Greenview Hotel - Plage de Miami

Staff rude, rooms nothing like pictures, service is not important to this hotel. Hallway smells and the hotel just needs more attention. I will never stay here again.

The location was great.

Right off Lincoln Rd. 1 block from the beach, very basic amenities, elevator fits 2 people, bathroom small, water pressure low in shower and toilet. Continental breakfast, muffins and froot loops. Adequate place to crash for a night or two.

On the positive side, the room had new floors and the hotel is conveniently located. Service was descent. Bed was reasonably comfortable. Now the bad: Room was tiny; walls are thin and my neighbors were loud, so ineeded air plugs to sleep. I had a humongous cockroach legs up near my vanity that the maid somehow missed when cleaning. Elevator was very […] small and didnt feel particularly safe. Poor water pressure in the shower and it was difficult to set the pressure to anything warm. Lobby looks a little beat up. Not sure what else is available in such a great location, but I've stayed at comparable Motel 6's elsewhere at 30% of the cost. Lisez la suite

This hotel has everything you need if you are going to spend your time exploring South Beach. Rooms are comfortable and location is excellent to Lincoln Mall and the beach.

The Greenview is an older building and shows it: the elevator is miniscule and most people take the stairs. The counter at check-in has two huge divots out of it like someone attacked it with a hammer. The rooms are as pictured on the website, minimalist and white with blond wood, but the bathroom tiling was broken in (large-ish) places and the floor […] had not been swept - none of us have long black hair and it was all over the corners and edges of the room. On the plus side, we booked a room with two beds through hotels.com and that is exactly what we got. Pluses from a maintenance standpoint: the wifi worked well, all of the lights worked and so did the plumbing, and the closet smelled faintly of fresh paint. I get the impression that if they need painting, it gets done, but tile work, not so much. The point is (I guess), the price is cheap for south Miami Beach, the place is less than a block from the Lincoln Ave pedestrian-mall, which is sparkly fun at night when trying to choose a restaurant, and it's also less than a block from the Fillmore, if you like the kinds of concerts that book in there. On the other hand, if you can get a much nicer room for less than $30 more, you should probably do that; there is no parking so you will have that expense canceling out whatever you saved by booking here (assuming free parking at the hypothetical other place). Note: there will be homeless people camping in doorways in this area -- they seem non-threatening. Assume there will be two sets of towels in the room at check-in, ASK up front if you need more; this is not a full-service kind of place. We avoided the cereal-dispenser "free breakfast." This hotel is located perfectly if you are planning on attending the convention center, going to the beach, as well as being within walking distance to many amazing restaurants and Lincoln Ave. The condition of the hotel is more "optimistic" in the pictures than when you first walk in, however, it is clean and affords the basic amenities at a fair price […] and, as long as you aren't planning on actually spending your vacation in the hotel, you are set. This hotel is very conveniently located near Lincoln Road Mall and in very, very easy walking distance of the Miami Beach Convention Center. It appears somewhat hidden as you drive by, so it is very easy to miss. Parking is this hotel's biggest problem, as there are only three spaces on the street in front of the hotel and those are almost always full. […] The valet takes 20 minutes to respond (per the hotel staff), so there is a window of up to 20 minutes for the city to tow your car away while waiting for valet service. Whatever you do, DO NOT park in the bank parking lot next door. (again, per the hotel staff). Inside, the hotel is obviously an older building but it has been nicely modernized. Everything--right down to the faux bamboo flooring--appears to be from IKEA, but it feels much more solid than the IKEA furniture in my house. Everything in my room, including the countertops, desktop, sheets, pillows, bedside tables, etc etc were white, so it felt very modern and almost institutional; on the positive side, all the white made it very apparent that the room was actually quite clean. It may not be the case for all rooms, but my room was quite small... about the same size as an interior cabin on a cruise ship. The bathroom is very European, complete with a perfectly square and very tiny shower (at 6'1" and 300#, I barely fit in the shower and both of my arms touched opposite walls the entire time). The water pressure was minimal, so showering was somewhat unpleasant. This hotel's redeeming qualities are its location and the friendliness of its staff. Obviously, humans have good