The hotel itself was great, however important info was not disclosed at the time of reservation. 1st of all we had a party of 4 (2 adults, 2 kids) and made a reservation with breakfest buffet included. On arrival, we were alloted only 2 buffet vouchers. I would have assumed everyone in our party would have been included. Also, our kids always take advantage […] of hotel pools -- however kids are not allowed in the pool/gym at this Hilton (which is the downtown YMCA that is adjacent to hotel). I did stay to work out, and then found a 8$ charge on my bill. No one mentioned a charge for working out at the gym. Poor communication lowers rating for otherwise good hotel. Lisez la suite

This hotel is very lovely. We stayed in a King Deluxe Cityview Suite that was clean, fresh, with a modern and traditional feel. From valet, check-in, room service to check-out, the entire experience was pleasant. Our only "complaint" was that for a lovely hotel and suite, the noise level was a bit high. We were on the 15th floor and could hear people […] from the ground level open area until around 1am. My assumption was a wedding reception, but it was still a bit frustrating to be able to hear. We could also hear our neighbors music and talking, which was also a little frustrating. We anticipated parking fees due to the location in Uptown Charlotte, but do keep that in mind when making your reservation. The fees seem comparable to the area and for us, valet really was worth it. There is a lot within walking distance--a very light walk to a variety of restaurants including Panera right across the street. Just a quick walk up the street to the Epicenter, which comes alive around 7pm, is worth the walk. There you'll find Jason's Deli, Cold Stone Creamery, Mortimer's Pub, Howl at the Moon, CVS, theater, and more. Not necessarily kid atmosphere, but not one that I wouldn't be afraid to take my children. Patrolled by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department officers who are visible. Overall, we highly recommend the Hilton Center City Charlotte...and the cornflake crusted french toast for breakfast! Lisez la suite

Me and my boyfriend loved the hotel and we were really pleased to find how close it was to so many things. The only thing that put a damper on the experience was the gang murder right outside. You could actually look out the window and see the yellow tape. Very scary for someone who's not from a big city. The other thing that sucked is we drove and […] parked our car in the garage, which was $18 a night. So I would recommend leaving your car or finding another place to park. We got married earlier in the day, and stayed the night of our wedding at Hilton Center City. It was a great hotel, and our room had wonderful views of the city.

Stayed on the Executive Floor with my two boys aged 12 and 10 - the service staff in the executive lounge was terrific plenty of offerings during the cocktail hour - only complaint is the the breakfast pastries were a tad stale but it was a Saturday and the floor was fairly empty.

The hotel was beautiful..... Everyone was friendly and nice. I booked my room through hotels.com, I read every detail. I understand Charlotte is a very busy city and was going to be a little pricey, But I was not happy with the out come of the stay. Upon checking in I had to give the receptionist my credit card so she can charge me an additional 50.00, […] this was for any charges that I would incur during my stay, for example, renting a movie, room service.. ect... What made me choose the Hilton was, a good location, close to family I was visiting, and the amenities that were listed in the detail of the hotel. My children were looking forward to swimming in the pool, but Saturday it closes at 4:00pm check in time isn't until 3:00pm. And closed on Sunday. WiFi is not available in every room, only certain guests. That information was not given. Along with checking in on Saturday, there was a high school prom going on. I was not informed about that either. These little things may not mean anything to this hotel but they meant alot to me. If I was given the correct details about the room I was booking I could have made other arrangements. Instead just finding out upon check in was disappointing. Lisez la suite

I RECOMMEND TO ANYONE TO SATY AT THIS HOTEL SERVICE IS GREAT AND CONVENIENTLY LOCATED CLOSE TO NIGHT LIFE AND FINE DINNING AS WELL AS SHOPPING.

First time in Charlotte, I really liked the hotel, its attached to a Y and you can get around the city on foot from the location. Its nicer when you upgrade to the executive level.

People were in our floor yelling and kicking doors at 300 am in the morning. Tried calling front desk and security, with no answer all night. That is a very dangerous risk to guest.

Most everyone we dealt with was fine except for a few members of the staff. We went so many places and everyone was super nice *except* at our hotel. We asked for assistance on a couple of things and no one seemed interested in making the effort to help us.

Everything was nearby , I had great time, but I think the fitness center should be free for the guests.

Amazing customer service. Amazing room. Amazing neighborhood. Amazing view..... Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!! We spend our 1st year wedding anniversary in Charlotte, NC and this hotel was the icing on the cake.

Attended a wedding here and stayed at Hilton Center City. Perfect location - close to Epicenter for dining and nightlife. Hotel very hospitable and concerned about meeting our needs as a large group. Will definitely stay there EVERY time I go to Charlotte in the future!

This was an excellent hotel and a pleasant stay. Convenient Location with everything you need.

The hotel is in the middle of downtown Charlotte. It is within walking distance of many locations including the EPIC center. The downside everything cost. The gym belons to the Y and the wifi is not free. 3rd street is one way so it was difficult navigate to and from thr hotel.

