Il s'agit en fait d'un motel. Les chambres sont équipées d'un micro onde et d'ustensiles ce qui permet éventuellement de ne pas se restaure. Ma chambre était spacieuse avec une salle de bain elle aussi spacieuse. Le tout très propre et fonctionnel. Je n'ai eu beaucoup de contact avec le personnel (l'accueil en fait). Le seul point un peu négatif c'est qu'il est un peu éloigné du centre ville. Il faut 15 à 20 minutes pour rejoindre à pieds la partie attirante de cette belle station balnéaire. C'est surtout pour cette raison que le tarif est très compétitif. Si j'en ai l'occasion, j'opterai certainement pour un hôtel du centre ville (mais je paierai plus cher). L'Aspect Central reste une valeur sûre pour qui souhaite limiter le budget.

Hotel sympa avec une jolie decoration exterieure Balinaise. Accueillant. Personnel de l'hotel tres sympathique. Chambre correcte et assez bien insonorisee. Le seul point negatif est la position de la clim qui donne sur le lit. Pas facile de dormir quand elle fonctionne. Cependant, on y a passe 2 nuits et reussit a dormir sans trop de probleme. Le restaurant de l'hotel (specialites Balinaises) est aussi tres bon et pas tres cher pour le coin. On est alle y manger les 2 soirs ou on y etait et ne l'avons pas regrette un instant malgre un budget un peu serre a la base. Sinon, l'hotel est 15-20 minutes a pied a peu pres du centre et du port de Cairns pour les excursions en mer. L'avantage est qu'on peut y acceder par l'esplanade du bord de mer qui est a 3 minutes. La ballade est sympa a faire. Au global, on a ete tres satisfait de la prestation par rapport au prix que l'on a paye.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil et les conseils d' EDDY ainsi que sa disponibilité. L' appartement était agréable, très spacieux et bien équipé, dans un environnement de verdure et proximité de la mer très agréable. Seul le ménage du 5è jour était sommaire.

BIEN SITUE AGREABLE
It is an excellent hptel near everything. The staff was very helpfull with a complete conceirge service for all excursions. Within walking distanec to many eaterys including a McDonalds.

"Conveniant location"
The hotel was in a good location with views along the esplanade. The room was clean and tidy however the bathroom needs upgrading and the air conditioner in the room was very loud even on the lowest setting. The hotel in some areas is looking tired and needs some maintenance and painting to freshen it up.

The location was great. Within walking distance to the boat terminal for transport to the Reef ,the Night Market, as well as many other shops and restaurants. The building and property is well maintained. Room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Room rate was good. Loved it! Would definitely recommend.

when we arrived we were told our room was ready by phone only to be told on arrival it wasn,t we were put in a completley different room which was full of dust and mould all over curtains i asked for our original room we had to wait again as it was given to some one else only after another hour we where upgraded. my clothes i put on the patio to dry […] were soaked in bleach from the above floor from a cleaner and had to be laundered by hotel the room was not serviced correctly nor was it vacumed in 7 days of our 9 day stay the hotel was damp musty and was smelling on more than one occasion in the hallways we had a broken chair an iron tht leaked power points that did not work i gave up on complaining as it was ruining my holiday and taking time out from my family .after the bleach incident which came poring down from the above floor i had to ask for an apology. we will not be staying there again nor recommended to anyone Lisez la suite

Nice view if u book a seaview one. 5-15 mins walk to shops n arcade. clean n comfortable, just no internet access in rm n need to go lobby for wifi n $5 per hr. Also, safe in rm is old n not digital not free of charge.

"wonderful view but poor mechanics"
Our room had a wonderful view and everything was fresh and clean. However, the A/C was so noisy that we were not able to sleep with it on. One further problem was the lack of in-room wifi. It's not ideal to have to sit in the lobby with my iPad to answer my mail - especially when there is a surcharge to use the lobby wifi.

Great view over the water and up the esplanade. So close to everything(exept main shopping center). Very helpful and friendly staff at reception. But room was a bit run down,old TV,extra charging for room safe?? Cleaners did not doing their job for 4* hotel.

