"Nice and newly remodelled"
I could still smell a faint smell of paint in our room from a recent remodel. Everything seemed new. The indoor pool looked inviting, but I didn't see it until on my way out. I felt this hotel provided a really great value.Avis véridique Hotels.com
I think the hotel staff was wonderful and friendly. The renovations being done on the hotel are distracting from a good first impression. The hotel rooms and hallways and pool/spa areas were clean though. The hotel is a little outdated in it's decor and aesthetics but we had a pleasant stay. I made the reservation online and didnt realize that I left it as 1 occupant (usually this doesn't matter much?) but upon check in they saw that I was with my boyfriend, asked if he was staying and charged me $10 extra per night. I'm paying for a king suite! Why should I pay an extra fee per person unless I'm cramming in 10 people or something! Also […] the fold out bed/couch was broken, with a sign asking us not to use the bed. We also got a call about 15 mins before check out asking us if we are still planning to check out. This made us stress out that if we were even remotely late that they'd charge us. Other than that people were nice, there was a lot of construction going on but it wasn't noisy in our room. the hotel was okay it served its purpose as a cheap 1 nighter. I don't feel it was right that they charged me extra for my 2 kids because when I booked the hotel on hotels.com it specifically says 2 adults 2 kids they charged me an extra 10 bucks per kid.Avis véridique Hotels.com

My stay here was okay. I travel a lot and stay in many different levels of hotels. I believe I had higher expectations for the price. There was a remodel going on and I believe it would have been appropriate to have been notified before I made my reservation. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I feel the rooms were over priced especially since […] there was construction going on. The location of the hotel was very convenient as I was able to visit friends in Humboldt and go to the State Parks just a little north. In conclusion, I don't believe I would stay here again. "Reasonable and comfortable."
Located conveniently, easy to get to, pleasant front room staff and a good breakfast - and the price was reasonable. Not a fancy place, but not a dump - We thought it was a good price point for a weekend stay near the college and the beach. The surrpounding area were a few other budget motels, fast food restaurants and a strip mall. The access road was not the best of conditions, parked tractor trailers were lining the road making it difficult to see when entering and leaving places. They did try to present the hotel decently but there were hairs in the bath tub, some where stuck to the […] glue of the anti-slip mat on the tub floor, the closure for the tub drain did not work properly and there was no guide for TV channel selections and the TV did not operate like other standard hotel TV's. The free wireless access also did not work correctly. When trying to access standard websites errors would be displayed and I ended up using my mobile phone for a modem and chewed through a chunck of my monthly data plan. The front desk staff was pleasent. The hotel has renovations going on with caution tape in areas. My biggest frustration was being told by the head housekeeper that it was a requirement that she enter our room. We try to be eco friendly and reuse towels and didn't feel we needed the room cleaned. When I asked to just have a new garbage bag and no need […] for the room being cleaned she demanded that it be entered and cleaned. The housekeeping staff also entered our room without knocking while we were in our room relaxing. I travel quite frequently and have never had this type of experience. "Smells clean, comfy king beds, great location."
I was there 3 weeks prior to this visit, and the spa jets were broken. Again, the spa jets were broken. However, the bed is the most comfortable I have ever slept in. "horrible customer service"
I have never had such terrible customer service! They insisted they had to charge us for a rollaway bed that I was told when making the reservation that the price included it since the room was listed as sleeping 5. When I asked to talk to the manager she insisted it has nothing to do with them and hotels.com is the problem and they have no relationship […] with them, this hotel is in business to make money and it's not her problem that our stay in there left us feeling very upset and vunhappy. Staff is friendly. Any request we had was met and completed almost immediately. Hotel operators should keep these people. However, the hotel is showing its age. I was very pleased to see how clean the room was when we arrived. The price was very reasonable. The location was easy to get to. If I had to complain it would be about the breakfast room. It was a little small and crowded at times. I am allergic to gluten and there were no alternatives for me unless I wanted a hard boiled egg or a banana. My only complaint was I wish the breakfast area was larger with more tables. People had to stand to eat their breakfast, and it was very crowded just preparing your food.
