were changed but no cleaning was done. Our family chose this hotel among all hotels for our vacation. We were dissappointed. On the other hand, they have good breakfast buffet. Food service superb. Indoor pool was nice except that the spa is outdoor which is not comfortable due to windy and rainy weather conditions. Lisez la suite

This hotel was very clean, the customer service was great, the room was very nice but it felt squished if you were sitting at the desk and one of the beds (two double bed room). There was also no refrigerator in the room which I found odd but being that this is slightly more upscale than your typical hotel I overlooked it. Note that they are under a bit of construction (my saty was in Mid March 2011). But noice is typically in a reasonable time of day.

Iwould compair thishotel to a motel 6 or 8 except for the price

The hotel is an older hotel by a while, and even though its age is known, its appearance is unexpected, it feels like a new hotel, and the rooms are well kept, and even though there was renovations going on the rooms were dust free, and well kept. I have been there twice and my experience has been plesent and I will continue to make that hotel my stay […] in Flagstaff Arizona. Lisez la suite

The service was good, breakfast area and breakfast were good and the pool area was nice. The only complaint I had was the cleanliness of the bathroom. Either the cleaning staff had long black hair or they didn't clean out the bathtub between guests. Also, with no bathroom fan, there was no way for the previous guests to air it out, so it didn't smell […] as fresh as I would like. Either way, I was disgusted. I would stay here again, but will check the bathroom before unpacking. Lisez la suite
