Rooftop restaurant/bar has unbeatable views of the Pacific sunsets. My wife and I also greatly enjoy the downstairs restaurant - excellent value meals of great quality. Highly recommended!

I first heard about this hotel while having lunch with my sister and daughter at the Roof top bar. Their service is impeccable. Its far enough from all the hustle and bustle of main beach but close enough to all the sites. Great location, lots of things to do within walking distance. We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights.the hotel sits about a 100 yards from the beautiful beaches of Laguna beach.we couldn't have picked a better location.the rooms were cosy,the bed comfortable,and the bathroom clean.the rooftop bar offered amazing views of the ocean and surrounding area.some great restaurants nearby but the restaurant within the hotel […] offered a great menu with fresh fish daily and had rave reviews.overall a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the hotel.would most definitely return again. We originally chose this hotel b/c of the amazing rooftop bar. Once we actually got down to our room we were very impressed. The room was cozy with an updated bathroom and great views. The front desk was also incredibly helpful. I would recommend this to anyone staying in the Laguna area!

Our room was considered deluxe, but was so small we could hardly move. There was no mirror over the dresser or a place to sit down besides the bed and one dining room type chair. We ate the first night in the Bistro which we really enjoyed and the food was fantastic. along with the prices. Had appetizers at the rooftop bar during the day which was great. Outside of this minor element and the party in the lobby due to construction... this is a great property on a great location in the heart of a great getaway. Maybe loosing some of its getaway alure, but ... wtd?

The room that we were given on our arrival was very unsatisfactory. We had been travelling for 15 hours. The room (203) was on the main floor in close proximity to the public washroom, and the live entertainment in the lobby. The room was small, had dim lighting, an offensive smell and the open window overlooked the garbage. In the morning, we asked […] for a different room and, for a fee, were given a better room (307) Room 203 should not be used for a guest room , it had no redeeming qualities of comfort. Perfect location. We could walk to restaurants, bars, and the beach. Service was excellent as well, and the hotel restaurant K'Ya was delicious and affordable.

this hotel is awesome. It is in an amazing place. Close to beach, shopping and resturants. But you really don't have to leave because the food and drinks are great at the Kya bistro and rooftop deck at the hotel.

The staff at the hotel were superb...very friendly and helpful and going out of their way to make my stay a good one. They were in the midst of a major renovation, so things were noisy and bit chaotic. So they upgraded my room, gave me a free bottle of wine, and free breakfast at cafe across the street. My room was one of the surf ones and it was outstanding! […] It is noisy on the weekends as their roof top deck is a happening bar, but if you like to be close to the action, it's perfect! Hotel Casa del Camino is about 10 minutes walk from the Laguna Beach shopping area. It is a very nice hotel. It is clean but kept up with old time atmosphere. Great place, close to town walking distance to shopping, beach. Breakfast was nice. Don't miss happy hour on the roof with beautiful sunsets.

This was my first time in Laguna and definitely will not be my last. If you're looking for a nice get away at an affordable price look no further. Amazing breakfast and we actually got upgraded to ocean view.

this is a VERY old hotel. we were on the first floor where they have parties and they never close the door to the street. we were very concerned about security. it was also freezing and the hotel is on central heat so they don't turn up the heat because the other floors get too warm. people came in and out off of the street constantly with noone knowing […] if they were guests or not, and the noise from the parties was really bad. also, the lighting in the rooms is one ceiling light. very little hot water. we were heart broken as this trip was a big deal for us and we never wanted to be in the room. Great getaway for two. Ocean views and walking distance to local shops and beach paths. Beautiful hotel with a delicious complimentary breakfast.

Beautiful hotel and bedrooms. The hotel has a rooftop bar and I would highly recommend getting yourself a cocktail and sitting and watching the beautiful sunset. Breakfast is good and the hotel has a nice restaurant. The only negative is the location, the other bars and restaurants are about a 20 minute walk away but a nice walk! A nice hotel with comfortable rooms, really nice bathrooms. The roof bar/ restaurant has amazing views. We called early to see if we could check in before 3, and were told it was possible, but then the room wasn't ready until that time. Breakfast was adequate, but included -which was nice.

