L hôtel a une situation idéale, proche de tous commerces, resto et métro. Situé juste en face de Madison square garden. Seul bémol c est l entretient général de cet hôtel , il aurait besoin d' un bon raffrechissement dans les couloirs et chambres!!!!! Après plus de 10 heures de voyage, une file d'attente qui fait tout le hall de l'hôtel, 1 heure plus tard enfin dans la chambre. La population de l'hôtel étant plutôt jeune et fêtarde plusieurs réveils pendant le séjour. A noter qu'il n'y a pas de toilettes disponibles pour les clients qui ont déjà fait le check-out, le message du gentil monsieur de […] l'accueil était clair "No room, no restroom" . Idéalement placé dans NYC pour une découverte de la ville, il reste décevant lorsque l'on paye une chambre 'bas de gamme', on se croirait dans un motel, ce que la classe du hall d'accueil ne laisse absolument pas deviner. Je n'ai pas essayer les chambres 'chères', mais pour les petits prix, à réserver à ceux qui n'ont pas peur de la saleté :)

situation parfaite près de Times Square avec une station de métro au coin de la rue, mais qualité du service de nettoyage très variable (salle de bain de notre 1ere chambre très sale, nous avons demandé à changer de chambre à l'arrivée, sans que la réceptionniste n'en soit étonnée) et accueil très moyen.

Le hall de l'hotel est impressionnant mais le reste beaucoup moins. Très honnêtement, cet hôtel est bien situé (proximité des Times Square, proche de la gare et des liaisons avec les aéroports new-yorkais) mais son état général laisse à désirer. Maintenant il ne fait s'attrendre à mieux vu les tarifs qui y sont pratiqués.

Idéalement situé devant Madison Square Garden et Penn Station. Prix abordable. Grand lit, télévision. Vue sur l'empire state building mais malheureusement les fenêtres sont très sales. Salle de bains petite et vieillotte.

c'est la 2 eme fois que je sejourne au pennsylvania hotel ... assez vieux , c'est une veritable usine tant il est immense mais sa situation geographique et son prix en font un EXCELLENT choix ! a recommander ++++

Chambres vraiment basiques et vétustes pour la plupart mais acceptables pour les routards ou les familles qui veulent se trouver un lieu sûr, proche de toutes les infrastructures, bien centré, sans poser d'exigences au niveau de la beauté et de l'esthétique des chambres

hôtel idéalement placé dans midtown à prix assez abordable pour New-York (surtout avec la réduction de réservation par Internet). La chambre avec son lit 'king-size' est pus que convenable et contient toutes les commodités auxquelles un touriste peut avoir besoin. Le continental breakfast est varié et très bon. L'accès à 2 ordinateurs avec connexion […] internet permet de rester connecter aisément et gratuitement avec ses amis restés en France. Toutefois, l'amabilité du personnel d'étage laisse parfois à désirer et le gros point noir est la durée du check-in : il nous a fallut plus d'1heure (voir 1h30) pour obtenir la clé de notre chambre et ceci après une journée de voyage et une attente interminable à l'immigration. Le personnel était bête, la chambre n'était pas très belle et elle n'était pas du tout insonorisé. Les klaxons constants pouvaient se faire entendre toute la nuit! Par contre, il est situé juste en face du Madison Square Garden et à distance de marche de tous les points d'attraits de Manhattan. Ce n'est certainement pas l'hotel offrant le plus granb luxe mais géographiquement parlant c'est vraiment super... Bouche de Métro juste en face de l'hotel, time square à une dixaine de minutes à pieds, très abordable... sérieusement très bon hotel pour les séjours courte-durée.

Excellente qualité prix , près de toutes commodités, chambres sales, manque de Peinture sur les murs besoin d'une couche de peinture ensuite tout sera parfait.

internet devrait êre accessible dans les chambres.

L'hotel est bien situé au pied de la station de métro Penne Station. Par contre l'hotel est très vétuste et en mauvais état.

It is an old building and it shows age. I have been in better places and worest places. it is jusy ok for the price.

The hotel was right in the prime location to get to everything in Mid-town Manhattan. It is an older building and you there are some parts of it that are in a bit of disrepair. The hallways smelled like urine and cigarette smoke, but the room itself was fine. Internet in room appears in almost all hotels, but this hotel. Paid or free internet services will be good for the guests.

The lobby is beautiful. The location is awesome. The rest of the hotel is no good and the service is miserable. You get what you pay for. Dirty rooms and pretty much everything there is broken.

Close to transportation and sites

By Far this was the WORST hotel I have ever stayed at. The rooms were disgusting. Make sure you take a shower late at night. No Hot water in the morning. The front desk staff (that is the only staff I saw at this hotel) was very rude. 1 hr to check in. 30 - 40 people in line & only 2 checking in. the others just stood and watched.

