Situation

When I booked my hotel over the phone with hotels.com I told the guy many times that I needed two queen size beds as it was for my son and I and my son is a teenager and not about to share a bed with his mom. extremely poor room for the high price I had to pay very outdated like it was from the 1980s the hallway going to the room was like walking through a mine shaft I would never recommend this dump to anyone that asked there wasnt even a complimentary breakfast or even a cup of coffee i would rate this place minus 4 stars if it was possible
"wouldnt want a diff hotel"
i loved choosing this hotel. I def enjoyed my stay. the hotel staff were exceptional! They helped us with taxis, directions,movietimes,cleaning, i found ANYTHING they could do to help, they would go out of their way to fnd or find out. I was extremely impressed with this hotel and suggest it for everyone.

"Absolutely Awful"
The walls are paper thin and we could hear every breath the people next door took. There were stains all over the ratty carpet and couch. It was suppose to be a non-smoking floor but people obviously smoked on the balconies because you could smell it and see the cigarette butts. "ramada conference center"
First impression walking in was ok, the main lobby was fairly inviting and it did seem a bit outdated, overall nice view of plants and rocks. When we took the elevator that's when the smells started happening, at first it wasn't bad but when we started walking to our room the smoke got worse and worse, the stains on the hallway carpets were quite bad […] walking in and definetley made the hotel look shoddy. When we walked into our room you could tell it was a smoking room which basdically ruined our experience, I was told at the front desk there was no other rooms available at all. The television was an old tub tv, bathroom didn't look very clean. I am sorry to say this, after my experience at the ramada vs how much I paid I would say I am not going to stay there ever again. it as been a very good stay, nice hotel, good food, good service. I have need for some requests and the solution of a problem has been very quick and efficace. I would be there again in the future.From Italy (FC)

"I'd rather have a root canal than stay here again"
The hotel is run-down and in a shady area of Edmonton. The toilet leaked in our room, there was no ability to control the temperature in the room (which was close to 30 degrees), the carpets had suspect stains on them. There was barf right outside the main doors. How this was possibly rated 3 stars is beyond me. My kid's guinea pig cage would be more […] inviting to sleep in. Definitely avoid at all costs. "Not Bad But Not Great Either"
I found the room to be run down. The sheets were dirty, toilet was loud, TV remote didn't work and a screaming kid across the hall made the stay uncomfortable. "Heat"
The room was cold, the thermostat was set at 16C and couldn't be changed! There weren't any spare blankets and no phone book!

This Hotel needs maintenance. I have stayed here many times now, and the this was my last for sure. Every time I've stayed there something in my room was broken and maintenance needed to be called in. Twice the fan was noisy and something was broken in there, one time the toilet couldn't flush. The last time it was the heating that was broken. I ended […] up with a small plug in heater for the remainder of my stay. Maintenance guy only works nights, so that means he is in your room while you are there and you want peace and quite and privacy. I booked a no animal no smoking room. My carpet was covered in animal hair even after I asked for it to be vacuumed. One morning at 5 am my neighbours decided it would be funny to bang on my door and scream and then ran away. No apologies or compensation was given for any of the mentioned problems when I reported them or complained. I wasn't even offered a different room or a voucher or even an apology. Even though the staff seems really friendly and the location is convenient I will not stay here again. The restaurant is average. The gym is nice and big. Lisez la suite

Upon checking in, it was late and the gentleman that helped me was absolutely wonderful. I enjoyed talking with him and he displayed such hospitality to me, that it made the beginning of our stay very positive and relaxing. "Comfortable stay at Ramada"
Our stay was comfortable. The staff were all very friendly and accomodating. We will stay again.

The room was average. Had a little bit of odour that may be from cleaning agents. No electrical outlets in room for charging cell phones, ipods etc. Staff were pleasent and helpful.Room rates were good. Pets are welcome.

Quite disappointed in the overall run down and dirty condition of the room , in particular the bathroom. The staff were friendly and i have no concerns in that regard.

"Decent Hotel but can get a lot better"
The hotel was decent. The staff was OK in terms or helping us. The room did not have a fridge or a microwave. Both had to be ordered. The rooms were small. I would not go there again just because I know I can get a lot better for the same price in Edmonton
Good location to downtown (now on opposite end of town to Edmonton airport (municipal airport not really used anymore). Hotel needs a facelift in some areas and looks a bit tired. New lobby lounge/bar will reopen in October/November 2011 again and will help.

"Run down"
The hotel can use some remodelling. Our executive suite wasn't so executive. The air conditioner in the room wasn't enough. The hotel was very conveniently located for me, but I will not book again.

The Ramada Edmonton Conference Centre is right on Kingway next to the City Centre Airport and a shuttle bus ride away from the gates to the Edmonton Indy. The building shows its age a bit, but the staff is curteous and keeps things clean.

We stayed here in November 2010 and were satisfied with the room that we had them but this stay in June 2011 will be our last stay here. We were give a room on the North tower and as you walk the hallways the stains on the carpet are everywhere the wall are old and in much need of repair and a paint job. The room was ok but the old style tv was so outdated. […] for what we paid.it was very disappointing and will not stay here again. you can stay at nicer hotels for the same amount of money. I would NOT recommend this hotel. NOT worth the money.
Room doors are too loud, when people go in and out of their rooms I could hear the doors slam shut.

I was not happy with my stay as the air conditioning was down and I had spoken with the front desk 4 times and the maitenance person and they were suppose to bring me a fan for my room and they never did, most of all the thing that really frustrated me was I spoke to the front desk the last time and was told he is actually on his way up to your room […] with the fan and he never arrived. I was very disappointed with the service at the front desk and housekeeping. My stay was Thurs-Tues I keep my room clean so I do not require cleaning everyday. on the Sunday morningI requested cleaning as well as putting the card on the bed which said I would get clean sheets. When I returned to my room I discovered the bed didn't get clean sheets and […] the bathroom floor had not be done. I didn't say anything at this time. I made the same request the next morning again the sheets where not changed and the floor not cleaned. I went to the front desk and requested the bed be changed and floor cleaned. When I arrived back, bed changed floor not cleaned. I was not given any compensation or apology for this service or lack of. As my extended stay was under different reservations I was required to check out of my room and re check in for the next reservation. I didn't change rooms just something they needed to do??? I have stayed here before to attend conferences, very convenient. This time I was in the smoking block, dirty and not as well kept as the main building.

The staff at the hotel were excellent. However, the so called non smoking room - and there were signs posted in the room that it was non smoking - had obviously been smoked in - the carpet had cigarette burns in it and the sofa was really old - I didn't want to sit on it. "rooms need updating"
The hotel service was great, location was great even the view was great. The rooms were terrible. The carpets were filfthy. It was a smoking room at one time. We counted 36 burn holes in the carpet. the room smelt like smoke and the stains were aweful in the carpet. I put my shoes on after i realized how dirty my socks became from the floor..

I was disappointed in the hotel. I wonder about the 3-star rating. The room I was in was non-smoking, but that clearly was not always the case. The carpet was old and stained, with a number of cigarette burns. The room itself could have use a coat of paint.

The room was dirty. The bedding and tub were the only things that were clean. The first nights stay found a group of drunk men fighting and threatening to kill each other in the hallway- all night long. Even after multiple complaints the management did not remove the people. I found the front desk staff was mostly rude or unhelpful. You get a "free' […] breakfast but it consists of cold eggs, deep fried meat and potatoes. Free breakfast, free room upgrade, and comfortable stay at a very reasonable price. We will definitely return!