We stayed here during a trip to the great barrier reef. The hotel was in a good downtown location on the esplanade and was exactly what we needed for our weekend. Staff was friendly and our room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. Would recommend staying here.

Hotel was about a 10 minute walk along the beachside to the Piers. It was a couple blocks away from the shops, which meant it was very peaceful during the night. Ocean view room is highly recommended.

This hotel was a perfect gateway for the Barrier Reef and other sites for this region. There is an airport hotel shuttle that makes the rounds of the hotels (purchase ticket just outside of airport baggage claim) This hotel overlooks the park/boardwalk that runs along the ocean and is close to all the nightlife and restaurants (2 blocks north) but […] far enough away that we were able to enjoy the balcony and not have a lot of street noise. Front Desk staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a travel advisory group in the main lobby that will assist with your bookings either on site or call ahead of your arrival and your tickets will be waiting. The restaurant was very nice with part of the seating outdoors and part indoors. The pool meanders alongside the inner courtyard and is very pretty. There is a separate area on the main floor for group functions and other facilities. Two blocks from the hotel is the start of restaurants, shops and nightlife. We were able to walk to all of the in town places we wished to visit, including the warf area where we embarked on an amazing 8 hour trip to the barrier reef. I would not hesitate to stay here again. Added bonus was the great price we locked in through Hotels.com Room and bedding were very comfy. Internet was available for a smallish fee. "Not the usual rydges standard"
Great service and location great. Had booked romantic weekend in deluxe ocean view room however was supplied with two double beds and no ocean view. Room was clean but outdated with small old television. All the sliding doors need maintenance as we could hear all neighbouring rooms opening and closing the doors which sounded like thunder each time one […] was used. Good comfortable hotel on the seafront about 100m from the centre of Cairns. Very helpful desk for booking tourist trips (rain forests, sky diving, barrier reef) with good advice. Full breakfast in the ajourning restaurant is OK but seems a little pricy. Internet available in rooms but reception does not have a free WIFI area like other hotels

I was disappointed about the TV they provided in the room. Now a days flat screen TVs are so cheap, the set provided was an old 20" CRT tv. There was no DVD player available, and even you have one you cannot connect one. They should also provide more plates and spoons in the room if you decided to have take away food.

Housekeeping on two occasions forgot to re-stock coffee etc.Once, forgot to wash coffee cups and wipe down area.The bathroom was a mess at one time as water was splashed all over sink and mirrow, we are tidy people and left bathroom cleaner than it was on our return.We had a great time and will return in the future.
Cold showers ( we were advised by management to let the water run for 20 minutes and then try again.The water has to come from the basement-still only luke warm shower) ,could hear all noises from next door bathroom . The pipes and tiolet flush very loud when you are trying to sleep-kept me awake. The room was not serviced on one occasion, we were out […] all morning and came home to catch up on sleep so it was our fault because they only cleaned rooms in afternoon.They did give us tiolet paper when requested.The room was not ready when we arrived so we had to wait. I will never stay at rydges again. They had insufficent car park spaces and wanted to charge $10 a night for unground park. They wanted to charge $3.30 a day to use in room safe. Would not accept credit card for any additional charges without charging a fee. Laundry was excessively expensive. maid service was poor, some days forgot to empty the rubbish […] bins, forgot the milk, tea and sugar replacement some days and did not make the bed properly some days. the indian housemaid was hopeless and there seemed to be no quality control on the service and when I rang to get the tea and milk replenished that the maid forgot, they still did not bother bringing it to the room. Very poor overall for a 4star hotel and rediculous extra charges. they are obviously not interested in return customers. Lisez la suite

The hotel was very nice, staff was friendly and helped us gladly in everything and the hotel room was perfect. We were completely happy with our stay and can definetely recommend the hotel to others.

The hotel rooms are FAR from what I'm used to being a 4 star hotel in the states; however, it was clean, convenient, and the entire staff was outstanding!

Great rooms all with exceptional tropical views; some better than others. Only wished I hadn't arrived during the rainy season. Staff very helpful; even helped me set up a reef tour. Can't not comment on the restaurant; was told that there would be a wait of more than an hour because they were packed. Everyone there seem to be enjoying themselves.