We booked a night at the hotel almost totally due to its location opposite Penn Station, arriving after 7pm in the evening and departing before 8am the next day. The only positive statement we can make about the room is that the bed was comfortable. Apart from that it was delapidated: flaky paintwork, dodgy electrical fittings, leaky plumbing, threadbare […] carpet and curtains that had to be held closed with a hair clip. It was not cheap either. We accept that the location will command premium prices but believe that, if you charge them, suitable emphasis needs to be placed on the quality of the service offered. The hotel is very outdated, dak & dreary, needs a 100% modernization!! location can not be beat!

This hotel is in a great location and is value for money. The service is probably average at best with long delays in checking in and checking out. Access to wifi was not good, after purchasing 24 hours was not able to reconnect after the first initial use.The location and convenience of the hotel out weighs some of the negatives.

I was not satisfied at all with Hotel Pennslyvania. I had heard so much about it and when I arrived I was preety impressed with the lobby it was very modern. But when you take the elevator its like taking a time machine and going back to the 1920's or 30's. The old classic look is not impressive at all. The paint was chipping from the walls, the bathroom […] were old and dingy and not clean and to make matters worse when my wife and I arrived we got there on Saturday mornig around 9:00am and there was a gentleman there at the front desk who when I asked if there were any rooms available he told me rather rudely that check in was at 3:00pm and pointed to a sign on the wall. Then I asked if there was a place where I could leave my luggage and he said "$4.00" we gave him $4.00 and I was going to give him the luggage when he pointed to the elevator and said over there go over there. Before I coould give him a piece of my mind my wife took me by one arm and we went to the elevators where a young man who was standing there by the hotel told us to take the elevator downstairs and follow the sign to the luggage room. Last but not least toast and bagels is not a continental breakfast. I stayed in smaller hotels in Florida where I get scrambled eggs, bacon, cereal, etc for acontinental breakfast. What a gyp!!! I ended up not staying when I waited in line for 40 minutes and went to my room which was not made up. I went back to the front desk and the line was even longer. I called American express and went to another hotel. I would never recommend this hotel.

Hotel is old and it shows, but my room was very clean, comfortable, and everything worked. Can't beat the location if you are traveling in/out of NYC by train. Had a bit of wait at check-in and to speak to someone about a problem with the wi-fi in my room, but staff were efficient and professional and resolved the problem immediately.

OMG. If you are attracted by the price... Do not go. To resume: dirty towels, moldy floors, shower curtains and walls, dead bugs hanging freely for the vanity fixture..... gluey phone with brown stains... old cups from previous guests.... you are so worried that you don't want to walk on the carpet. ETC.

This had to have been the worst hotel I ever stayed. The rooms were small and you going even more around it in. My first room was the dirtiest room ever. The toilet had a black ring around the inside of the toilet bowl and the toilet seats looked like it hadn't been replaced since the hotel was built. They did finally switch rooms for me and the second […] one was better but it was not without a big discussion as to why I wanted a different room and not just the toilet cleaned. Lisez la suite

I'm okay with affordable travel, but this place could use a little love. The walls were scuffed, dirty and cracking. It's just a little tired and ready for a remodel.

I've stayed at this hotel before, years ago, right after a renovation and it was great. Unfortunately the Owners are not updating anything at this time. I hear it could be demolished, please support historic preservation! Do not let this historic site go by the wayside. This is an awesome building and deserves to live! The hotel is very nice and the location could not be better. The room is in need of an upgrade. The bathroom had lots of mold and mildew because there is no fan or ventilation in the room. The temperature control is only for heat and even though its not even summer yet, the room was really hot and humid. I will continue to stay at this hotel mostly […] because its super convenient to Penn Station....I can't imagine how it will be in the summer months though. Lisez la suite

The room we got was a smoking room when we specified non. We couldn't even breathe properly. The front desk have us another non smoking room which was better with air quality but the room was like a hostel. Location was very good but again you could probably find better hotels along time square

While the Hotel Pennsylvania is in a great location, there isn't much else good to say about it. Located centrally across from MSG and Penn Station, it is a very old hotel in various states of disrepair. While small rooms in Manhattan are the norm, this was abnormally small and looked like it hadn't been updated or cleaned since the 1960's. The only plus this hotel has is location. Across the street from Penn Station. I have a non-smoking room with cigaret burn on the carpet. The bed is rock hard. Climate control does not work and window does not open. Do not pay for a room with Breakfast. For your money you are money ahead going somewhere else. This morning breakfast consisted of Bagel, […] choice of two small muffins, Apple and coffee. All this being severed out a room no bigger that 12x12. Also, once they run out it seems it is gone, so go early if you pay for this in the room rate. I was warned before booking, but chose to book anyways... Next time, location is not everything. I was generally pleased. the hotel is old and needs work, but the room was fine and kept clean. The staff was also very helpful. Lack of convenient internet asset was a bit of a problem but that was less important on this occasion than it might be on others.

The lobby and halllways are well done. But the room had large sections of plaster missing on the walls, every wall in the room looked unclean . No wi-fi option in the rooms either. Cannot recommend this hotel.

overall not bad though hotel perhaps too large for good service. convenient location though
