Great bed and a good night's sleep. Good location for us. Hotels need to consider cleaning their carpets more frequently, and this one is no different including the hallway. A number of good restaurants in the area as well as shopping.

The hotel was ok for the price. Upgrading the staff would go along way in improving the quality, as they were very rude when asked a simple polite question.

The thing that I really liked about the hotel was that they were pet friendly. But the only down side to this is that when book this hotel thru hotels.com is that it says they are pet friendly but it doesn't tell u that there is a charge for the pets so upon checkin in you will see a sign a sign for the fees. If you make the hotel aware of your pet […] by informing them with the $15 charge upon arrival that's great but if you don't happen to see that sign then you are charged a fee of $100 and I don't think that is fair or ok. That type of information should be made readily available on all websites that the hotel is booked through. Lisez la suite

Shady people in hotel and surrounding area. My car broke into. Will never return.

Stayed one night when visiting family nearby. Like other Super 8 motels - nothing too fancy, but clean and comfortable. Only wished they had cream cheese to go with the bagels in the morning.

It was my first time staying a at Super 8 Hotel and I was very satified with my stay and look forward to staying at Super 8 again and I would recommend to Super 8.

Given the price of other lodging in the area, this was a good value. Everything was adequate but not fancy. The continental breakfast was pretty minimal, but enough to call it a meal.

We stayed here 3 nights and the motel was older was about what you would expect for the price (which was very reasonable) By the 3rd night our key card had worn out which was a bit of a nuisance waiting for a replacement. There were at least 2 other families that had the same problem. On night #2, the smell of marijuana permeated the hallway outside […] our room. The room was rather small, but clean. The staff at the desk was more than accomodating on the night we checked in. We requested a room change to the ground floor since there was no elevator and my husband was having knee trouble. The manager worked hard to accomodate our needs. Overall, I was satisfied with our accomodations. Lisez la suite

Scratchy sheets kept me up all night. Side door to building didn't lock - not safe!. Ran my card for incidentals. Checked out in the am to discover a charge for $1,64 for a room safe that I was not notified would be in the room let alone be charged for it. VERY tacky. Will not go back even though it's very convenient.

My room was quite smelly. I think it was from the air conditioner. The humidity was high as my bed was not very dry. And the bathtub drainage was loose and rusted. I would recommend that the building is to be torn down and get a brand new one. :)

they were renovating hotel with new carpet when I was there, The front desk was very nice and good about sugesting places to go and see

The motel was clean with the exception of some of the carpet. While the room was quite small it was very comfortable, and the bed was much more comfortable than ours at home.

the staff was very helpful with directions and the like i would want them to be the staff at any hotel i was at HOWEVER ... the hotel itself had an "old odor" to it ... if you are looking for a cheap stay this is it .. if you are looking for anything resembling quaility it is not.

I booked this hotel strictly for the location: 2 minutes away from the train station and less than 30 to Newburgh airport. We arrived very late and I called the front desk from the room to request 2 more pillows (they were as flat as a newspaper.) It was 12:30 in the morning and the girl's response was, "Not right now, I'm about to leave but I will […] tell the next person coming in." I waited 20 minutes and didn't hear anything, so I sent my fiance down to get the pillows himself. They had no idea we were waiting on pillows and gave him attitude for being such an inconvenience. The next morning, I went down for breakfast and there was almost nothing left, even though the breakfast was not over yet. I politely asked the lady at the front desk if that was all they had left and she said there were more bagels and she "guessed she could go get them." I told her thank you, and she proceeded to tell me breakfast was over in 15 minutes anyway and "it is what it is." I have never been more appalled by the rudeness of staff at any hotel I have stayed at. My expectations aren't even that high, as I never book high-end hotels. Not to mention, there was leftover hair in the bathroom and the area behind the dresser the TV was on was filthy and had a roach trap among all the dirt. I would not stay here again. Lisez la suite

As nice as can be the personel, the hotel was not under fine conditions in my view. It was smelling closed areas and humidity in the lobby as well as in my room. The shower plumbing was almost falliong apart. The attendance directed me to a noisy room due to ventilation outside. Cheap, yes, but not satisfied at all.

