Near to the stadium and the convention center, but also a few meters from a 19th century coal plant. The breakfast is so-so. Nice hotel though...

Tres bon rapport qualite/prix, service hotelier tres courtois et amical, dejeuner contiental tres copieux, cependant les horaires du dejeuner (jusqu'a 9h) sont trop matinales.

Très sympa, tranquille, et d'un style rustique.
Situation
Au cœur de Indianapolis, l'établissement Residence Inn by Marriott Indianapolis Downtown on the Canal se trouve tout près de Société d'histoire de l'Indiana, Musée Eiteljorg des amérindiens et Panthéon des champions NCAA. Les sites Conseco Fieldhouse et Stade Lucas Oil se trouvent également à proximité.

this hotel was great the room was clean beds were comfortable and the staff very friendly. We will definately stay here again!!!!!
"Newly Updated"
The was under a renovation process so we were the first people to sleep in our room after the updates. Very friendly and helpful staff. Great location if you are attending a game at Lucas Oil. Only a 15 min walk to the stadium or to the downtown area with restaurants.

"Residence Inn by Marriot on the Canal- excellent"
The staff was helpful, cheerfull and couldn't have provided a better reception. The rooms were spacious and the hotel was great overlooking the canal and a short walk to the downtown attractions.

The canal area in downtown Indianapolis is very picturesque and this Residence Inn is ideally located to enjoy it...Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff were very friendly and accomadating. We'd stay here again.

"Not a do again"
At check in we were informed that the hotel was not as close to the lucas oil stadium as I was told on the phone. They were going to charge us 17 dollars to park and the next day they gate was open so payment was not even needed. The room was nice however, it was right across from the housekeeping room and we were woe up at 9am after being up late. […] They would not let us play pool the night before as they said it would wake people up but then we were wokrn up by staff being loud. I would never stay at this hotel again!!!!!! Lisez la suite
The in room TV was very poor quality to the point it was eye straining to watch.

First off, it's right on the canal - we got a room on the canal level, so the water was about 10 feet from our window - nice and beautiful, seeing the ducks go by every now and then. They provide a nice continental breakfast, with eggs, sausage, cereal, belgium waffles, fruit, juice, etc. But I also need to give kudos to the staff. There was a problem […] with our room - there was an occasional leak from the room above us above the counter in the bathroom, which caused some dripping. Because of it, the manager gave us free taxi rides to get to and from the theater on Saturday night, which I thought was a good response. (I'm sure they would have transferred us to another room if we asked, but we didn't want to bother with moving all of our stuff). Also, the staff were great in helping us to find a place to eat. It was new year's day, and half the places were closed and the other half were booked, but the guy at the desk spent about half an hour calling places for us so we could have a reservation at a good restaurant somewhere. You are within walking distance of the zoo, downtown, and within a long walk of the Murat theatre, so the location is great. Being right on the canal was great for us as we love to run, so it gave us a great place to run without having to worry about traffic lights. The staff were wonderful, the location was ideal, and the breakfast was good. I would definitely stay here again. Lisez la suite
"Nice view, small bed, no happy hour"
The view and the location were the two nice things about this hotel. The queen bed was small, the room was out dated and not the cleanest, there was no social hour, the breakfast made my husband and I both sick, there was an extra charge for parking.
"Excellent Service"
Customer service was superb. Hotel is downtown in decent area; ample self-parking ($13 a day). Room was fairly basic, but was roomy and comfortable. Free breakfast was pretty standard too (scrambled eggs, sausage patties, waffle maker, associated bakery, etc). The customer service made the difference and is why I would recommend this hotel.

The hotel is located on a canal leading to the White River, with walkways on both sides, bridges over, and rental paddle boats. You would not guess you are in a major city.