Incredible view from the roof top deck, complimentary breakfast was delicious and good quality food, free access to local gym down the street, free parking. I can only say positive things about this hotel. The one thing some people may dislike is that the hotel room is somewhat small, but who wants to spend time indoors at Laguna Beach anyways?

We stayed here on the last night of a long weekend in Southern California. Pros - location is great for the beach, probably 100ft away down some steps. The rooftop bar is a very cool place to hang out, however can get pricey outside of happy hour. The lobby and bistro/bar are also nice, staff are helpful and friendly.. However, our main con was the […] inability to get even a few hours straight sleep. We had a bottom end room, small but clean-ish with no view. The bed was unbearably hard with protruding springs that poked with every movement, the most uncomfortable I have ever been on and no better than sleeping in a field on a sheet. The window a/c unit sounded like someone starting up a hot-rod every time it cycled to cool, waking us up until I came far enough out of a half sleep to get up and switch it off. Then, at 4am, the elevator alarm started going off. According to the employee that I tracked down after getting dressed and wandering around the hotel, it does this if someone uses it in the night!! Such a shame as this could be a great place, it seems attention to some of the more important details would go a long way, rather than trying to create a aesthetically pleasing hotel and a profitable bistro and bar. This hotel is literally steps away from the beach. The rooms are very small, but this is what you should expect from a historic hotel, and pretty basic. You can't beat the view from the rooftop restaurant & bar, I only wish they stayed open past 9pm.

This hotel offered amazing customer service. We stayed here for our honeymoon and the staff was very accomodating. They gave us a complimentary upgrade to a room that had amazing views of the ocean. It was in a great location and close to all the great shops. Would definitely recommend it and return again!

Our room was tiny, barely enough room to get around the bed with suitcases, but price was the best in the area for the day's we were there. The TV was old, pretty much everything was old and tired. I would go elsewhere within two or three blocks south to about 5 blocks north of downtown next time. On the plus side, the location was great, - walking […] distance to downtown. Close to Cress St. Beach and they have beach towels, beach chairs and umbrellas that you can check out. The bar on the roof has an amazing view and good but expensive drinks. Free breakfast, which was actually pretty good (eggs, bacon or sausage, french toast or pancakes, fruit, toast, etc.). This made up for a lot, but not enough for me to go back in the future. Awesome location, bar & Rstrnt on roof with the best view in town! Close to dancing and party not to mention the beach! The room was extremely small but clean! The breakfast should be full for the price! Not warm continental! Overall, love Laguna Beach hard to mess that up.

Very good location and they provide towels, chairs, and an umbrella for the beach that is steps away. Rooftop is nice. Inside of hotel somewhat dingy and rooms are below average in all respects. Very nice staff.

This is an old historic hotel and it's quite a walk to downtown Laguna. The parking is across the street, which was a bit inconvenient. The rooftop bar overlooking the ocean was great, but it wasn't easy to get a table for happy hour drinks. The biggest disappointment was the size of the room. I had a tiny but charming and lovely room! The hotel has everything-a beautiful rooftop lounge, "K'ya" small plates restaurant in lobby, a nice complementary breakfast with eggs, sausage, coffee tea, cereal toast & sweet rolls. There is really no reason to leave the hotel at all, since it has everything, except that you'll want to go to the near-by […] beach and the cute little downtown area! The only negatives were that the shower goes from warm-never hot water to freezing cold without you touching the faucet it at all. Also that staying on the 2nd floor can be really noisy due to the bar patrons using the nearby restrooms and the elevator to go up & down to the rooftop bar. Lisez la suite

Nice Room but Noisy from about 4a to 7a there was either work going on in the room above ours or the guest was exceedingly noisy

This is my 3rd stay at the Casa del Camino and every time it gets better. The staff is very friendly, and the woman at the front desk when we checked in gave us the low down on all the hotel secrets. We stayed in one of the less expensive rooms and it was small but very cozy, great for a couple on a budget. The hotel is historical so you have to take […] into consideration that the walls can be kind of thin, but it has never been a problem. The beach is just steps away. Hotel is dated, rooms are noisy and not very accomodating- no gym, business center, pool... Location is great, great bar on the roof and very nice staff. Would stay again but with the full knowledge of limitations.