Lovely accommodations, helpful staff, and good bar/restaurant. However, on the second day of our four day stay, we discovered that the fabulous flat screen tv was on the fritz, the bathroom sink was backing up and the in-room coffee maker needed replacing. The hotel maintenance person who came to look at the tv said, oh, this tv hasn't been working […] for awhile ... they didn't tell you that at check in? Hello. So we moved out and into a different room, slightly smaller w/o help from bellman, etc. That prompted me to put on my negotiating hat and arrange for a complimentary bottle of wine for our troubles. Would've been nce if they had offered it, or an upgrade, but oh well. Despite these nuisances, it was a good stay and I'd recommend to others. Lisez la suite

This was my first and last stay at a Hitlon. The experience was less than I have received from a Holiday Inn/La Quinta. The beds were horribly uncomfortable, the hotel lobbies were huge, but uninteresting and not engaging. The rooms were small, the bathrooms lacked ventilation. Our keys stopped working mid stay (and yes, I know how to carry a key so […] it doesn't deactivate). This hotel claims to be near the EPIC Center and at the most the EPIC center is mediocre, not anywhere close to EPIC. Housekeepers I met were nice and out going. They were the best thing at this resort, even though they shorted us towels upon check-in. This was not a good investment and hugely dissapointing for my bachelorette weekend away before my wedding - no pool, no spa services, the bar was sad, and the vendors closed early (one actually shut his door in our faces as we were headed to purchase water from him for the room). The hotel is nothing special and the rooms are nothing better than a La Quinta, no pool, self parking is ridiculous and over-priced, the beds are HORRIBLY UNCOMFORTABLE AND SMALL, nothing great in the lobbies, the housekeeping staff was however extremely kind when we requested something. We were there for pleasure not business so the location was not […] ideal - not a lot to do in Uptown (Epic Center is no so epic: mediocre at best) - No Da is much better for pleasure. The Hotels.com reservation was for a room with a king size bed and when we arrived we were told we had to take a room with 2 double beds. The hotel did not guarantee a room with a king size bed. Also, we were assigned a room without a bath tub. After moving to the room the hotel was able to switch rooms to get one with a bath tub. However, this took […] time and effort to move again. I had reserved multiple rooms and then called the morning of to see if they could be adjoining. Receptionist said it wouldn't be a problem. Upon check in, they didn't know what I was talking about and could not accomodate us. Also, the following morning, electricity went out in the hotel. Water/lights/nothing worked. I was not impressed by this hotel. I expected more from a Hilton. There were hairs in the bathtub and the shelves in the shower were broken. The channels on the TV were fuzzy and the Weather Channel did not work at all, which is the most important channel when you are on vacation. I did not feel that the room met the standards I expect from a Hilton, […] it felt more like a Days Inn besides being over-charged for valet parking and room service. The ladies at the front desk were great, but I just don't feel that the room was up to standards, especially not for the price and the name. The location was convienient, but I would not recommend this hotel to others because I don't feel that it was as comfortable as the price would suggest. Lisez la suite

The bathroom was disgusting - with a piece of used floss on the ground, a bar of used soap in the tube, and hair everywhere. Whoever cleaned the bathroom after the last guest did a terrible job. The TV remote control sensor was defective (they did repair it when I complained but it was still annoying to have the repairman in the room for 15 minutes […] after having waited for another 15 minutes). For this hotel's category - and I was on the executive floor - these are unexpected flaws. They should have checked the equipment and the cleanliness of the bathroom before considering the room ready for the next guest. Next time I'm in Charlotte I'll try a different hotel. Lisez la suite

I was in town visiting my boyfriend for his birthday and my brother who has stayed at this particular hotel highly recommended it. I have to say, he was right. This is an excellent hotel and the price was excellent. I ordered room service and the food was great. Will definetly recommend this hotel and stay her again.

Location, location, location. This hotel is a stone's throw from the Bobcat's arena as well as the nightlife on College St and 5th Ave. It's also very conveniently located by the Panther's stadium. And of course, since it's a Hilton, you can expect all the amenities and service that comes with the name. A great choice for those wanting to visit downtown […] Charlotte. Lisez la suite

First I want to say that this is a beautiful hotel and is in a great spot in the City of Charlotte. I live here in Charlotte and I was having a Sweet 16 for my daughter and we booked 2 rooms for the overnite stay. Everything was lovely and both rooms were very clean but I do have one complaint. I dont understand why this hotel doesnt provide a free […] breakfast for the guest of the hotel. The rooms are costly but its okay because of where it is but I was going to get an extention to one of the rooms but was very dissapointed when I found out that the Continental Breakfast cost. (alot). I didnt mind paying but after paying as much for the rooms I felt like thats something they can offer. I think in my next adventure I will look for a hotel that do provide that for their guest. That was the only thing I was dissapointed about. I would recommend, but it should have been better. No refrigerators in the rooms. Toilets were loud and took a long time to refill. Wanted to make my night a little more romantic so i wanted to add some sparkling cider and 6 chocolate covered strawberries. They quoted me $70! So much for that idea. Walls are paper thin could here everything said in other rooms. Around 3am had a drunk try to get in the room. took a couple mins for them to realize it was the wrong room. Very close to everything downtown.
