La qualité de service , l'amabilité du personnel et les petits déjeuners copieux ont rendu notre séjour trés agréable - la situation de l'hôtel au carrefour stratégique de la place Marques de Plombal facilite les déplacements en transport en commun vers tous les centres d'intérêts de la ville .

Très bonne prestation générale. Tout le monde au petit soin pour les clients. Je recommande vivement cette auberge. Des que je reviens à Lisbonne je sais ou réserver ma chambre.
Situation
Au cœur de Lisbonne, l'établissement Hotel Mundial se trouve à quelques minutes de marche des sites Place Figueira, Château Saint-Georges et Rossio. Les sites Ascenseur de Santa Justa et Cathédrale de Lisbonne se trouvent également à proximité.
Caractéristiques de l'établissement
Pour vous restaurer, cet hôtel à Lisbonne offre 2 bars/lounges. Cet établissement offre un petit déjeuner gratuit tous les matins. L'accès à Internet par Wi-Fi est disponible dans les espaces communs (prestation en supplément) et un point d'accès à Internet se trouve sur place. bon hotel, pas cher. il est en plein centre mais dans une rue très mal fréquentée, pas de soucis en journée mais il est deconseillé de s'y promener la nuit. sinon il est à 2 pas des rue touristique et des transports publiques, idéal pour nous qui etions avec notre bébé. les 2 restos de l'hotel sont bien, le petit-dèj est très bien, belle terrasse sur […] le toi avec une vue magnifique. les chambres sont bien insonorisées avec celles d'à côté mais les fenêtres sont de mauvaise qualité et la rue est très bruyante. la chambre etait bien sauf la moquette qui etait abimée et tachée. bon rapport qualité-prix quand-même. A éviter si vous le pouvez. Nous avions choisi cet hôtel par rapport à son emplacement très central. Ce fut le seul point positif à lui accorder. Chambres vétustes, hôtel plus bruyant de par son emplacement (voitures de police, ambulances, squatteurs et autres dormant et hurlant sous les fenêtres des chambres les plus basses). Parking Gratuit mais minuscule. […] Notre voiture fut bloquée par la voiture d'un autre client, impossible de ressortir du parking. Hotel très bien placé, acceuil sympathique. La climatisation est un peu bruyante, et le personnel de ménage pas très discret le matin. La chambre pour trois est assez spacieuse. Le petit déjeuner est assez copieux, par contre passé 10 heure, le buffet n'est pas réapprovisionné, il vaut mieux arrivé tot.

L'hotel est beau, les chambres sont propres, elles bénéficient d'une vue splendide, la salle de bain avec baignoire est très bien. Le buffet est vraiment très bon avec du vrai jus d'orange (ce qui n'est pas le cas partout). Le personnel est agréable et parle Francais. Seul bémol : le bruit dans les couloirs. Hôtel très agréable et très bien situé au centre près de tous les transports mais néanmoins très calme. Les chambres sont agréables et le petit déjeuner varié et copieux. Seul petit bémol, à notre arrivée, le personnel à la réception n'était vraiment pas accueillant (pas de bonjour, rien du tout). Mais, nous recommandons volontiers cet hôtel.

Nous sommes restés 5 jours dans cet hotel, nous y avons surtout apprécié la propreté de la chambre et sa situation géographique qui nous permettait d'être sur la place la plus animée de la ville en 5 minutes mais aussi de prendre le métro ou le train très rapidement. "Hotel well located - but NOT a 4 star"
We went to Lisbon for the weekend, chose this hotel online because saw it was well located, which is true. Just steps away from the centre, from the tour buses, and well known yellow tramways. However, the entrance is quite disppointing, the room is clean but beds are not confortable and the TV is from 1995. Not many channels available. Room service […] is expensive for Lisbon. The staff was not super friendly, they did they job, that's about it. The breakfast was included, which was nice, it was a normal continental breakfast. Nothing exceptional. Do not change your money at reception as they have a crazy high rate. Do it before arriving at the hotel. There was AC in the room which is nice but during the weekend we spent there, we had bad weather, and the heat did not work. No one cared of coming up to have a look at it. All in all, just an average hotel, definitely not a 4 star. On another note, we had to stay in another hotel for one night due to unexpected reasons, and we ended up staying in Alif hotel, which was only 3 star hotel, but we were surprised to see it was exactly the same level as the Mundial, cheaper and with flat screen TV and heater working wonders!! Everything about this hotel was top notch. I stayed there for a week, using it as a homebase to explore Lisbon and its environs, and to relax after a hectic whirlwind tour of Spain and Morocco the week before. Doorman to greet you and assist in any way, although I didn't need anything. Room was perfectly and promptly attented to the whole time. Room: Very nice, large bathroom with bath/shower combo, ample hot water all the time. TV was a little dated with not too many channel options, but that isn't a big deal for me. Plenty of room to unpack clothes, etc. Bed was comfortable, not luxurious but good enough. Breakfast buffet: Scrambled eggs, sliced ham and frankfurter type sausages for those that requrie a hot breakfast. But the real treat was all the beautiful fresh fruit, great Portuguese cheeses and marmalades, and fresh bread and rolls. Also was cereals and other options that I ignored. Hotel bar was shockingly expensive, as was the in house wi-fi, but there were internet cafes and bars all around the area. "Mundial, in the dark on too many issues!"
Even with a confirmation No. Reception was unable to find my reservation on check-in. Check- out the next morning was fraught and it took 20 minutes to convince staff that I had paid in advance. The first floor "international" restaurant only served Portuguese wines and my Cannaloni was dry and did not match the menu description. Several other diners […] near me were unhappy with their food. Very convenient to visit the castle, Alfama, Baixo, Chiado and Bairro Alto. During the day we could walk to almost any part of the old city. At night we would take a taxi. The hotel gives 10% discount voucher for purchases made at the ground floor street stores of the hotel building. There is a nice breakfast buffet that in our case came included with […] the room price. Internet is available in the lobby for a fee and in the room as well. The room was comfortable and we had views of the castle and Alfama quarter. The bar at the back of the hall has interesting collection of different shaped bottles of spirits. The hotel also provided free parking in the basement of the building. Coming out of the garage might be tricky due to the steep spiral ramp (harder if you have manual drive). An elevator gets you from the garage to the hall of the hotel. People at the front desk were very courteous and nice. Also the door man was very helpful getting us taxi at night. This hotel is in the middle of Lisbon. You can reach anywhere easily and take subway, bus and train easily. However, staffs seem like very busy. You could be able to wait for long time to meet them.

This hotel was pretty standard. Slightly dated rooms with uncomfortable beds, but not bad. The hotel staff have the typically European attitude that they are doing you a favour by allowing you the priviledge of staying there, but I've encourntered that across Europe so it was not really a surprise. The food in the resturant was good. The location […] is good. It's very near the main tourist area. I don't however really recommend going to Lisbon. It's quite a dirty, run down city. The room was spacious, comfortable (although my husband thought the mattress was too hard, I thought it was fine!), and clean. The hotel staff were friendly, helpful, and spoke English. Breakfast is a large buffet and nothing spectacular but given the large number of tour groups to feed, this is to be expected. The hotel is super convenient to all of Lisbon's different 'areas' (like the Baixa, Bairro Alto, and Alfama) which you can walk to or get a very inexpensive taxi from the line always waiting out front.
