Hôtel de haut confort. Salle de sport un peu décevant, car petit. Chambre très bien. Service excellent

Le service et le confort sont irréprochables. Le personnel est souriant, courtois et a apporté des réponses à toutes nos questions et sollicitations. Si l'on peut reprocher au hall de manquer de personnalité, ce n'est pas le cas des chambres, dont la décoration est chic mais teintée d'originalité. Léger bruit de train dans notre chambre (les voies de […] train sont derrière l'hôtel), mais pas gênant du tout. L'hôtel est localisé près de la gare, dans le quartier des Paquis, plus cosmopolite et moins touristique. L'hotel est très bien : très bel déco, confort, accueil et service irréprochable. Il y a même hammam/sauna/salle de sport et c'est propre et de qualité. Nous n'avons pas pris le petit déj car il était cher selon nous mais c'est genève !! Il est vraiment proche de la gare et à 10 mn du lac. C'est donc très pratique pour aller louer des vélos sur le quai […] (il y a même des prets de vélo !!) Seul point négatif, les environs: c'est un quartier proche de la gare comme dans toutes les villes. donc pas le meilleur quartier. Il y a un très bon restaurant chinois sur la meme rue. Séjour parfait !!! Très bons conseils et très bon accueil de la réception. Des services gratuits très sympa : hammam, sauna, gateaux et friandises à la réception, pass transport ... Déco superbe. Proche gare et lac ...très pratique .

Le troisième lit adulte est trop étroit.

Hotel bie,n situé avec un bon rapport qualité / prix. Par contre, le parking est un peu cher.(40 FCH par nuit)

personnel compétent. hall et salons bien décorés . mais la chambre était exiguë il y avait un 3ème lit . lors d'un prochain séjour je ne choisirais cet hotel

Hotel propre et confortable. Bien situé au centre de Geneve. L'hotel donne gracieusement des tickets pour prendre le tram le temps du sejour.

Excellent accueil, personnels aimables et chaleureux, les chambres sont excellentes et très propres. Petit déjeuner excellent, très riche, comme dans les meilleurs hôtels du monde, avec un service excellent. Très bon restaurant, cuisine bonne et fraîche. J'étais ravi.

Super accueil et service. Nous y étions une nuit de grand froid et avons demandé un radiateur électrique mais visiblement nous n'étions pas les seuls et ne l'avons jamais eu...mais l'endroit est chaleureux

Je n'ai que peu d’expérience dans des hôtels de cette catégorie, mais c'était très bien. Seul bémol,(petit) j'aurais préféré une cabine de douche à la baignoire avec cette petite vitre pas très pratique. On gicle partout ! Je pourrais y revenir. Le petit déjeuner est extra.

This hotel looks like it offers top class rooms on the website but the standard room which i had was actually quite expensive and it was good but not great. You can probably do better on a standard rooms elsewhere. Gym small. Restaurant was very good, great steaks, service at the front desk also v helpful

I found the hotel accessible and presentable to esteemed government official. The surroundings seems peaceful in general and the rooms are spacious and clean. i am thinking of staying there again in my visit to geneva comes this June-July

Dinner room service was good but the breakfast service was terrible, we did not get what we ordered and had no time to rectify the position and at at a high cost, this is disappointing. Also, the car park fee was very nearly a quarter of the cost of the room for barely 12 hours parking. Loved this hotel, excellent rate, lovely room if a little on the small side but for Geneva excellent value for money. Room and bathroom were well furnished and spotlessly clean. Free wifi as well. Only slight niggle is that there was not enough tea/coffee with the kettle. Great location, very near main train station which is only 5 minute ride to […] the airport. 15 minute walt to the lake but they give you a free local transport card so you can go by tram too. A very pleasant stay at the Royal. This has been my experience every time I have stayed there. Booked a superior room and was upgraded to an executive room.

This hotel was a very definite dissapointment. From the pictures on their site which must have been taken at a different location, as the hotel looks nothing like them, to the 30 minuutes it took to get the car out of the super expensive garage this hotel was a disastrous choice. It is in a relatively nasty neighborhood, very close to the red light […] district, & has zero ambience nor style. The spa is a miniturized joke with a view of the rail road tracks - fortunately we skipped breakfast as CHF 30 for poor food & service seemed beyond the pail. The hotel Royal is conveniently located nearby the Cornavin train station. Even more so, a tram stop (Môle) lies just in front of the hotel. The hotel delivers what it promises but in an uneven manner. The most irritating was the low quality of the internet connection (it worked only after the 5th consecutive attempt and only in certain parts of the […] room). Clearer signage would be necessary in the room providing the irons (these devices, although universally known, vary greatly from one region to another in terms of functioning). The help of the cleaning personnel was very much appreciated. The breakfast was not included in the price, which was a slightly unpleasant surprise at the check-out. This should to be clearly stated, as the breakfast is not living up to its (over)price. Special praise deserves the hotel personnel that made a short business stay into a very pleasant one. I might choose the same hotel when back in town, but I will probably avoid the breakfast. Lisez la suite

The hotel was very comfortable and in a great location, less than a five minute walk (or one tram stop) from the train station. The room was comfortable -- though a bit cold. The only down side was that I arrived very early and was unable to get into my room for about 5 hours...and despite me asking 3 or 4 times for them to tell me when the room was […] ready, they did not alert me when it was. Close to train station & Co-Op. Tram no. 13 and 15 stop in front of the hotel.

We found the staff at the Le Royal to be first class. They were helpful in every way possible from taking our luggage to our room (and we had a lot), parking our cars, arranging a restaurant booking outside the hotel and general help around the hotel.

This is OK hotel at a good location. there is a tram stop right in front of it. Air conditioning has some problems otherwise OK hotel

I am taking the time to write this review because looking for a hotel in Geneva in a difficult task. Many hotels look similar online, and you cant judge by looking at it on Google Maps etc. This hotel works. Firstly, the location is fabulous. Right beside the train station (thus 15 mins to airport). The room was at the front of the hotel and was very comfortable. The foyer is very spacious and nicely furnished with several interesting flower arrangements etc.. Very friendly and helpful staff. There was a marked difference between the single room I stayed in during my first stay and the double room I stayed in more recently. The single felt opulent and very inviting while the double was very average business standard - possibly older and newer wings of the hotel ? Foyer very smart. Staff is very friendly and helpful and genuinely desiring to serve. Rooms are neatly appointed if somewhat small, but ok by most European Std. Sauna and Steam were comfortable. Breakfast is good. Realy can't believe the other 5 star reviews! I most have stayed at a different hotel! The only good news was the staff was polite, but then I was only there for one night. I was lucky...

The Royal is a great location for a stay in Geneva. It is right off the tram line and is a very comfortable hotel. The bath/shower is comfortable as well but needs a shower curtain so that water doesn't hit the floor.

Lovely hotel, near to station and within walking distance of the old town. Room was upgraded upon arrival which is always good!