days and bad days, so there is an inherent inconsistency in the quality of service... but everyone I encountered was exceedingly pleasant. Amenities are sparse... there is free wifi (something you won't find at the Hilton or the Ritz), and it's actually quite a speedy connection. Every time I go to So Be I stay at the Greenview. It's a little worn around the edges if you know what I mean, but the location makes it worth it. It's less than 2 blocks from the start of Lincoln Rd, with fantastic shopping and food and most of all--people watching! When I was just at the Greenview, there were a couple tiny black ants (not the kind […] that bite) in the bathroom and the AC kept freezing up after running constantly for 24 hours, but if I shut it off for an hour and turned it back on it was fine. The decor is fresh and stylish and you feel like you're really on vacation and not at a generic chain hotel. Personally I use a hotel for sleeping and showering and that's what this place is fantastic for. The only thing that has changed that bummed me out since the last time I was there is the public parking lot that used to be across the street was taken out by the city, so now parking is by valet at the hotel for $20 a day. That was a shock to me because the old public lot was $5 a day. But honestly the $20 a day is comparable to what all the other lots charge around the hotel, even the remaining city lot. We visited this hotel on our stay to Miami for Memorial Day weekend. The staff was ok, they were not very friendly. They did not want to provide us with more bathing towels and the advertisement about breakfast is false. The rooms are very small, but in a great location. We complained several times about the noise of the other applicants that stayed […] on top of us. The front desk clerk charged my credit card an extra 50.00 in case the room was in bad condition when we left. We left the hotel in the same condition it was in when we checked in and my money has yet to be put back in my account. When I reserved the room, they told me that check out time would be 11am, but we got a call at 10:00 rushing us to check out, and if we did not we would be charged an extra 50.00!! I hope that the owner is reading this review because this is horrible and bad customer service. The price was expensive and after I researched there were better rooms for better prices. We've stayed at the Greenview twice, in March 2011 and May 2011. It's excellent value for money and as long as you keep that in mind, you won't be disappointed. Our room was basic but very clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small (like all art deco hotel bathrooms) but spotless. The shower wasn't very powerful but there was always lots of hot water. […] Clean towels were provided for the beach. The staff are charming, friendly and efficient - a delight! This hotel was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed, bedbugs would not have lived here! The lobby was under construction, the elevator barely fit two people, we could not take the stairs because they were under construction and full of dust and construction materials. The room looked nothing like the online picture, it was filthy. We walked into the […] room and not only was it HOT, 86 degrees, but it also smelled like MOLD! We turned the air to 75 degrees but it never cooled down. The hallway was 10 degrees cooler than our room, wish we could have slept there. The bathroom had no place to put your soap or anything for that matter. The shower had half a door and no place to put shampoo or soap other than on the tile floor, which had black mold growing in the grout. There was black hair on the wall and trash (not ours) in the garbage can when we arrived. The shades did not cover the entire window and the room was bright from the neon sign all night. The beds were uncomfortable! The television only got a few channels and it had lines rolling through so you could barely watch the channels you did get. The only nice thing I can say about this hotel, is the staff, they were all very nice. Unfortunately, they may need to be better at the other parts of their jobs, like cleaning!! The Greenview is within easy walking distance of the MB Convention Ctr, the beach, and restaurants. It is a "no frills" hotel however and was VERY noisy (street noise, outdoor concert across the street). If you know what you are in for going in, it's an okay hotel. If you need amenities, staff, protein at breakfast - stay elsewhere.

front desk friendly, valet parking was e-z .accross the street from the convention center. rooms clean, bathroom very nice glass shower doors ,fits two people. lots of hot water. beds were confertable extra mirrors in the room for dressing and views.had a great stay. would return again

A bit of a slow check-in but a great inexpensive, no-frills hotel! Fantastic location, just a block from the Filmore Theater and Lincoln Road. Clean Rooms, continental breakfast and a parking garage nearby. I'll certainly stay there again.