I was in town for a friends wedding, and this was intended to be just a place to sleep. It was actually a little better than expected. It did exactly what I needed it to and met my expectations which made it a successful visit.

The hotel was clean and well appointed for its class. It's not a 4 star hotel on any scale. The bed was comfortable. The continental breakfast was adequate. The only downside was the size of the bathroom. The sink was outside, but the bathroom itself was, for me, the size of a handicapped stall. If one is claustrophobic, maybe think of staying elsewhere. […] As stated by a previous reviewer, the hotel is probably not good for a long term stay. One to two nights is fine. It was convenient and friendly staff. Besides the coffee machine that was broken everything was within ine's expectations.

Despite heroic efforts by some staff members to keep the place clean, this facility can only be described as decrepit. Mold, mildew and dirt decorate the common areas. Non-smoking room was smelly and run-down with cigarette burns in the bedspread and on the carpet. Most guests looked like they would have been better placed in a halfway house.

We only stayed one night and it wasn't awful, but also wasn't the Hampton Inn or Hilton either. The woman at the front desk had a cold personality, not friendly but not brutally miserable. The room was dated but clean and the bathroom was tiny. The gentleman at the front desk during check out was in no hurry to wait on customers and clearly would've […] rather been anywhere but where he was. If you need a bed and bathroom for a night while passing through town, this will certainly work. If you're looking for a warm, cozy room with new furnishings and friendly staff....keep looking. the room was smelly ... the front desk coworkers were very rude.. they called us at 2 am because they put us in a wrong room and the lady at front desk did not even apologize...

Mattress wonderful. Room clean, except carpet needs shampooing...Could not get TV to work 2 of the 3 lamps in the room did not turn on--maybe needed a new bulb.

The person working at the front desk was unfriendly upon arrival. The room was not exactly dirty but the hotel is definetely in need of renovations and the bathroom could have been cleaned better. The worst part was trying to sleep. There were people on the floor above yelling and running around the entire night. I also awoke to a group of people outside […] of my hotel window having a loud argument around 230 am. No one tried to take care of the disturbances and just allowed the rude guests to carry on all night.The only reason for the stay was because my mom was having surgery the next morning and this was close to the hospital. AC/heater unit was held up with floor tiles to keep the cover from falling on the floor. Overall, not the cleanest place I've ever stayed at. Won't be staying at this hotel again.

It was very reasonable. The room and hotel in general was very clean. The location was excellent.I have no problem staying there again.The staff was very nice and helpful.

This place is ok just to stay the night but i wouldn't stay more than that. The hallways have an awful musty smell. I brought my own linens which i think were a good idea. I didn't know if I should trust the cleanliness of the coffee maker, however I did decide to try it. Unfortunately it didn't work. I need my coffee in the morning so I went down to […] the contential breakfast and had the worst coffee ever. Another thing that was a bit of an inconvience was we arrived late and after a long day of driving i wanted to watch a little tv but it was unplugged. The hotel was on the dumpy side, but you get what you pay for! The room had a bad odor of mildew from the wall a/c unit. The carpet was coming up from the floor, old and dirty. The public areas had an unpleasant odor too. On a positive note, the bed linens and the bathroom were very clean. The hotel itself was very quiet. Would not be likely to stay […] there again. When I checked into room there were nail clippings on floor, (not mine). I Killed two roaches over the weekend. They did not clean room at all first two days, when I complained they said one was a Holiday, (thanksgiving) so no housekeeping and the second day they claimed I had do not disturb sign up, I of course didn't at all ever. After my complaints […] the 3rd morning they cleaned bathroom gave new linens but did not restock coffee or cups. They did put a tip envelope out though. Which I of course left empty. Lisez la suite

room was fine, coveiniant location, but only 10 TV chanels... are they serious?

DO NOT USE THIS MOTEL ! I could overlook the dirty hallways and the musty/smokey/smelling rooms but the area has a high crime-rate. I found out only after our car got smashed into and several items stolen that this is a regular occurance at this motel.
