the stay was horrible. The heater was so loud you couldn't hear the TV. It also did not have thermostat therefore you had to run it all night. We finally had to shut it off because it was so loud we couldn't sleep, therefore was very cold. Will not stay here again.Avis véridique Hotels.com

"used to be a great place"

"Worst stay ever!"
We used to come out to this hotel every summer for a mini vacation and had never experienced anything this awful. The hotel is in need of some serious makeovers. The rooms had been re-painted but the paint job was horrible. We stayed apparently when there was some type of boys wrestling tournament going on so there were unsupervised children everywhere. […] The pool was full of kids with no supervision as well. The hot tub was broken. Again. We had stayed there about five years ago and the same thing had happened. The pool is supposed to be heated, but clearly the heater was broken as well. The hotel staff couldn't be bothered with things like enforcing curfew. Unsupervised children were allowed to run up and down the halls banging on doors at 1:30 in the morning. The "fundome" is supposed to shut down at 12:30 yet about 1:30 there were still obnoxious drunk people yelling and carrying on at the bar and in the fundome area. We had to call the front desk to ask if they were going to enforce the curfew. It was the worst stay I have ever experienced at a hotel. We will never stay there again. "Valentines getaway"
Staff was friendly...hot tub was broke during our stay...booked the hotel at the wrong time (during a little girls basketball tournament)...room was clean and looked modern...nice sized fridge (4cube I think). good location... easy 2 find from the hIghway, near food, gas and entertainment...well lit parking lot. We were there for a family member surgery. The place was nice, clean, and the service was very good. The breakfast was amazing! Fresh omelets made to order as well as many other choices. Saturday was busy with many events and they needed more help to serve breakfast. Our room was by the pool and the noise level was high on Friday night with the bar […] being poolside. "Super Experience"

"Better than I expected"
I was visiting Kearney for a family member's graduation from UNK and got a particularly good deal on the price per night. At such a rate I was not expecting much other than a place to rest my head. With this in mind I was pleasantly surprised. This property was not the Ritz-Carlton but it certainly does not need to be. "Thanksgiving weekend."
The lights on the east side of the building were completely off at night. Then the "security" doors on the East side weren't working either when you slid your keys in to unlock them. People resorted to sliding the rug into the doorway to prop the door open. So no real "security". The room was really nice and clean once you got in.Avis véridique Hotels.com
"Great hotel close to airport"
The reason I chose this hotel was because they had free shuttle service to the Kearney airport. We were visiting family in Lexington and our flight took off at 630 am. And we didn't want someone to take us to the airport so early. We checked in about 6pm. The staff at desk was very helpful about informing us when we needed to be in lobby for shuttle. […] We also were given to free coupons for a full hot breakfast. Which didn't start until 6am, we were going to be gone by 515 so we weren't able to enjoy that BUT they did have coffee ,juice, muffins, cereal waiting for us. Which was very good. "Great hotel for a couple or family"
The hallways were darker, but the room was large basisenough for the two of us and the many christmas gifts we bought over the weekend. The room was clean and the amenities such as coffee, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion were supplied on a daily brasis. The breakfast buffett included made to order omlets, scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, […] sliced frresh frfuits, canned fruit coctail, cottage cheese yogurt, apple juice, orange juice, milk, soft drinks, coffee, cereals, oatmeal, fresh made to order GREAT!!! Upon entering the hotel, the smell of old frying grease was powerful. That remained the both days we stayed. The rooms were passably clean - faucet in bathroom tub dripped constantly, the hottub looked to be dirty and have a lot of sand in it. Other guests who chanced to get in it said it was not very warm. This hotel needs a remodel badly. Carpet looks like it is from the 1970s. Everything seemed clean, but when you walk in the room you might forget what decade you live in (except for the flat screen TV). Some of the towels were stained which made me glad I brought my own. Overall I loved our stay. Everything has been updated recently and it shows. The room looked great, came with fridge and mircrowave - free wifi and breakfast. The room was very enjoyable, there was only one downfall - the pool and hot tub, which we had planned on using a lot over the weekend, had not been cleaned in a very long time. That was incredibly […] disappointing. The water was murky and I didn't want to put my head in it and there was dirt in the bottom of both the pool and hot tub. It would be a great pool if it had a good cleaning. I'm just not sure why it isn't a bigger priority with all the other updates they have obviously been doing. "Disappointment"
I had read several negative reviews of this hotel, so I called and spoke to the hotel staff prior to booking. They assured me they had taken care of the problems I had read about. With that being said, we booked the room. Our room itself was not bad and it had plenty of space and the pool looked inviting. There was a hot breakfast buffet in the morning […] but the 3 mornings we were there, they had only 1 staff member working the restaurant so it was hard for him to keep up with the food supply and the pans were often empty and people were waiting to get food. The indoor pool area had ice cold air blowing in and the pool itself was so cold that we were not able to use it our entire stay. We went to a nearby hotel where we had other family staying and used their pool instead.The night of our stay there were several parties going on and people were yelling and running around well past midnight and we were awoken again at 3:00 a.m. from people reorganizing, stacking chairs and slamming doors. At 9:00 in the morning the pool area had tables pushed together with empty pizza boxes and beer cans all over the place that still had not been cleaned up from the prior night parties. "Not too bad..."
I stayed for 2 nights. It was decent enough for me for the price, which included breakfast. Downsides: The ad listed a free newspaper and $10 for the dog to stay. No newspaper, and the place told me they didn't know where I got the $10 listing from. (I showed them the actual ad that I printed off) I am not sure which paper I would have gotten and the […] extra $5. was not a deal breaker. So it was a good stay. When I first got there a large trash can was in the hall catching water from a leaking pipe. Someone fixed the leak that night but the trash can half full of water remained there the two nights I stayed there. This was the only bad point of the stay. Very accommodating, Good Breakfast.