This hotel needs more then just a new paint job. I was there for a convention and the hotel was horrible. They are in what they call themselves "remodeling the hotel". even though I love IKEA, but IKEA is not made for hospitality usage. The AC in my room was blowing hot air and the bathroom was so small and although it was suppose to been remodeled […] it left much to desire. The bathroom door hit the toilet and you had to virtually step into the shower to close the door to use the toilet. The best thing was the new TV, but instead of a new TV I'd rather have a working AC or in fact central air. Miami beach and no air...couldn't sleep had to lay in front of AC with my face to get some form of air, which made it worse. Hotel s/ estacionamento, e servico de estacionamento conveniado cobra antecipado pelo servico. O hotel fica numa av. muito movimentada, incomodando muito na hora de dormir. Atendentes antipaticos no atendimento. Por fim o cafe da manha tem q ser tomado nas mesinhas em frente ao hotel. Enfim, um total desprazer.

Knuste fliser på bad, rust og veldig skittent. Beliggenheten var perfekt, menanbefales ikke dersom du krever litt standard.

Hotel velho mas com boa manutencao,excelente localizacao,cafe da manha bom e funcionarios cordiais. Recomendo!!!

Trata-se de um hotel com um otimo custo beneficio. Sua aparencia engana. Otimo apto, reformado, limpo, banheiro um pouco pequeno, cafe da manha continental básico, mas até com uma boa variedade. Funcionários atenciosos, e uma localização perfeita e calma.

Nao somos tao exigentes com relacao a hospedagem, mas este hotel, salvo a localizacao e os arredores, que sao bons, eh pessimo! Os servicos oferecidos sao da pior qualidade, como nunca antes experimentados. das hotel liegt gut auffindbar gegenüber eines hohen bürogebäuddes mit digitaluhr im touristenviertel von miami beach. rundherum souvenirshops. die hauptflaniermeile ist einiges entfernt. man findet also den weg auch in der nacht dank dieser turm-orientierungshilfe gut zurück. das hotel selbst ist aber doch etwas marode. die klima ist laut, das "bad" […] sehr eng, die laken waren nicht ganz sauber. den service brauchten wir nicht, die begrüssung war aber sehr kühl. alles in allem eine absteige, bei der man merkt, dass jemand ein gestaltungskonzept hatte, dieses aber mit der zeit etwas verwahrlost ist. wer einfach eine übernachtungsmöglichkeit sucht und keine hohen ansprüche hat ist hier richtig. wer gerne ein wohlfühlhotel zum kleinen preis sucht, sollte eher weitersuchen. da gibts sicher feinere, liebevoller geführte und zentralere hotels. ausserdem: keine parkmöglichkeit, man muss einen strassenparkplatz für 1,75 dollar pro stunde von 0900-0300 bezahlen oder sein auto einem nicht sehr seriös anmutenden parkplatz mit wache hinter dem hotel anvertrauen. den schlüssel muss man dem herrn anvertrauen. kosten: 25 dollar pro tag. O Hotel é bem localizado, mas o serviço é precário. No site há informação sobre manobrista, mas não tinha. Tivermos que parar a alguns metros para tirar as malas, e não tinha ninguém para ajudar. O primeiro atendente, da noite, não dava qualquer atenção, o seguinte era um pouco melhor. Meu marido e eu estávamos com 4 malas e tinha uma escada para subir, […] pequena, mas com 4 malas pesadas, depois de uma viagem de 4 horas, foi bem desagradável. Segundo o atendente, não havia outra quarto disponível que fosse atendido por elevador. O que foi desagradável é que não havia essa informação no site, nem que o hotel está em obra e está com aspecto ruim. Não tem nem mesmo um salão para o café-da-manhã. O quarto era até espaçoso, mas o banheiro muito pequeno, e o chuveiro muito fraco, muito mesmo. Por isso, não pretendo voltar a este hotel, acho que por esse preço é possível arrumar coisa melhor. Hotel muito bem localizado, com diária a um preço muito bom. Necessita de manutenção. No primeiro dia fiquei preso no quarto pois a fechadura deu problema e não abria a porta por dentro. Troquei de quarto, apesar do batente da porta estar em péssima condições, parecia que a porta havia sido arrombada, a fechadura funcionou perfeitamente. O cofre pedeu […] a senha e só pode ser aberto no dia seguinte. O banheiro é minúsculo e necessita de reformas. O café da manhã é apenas para não sair de estomago vazio. Greenview posee una ubicación perfecta para aquellos que quieran disfrutar de la playa a 2 cuadras. Me encanta la conservación externa del hotel, manteniendo el estilo Art Deco de los 40, las habitaciones están remodeladas aunque la limpieza puede mejorarse (falta de personal?). Eu e meu marido ficamos hospedados nste hotel agora, agosto de 2011, e não ficamos nada satisfeitos. O Hotel é muito velho, sujo, o ar condicionado não funciona direito, o banheiro dá medo, o atendimento é péssimo e o café da manhã é pior ainda. A única coisa que salva é a localização...mas..meus amigos..não caiam nessa...há outros hotéis bem melhores […] por perto. Hotellet ligger perfekt på Miami Beach med gå afstand til Oceans Drive, butikker, barer og stranden. Værelserne er også udmærket, dog savnede vi et lidt større badeværelse. Vi synes det var dejligt at der var køleskab på værelset. Man skal ikke forvente meget af morgenmadsbuffeten da den er lille og ensartet hver dag.

