"Good stay but the bed."
Are stay was not bad. Nice easy check in with friendly greater. Easy to find rooms. Only bad was when we got back at about 230 and was going to bed we found dry blood on the sheets of the bed so we sleep on the floor. Was room 306. When checking out there was no one at counter so just left keys and went home.

This was a clelean quiet hotel. Easy access to the Hi-way.My event was across town so finding the Hotel was of great importance.Loved the indoor pool and spa. That it was inexpensie as cream on top of the pie.
Sheets don't fit bed, breakfast was horrible, does have nice pool, chairs and carpet are dirty.
If you like roaches you will love this place .
"Great location; friendly staff"
Overall, our experince was good. Some of the lamps in the room did not work and it was too dark to read unless the curtains were thrown back. The continental breakfast looked good, although my kids wanted to go out to eat. The pool was very cold and the hot tub jets weren't working, but it was clean and fun for the kids.

It was nice but not what we expected. The description said there was a bar n grill and an arcade n stuff a nd there wasn't. Overall it was ok just did not have what the description said.

"economical but not first choice"
This hotel used to be a Clarion but is now privately owned. It has some nice features and is a good safe, clean, basic stay for the price, but if you'd prefer to pay just a few bucks more, I'd recommend another selection.

"Carol Hotel Omaha - Nice Location!"
This hotel has a great location if you're looking to do things on the west/southwest side of town. The neighborhood is very nice, with plenty of shops, restaurants, etc. The hotel itself is very accommodating, with a very nice pool. They offer a continental breakfast that's very nice. "Good for the price"
We have stayed at this hotel several times when we visit the Omaha zoo. It's not perfect but we are happy with our stay especially for the price. the beds are comfy and there is cable, microwave, fridge, and a pool and jacuzzi. breakfast is limited but good and the service is prompt i would definitely recommend for a night or two, but if you are staying […] longer i would spend a little more on a nicer hotel. "carol hotel- never again"
We arrived at the hotel for w romantic weekend and we were greeted with disgust from the man in the front. He had to make several calls and deal with more important things while we were waiting to even begin to check in. Then another man came who looked like he just rolled out of bed and didn't even ask us if we'd been helped. Finally the man got to […] us, confirmed my card and previous requests and threw us a room key. We went to our room only to notice it did not have what we had previously asked for and what was confirmed. I called to the front desk and the man said 'fine come back down'. He then threw us another key and we got to our room disgusted. The air conditioner didn't work and it was an 80 degree day. The window opened about 4 inches and there were no fans. I didn't even take a shower because the bathroom was covered in mold. There was something glued to the wall and covered with Kleenex above our door. This is the night my fiancée proposed to me and I was happy but we had to come back to that room. The check put was a Kleenex box with a hole in it to put your room key in. Pizza hut is not allowed to deliver here or they get cops called for trespassing. Halls smell of marijuana. How to get in an argument with management to turn on the hot tub. What a joke

"Rundown & questionable neigborhood"
I read reviews on this hotel and was surprised when I showed up to find it wasn't as described. It's old, rundown inside and out, and I was nervous leaving my car in the parking lot overnight. The lighted night sign has letters burned out--in character with the overall condition of the place. They advertise a "continental breakfast", which was in a […] back room. The coffee wasn't drinkable, and several other guests walked in, looked and left--as I did. The only good thing about this hotel is its close to a large shopping center--about a mile away. The hotel never said it was the Ritz. And I got what I paid for. So if someone asked to if I would stay there again? It just depends on your price and where you plan to be in Omaha. Especially if your new to the area like we were. So I would tell a friend about it.

"Carol Hotel's Staff"
Hotel itself was decent, but the attendant at the front desk threatened me about underage drinking in a very rude manner as soon as he looked at my age on my ID. I was very insulted because I was a paying customer and had no intentions of doing that. I almost walked out right there but was not sure if I would be able to get my money back, so I just […] did not say anything to him because I didn't want to seem defensive. Yes, I'm 20 and live in the city this hotel is in, but I was staying there for the night because friends from out of town got a room in the same hotel and a friend and I wanted to be closer to them so we could spend more time together. I shouldn't have to defend myself. The price and location attracted us, and I have never heard a bad thing about this hotel before this incident, but just because of it I would not recommend it to any friends or family coming into Omaha to visit again. Clearly I understand underage drinking is wrong. I was not drinking in their hotel and did not deserve to be talked to like that. The rest of the staff seemed nice, and perhaps there's a problem at that location with parties, but I was offended at his tone and how he said it right after commenting in a rude voice "oh you're 20 huh?". Hotel Lobby and eating area were very cold but the temp outside was below 0. Our room was very comfy and clean. We will stay here again. The price was was very good.

This place was the pits. It once was a really nice well kept Hotel. And whoever took over let it go to waste. Hair in the towels, it said breakfast buffet, but it was a very small continental breakfast. TV was horrible you could barely make out the people on there. I don't recommend this Hotel to anybody accept people who want to throw a party.

