"close to local attractions"
I've stayed in the past and had very good experiences, except for my 4-28-12 stay. At 3am the people in the room next to us got into a fight that lasted until 6am when the police arrived. There was no information in the room on how to contact the front desk and I didn't want to leave the room because the people fighting were in and out of their room. […] I believe the police were called by another guest, but I'm not sure of that. No one from the hotel staff seemed aware of the problem that I know of. we got there late an had to ring the bell witch is no problem but the kid who came out was in a muscle shirt an night pants an his 1st words to us was wat up! not happy...we asked about there rewards program an hes like i have no idea so the next morning we go to the front desk an ask the young girl working the counter an shes like hold on an we look […] at the mirror be hind her an shes writing on facebook an thats what she told us to hold on for! she also knew nothing about the rewards program,...never again! "Travelodge in Wisconsin Dells"
3 night stay, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The first 2 were fine. Saturday night begining at about 1:00 AM and continuing until about 5:30 AM there were multiple drunk, loud, and abusive young people wandering throughout both floors of the hotel. I understand that happens, but Travelodge people were powerless to stop it and did nothing more. Upon […] checkout I asked them what they would do for customers who had to suffer through the night. They took my cell phone and said the manager would call to discuss. Right, that was 48 hours ago and nothing. I called Travelodge Corporate, (Wyndam) 24 hours ago to relate the experience to them and they took all of information and assigned a case number. Again, no action from Travelodge. "weekend"
while our room was comfortable and quiet it needed a little TLC. We understand that the hotel is going thru a transition and it is not the high season but they sure could have used more help. The two gentlemen we dealt with did a great job under tough circumstances. HOpe to stay again.
The third shift desk attendant was sleeping and was having drunken ppl screaming and running up and down int he hallway and knocking on random doors.
people working there was not friendly @ all went swimming they knew we were in there we had to ask after a while to turn the lights on room was NOT clean
"Gross!"
Room they gave us was not cleaned or made up (they gave us a different one but didn't really seem to care) and many rooms had paper taped to the wall instead of room numbers. My mom saw a cockroach on the wall in her room and could not sleep. The pool was FREEZING and "hot tub" lukewarm at best. We joked that the staff was like "night of the living […] dead", TERRIBLE customer service! Breakfast consisted of waffles that came out SOUR (we assume they left the mix out too long and it went bad), cereal, and the end of a loaf of bread. We asked for napkins and were given a box of kleenex. I could go on and on...I have never stayed some place so disgusting and it's a shame because it has great potential... Lisez la suite