O único ponto positivo que vi nesse hotel foi a localização (quase na esquina da lincoln road com a washington avenue) e a 2 quadras da praia. O quarto e o banheiro são apertados, me colocaram num quarto com 2 camas de casal que era minusculas, mal cabiam 1 pessoa na cama (nada de queen ou king size), o colchão tbm não é nada confortável. O ar condicionado […] é de janela e extremamente barulhento. O café da manha é muito ruim, pouco espaço pra servir as poucas coisas que são oferecidas e as mesas ficam na area externa, se tiver chovendo ou você come em pé ou vai por quarto, como ocorreu no dia que estive lá. O hotel nao dispoe de estacionamento só de serviço de vallet que custa 20 dolares por dia e é muito demorado porque eles estacionam o carro bem longe. O staff é pouco solicito. The hotel is a good option for those who go to Miami to enjoy the city, and go to the hotel just to sleep. Good location, nice rooms and friendly staff. Breakfast was very simple, and sometimes we had to have it on the couch of the hall, because there are few tables available. But it's the best balance between price and location.

Fiquei no Greenview em maio de 2011. O hotel é antigo, como a maioria em South Beach. Mas foi reformado por dentro e os quartos, além de confortáveis, tem aparência nova e limpa. O hotel fica perto de tudo, quase na esquina da Lincoln Road e a 2 quadras da praia. Não possui estacionamento próprio, mas oferece um serviço de valet que pega e entrega […] o carro na porta do hotel. Este serviço é pago, mas acho difícil você conseguir algo parecido em South Beach. Todo o staff do hotel é atencioso. O café da manhã é simples, nada demais, não vá esperando um café continental. Tem torradas, cereal, café, leite e pouco mais. Hotel excelente para ir solteiro ou um casal. Não sei se é a melhor opção para crianças. Afinal, é um hotel, não um resort. Pode ir tranquilo que é a boa. Lisez la suite

Te recomiendo este hotel, por que aparte del precio, no gastas en taxis, tienes cerca restaurantes, la playa, clubes, tiendas, etc. tiene una excelente ubicacion. Recuerda que es un hotel de mucho tiempo y pues por esto, trae sus detalles, pero el trato de las sritas es muy bueno, yo diria que si eres joven, vas a divertirte y no necesitas mas que llegar […] a dormir, bañarte y vestirte, este hotel te lo da todo.