All we needed was a place to sleep for one night, and the bed was quite comfortable. it is an older property, so there were some things associated with the age of the building that made it less than pristine. "Corperate Housing"
The company I work for pays for our housing and the place that we were scheduled to move into was still under construction so they put us up in the Carol Hotel for the little over a month before our apartment was ready. I was not looking forward to living in a hotel room for that long. The entire staff was amazing. Every time I needed them to bring […] something up to my room they were there within minutes. Every time the vending machine ate my money they were happy to reimburse me. Whenever the ice machine wasn't working and I called the front desk, by the next morning it was up and running again. House keeping was always so polite and if they were out of towels they would always come back when fresh clean ones were still hot out of the dryer. Jessica, from the front desk, would greet me every morning as I walked into the lobby and was always interested on how things were going for me and she was always more than happy to help me when I lost my room key or left it in my room or it just needed reprogrammed. There is also one lady from house keeping she was always willing to help me out. I really enjoyed the time I spent in the comfort inn. It made my life a lot easier in our transition from moving out of state to moving into a new apartment. Lisez la suite
"Omaha Move"
My son was moving to the Omaha area and I went for a few days to help him get settled in and for some relaxation for me. I always check TripAdvisor before going anywhere and was a little nervous about some of the posts. After consulting my son, we decided this hotel is in a good, central location in Omaha. It was close to Westroads Mall. The reviews […] were correct about customer service and from when I called to check on the hotel before making my reservation I was sold by the nicest woman named Jessica who answered the phone. She went out of her way to help me out. I had to postpone my trip a day so they were booked if I wanted to stay another day. She was genuinely happy for me when there was a cancellation. She was as nice in person as she was on the phone. Most everyone I met behind the front desk was very friendly. I have to also give kudos to the woman who works in the breakfast area. She was so kind and helpful and worked hard to keep the area clean and stocked. The room itself was OK. It was clean and comfortable. The furniture and carpet was a little dated, but it was clean. I had a king bed and a pull out sofa. Plenty of hot water. I did not use the indoor pool, workout room. The hotel also is pet friendly which is good to know if we come back to visit our son and bring our dog for him to see. All in all, a nice hotel with some outstanding employees. Lisez la suite

The carol hotel is in need of repair. The halls are very cold and the breakast room as well. the breakast is sparse at best.. The shower curttain is falling down and the maid service is sparadic as well. Not a good pick when you travel on business.

Lobby smelled of natural gas, and the entire hotel was very cold. Not cool, but cold, a coat was required outside of the room in the hallways and elevators. Breakfast was from 7-9AM, but was out of food except for cold coffee and bread well before 9. Area around ice machine was filthy. Staff was friendly and helpful, and the room itself was adequate. […] But the overall impression was a hotel that could not afford maintenance, heat, or advertised services. "could be nice"
Was very disappointed. It was clean but had nothing in the room as far as pamplets or even a remote for a very old tv. If they spent a little money on some upgrades it could be a very nice hotel.
"Poorly kept hotel"
When we walked in the Front Desk greeted us very quickly. Check in was smooth and only a few min. I immediatley noticed that it was very cold throughout the hotel though. Its like they were being cheap and didnt want to turn on the heat. In our room, there was a very out dated TV, food left over from the previous guest in the fridge, the shower head […] was broken so water leaked every where and there was calcium buildup too (gross). Then the toilet seat was broken. I called prior to booking this room to as if the pool area was in working order. They said it was, however when I got there, the whirlpool water was DISGUSTING and didnt work. The pool was ice cold and the room's temp and hallways surrounding it was freezing too. There were only a few SMALL towels in the pool room as well. Only a few select channels on TV. Lamps werent plugged in. The "contininental breakfast" was a joke. Cold biscuits and gravy, ceral and bagels was our only choices. Overall, a big disapointment. I really hope the manager sees this too. The hotel has potential, but there is NO UPKEEP what-so-ever. "Good if you need a room. You get what you pay for."
Don't have high expectations. You get what you pay for, it is a discount hotel. The restaurant is not longer located at the hotel but enough restaurants close by. Safe neighborhood, I had trouble with wireless internet but they did try to help get it working. It is worth the cheap price but don't expect much. You will get a safe place to stay. It seemed […] to be clean. It is old and has what I would consider normal wear and tear. Nothing special just a good price. Checked into hotel. The manager who checked us in seemed like he had better things to do than to be checking us in. Asked him about a roll away bed and said that since there is a sofa sleeper in the room already we didn't need a roll away. When downstairs to get bedding for the said sofa sleeper and they said they didn't have enough linens for the extra […] bed. The location of this hotel is very good, as easy access from "L" Street, off I-80 in the southwestern area of the city. Located on 108th St. which has many fast food type of restaurants, gas stations, other hotels, and within a very short drive to Center Rd. which has upscale shopping mall and better restaurants. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very […] quiet rooms, could not hear elevator, hall noise or noise from neighboring rooms. This hotel has standard, average sized rooms, rather small bath room, but overall very clean and nice. Good bedding, furniture and nice decor. This hotel is good for basic travel needs, traveling with children as it provides all that you need. Large pool, geared towards children, located inside. This is a good basic hotel, nice and clean. Location is away from downtown, Old Market area, Zoo and baseball stadium, but you can reach within 20 min. on I-80. It is near shopping, not too far from other shopping areas located in the western part of the city. Hotel is located in a safe area of the city, so if you are traveling alone this area would be fine.
