Considering rate and proximity to the highway we were travelling on, this hotel is definitely NOT a bad choice. Reception staff most friendly and accommodating. Breakfast choices also quite acceptable. Lucky for us though we came at a low frequency time. Can well imagine that the modest space in the converted bed-room may be crammed at times. It's a fair value for a fair price. The room was clean enough but the carpet seemed a little icky. Lights, TV, fridge, bathroom works well enough. Great water pressure in the shower. Plenty of mid-grade towels. Thin walls, could hear group coming in at 4 a.m. I was not there for breakfast, never had a chance to try it. Easy freeway access.

Stayed here two nights while working at an Antique Show. Room was great. Hallway smelled clean, but no evidence of phony scents or coverup. The staff was very courteous and efficient and they didn't just sit at the desk but took care of any problems that were present. The breakfast was great, and a step above what I have come to expect from motel breakfasts. […] There were small cheese omelets, complete with a dish of salsa and a bottle of hot sauce handy, with bacon as well as hard boiled eggs, muffins, bagels, toast, cereal, fresh fruit and orange juice. We only stayed one night - got there late and left after breakfast.Breakfast was better than continental, but pretty limited -just two hot cooked items -rest cold -but sufficient. Location was great for travelers -right off the freeway and right next to several restaurants. It was a little noisy being on a main street. We stayed one night just to be able to explore the surrounding area, breakfast was served as promised and it was actually good! The room was clean, quiet, and well stocked. I'd stay at this hotel again!!

we arrived at midnight, on our way to Tahoe. we didn't expect much and it was a great surprise! clean, comfortable, good breakfast. we will definately stay there again in our next trips.

BEDS WORN OUT AND GIVE YOU A BACK ACHE. OLD AND VERY NOISY HEATER/AIR. VERY OLD MOTEL, NEEDS REMODEL.

Very friendly staff, but we got in at midnight, too late to really feel the need to satisfy some of the problems with our room. The heater did not work on Low and there was no Thermostat. Low just blew cold air. We had to put it on High to get any heat to come out and then wakeup and turn it off as we got to hot in the middle of the night. Our room […] had a view of the freeway, which also made it loud while trying to get to sleep. If you stay here, ask for a room in the back of the hotel, they have 2 sections that are away from the freeway. My bed seemed dirty, the other bed was fine. This is not a five star hotel, but unbelievably good for the money. Very clean and nice looking. Only problem is very noisy. Especially those rooms facing the freeway 80, constantly very noisy cars and motor cycles are passing all day and night. Also the heater/AC is too noisy to use at night.

At 4:44am the garbage truck picking up garbage from somewhere close by woke me up. Not the motel's fault.

Clean room, comfortable bed, surprisingly quiet being adjacent to Interstate 80, GREAT breakfast, reasonable room rate....

MY FAMILY AND I WERE VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS HOTEL, WE STAYED FOR A WEEK AND IT WAS SO PEACEFUL AND QUIET. THE STAFF WERE VERY ACCOMODATING, IT WAS SO QUIET I DIDN'T WANT TO GO BACK TO SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. THIS BY FAR WAS ONE OF THE QUIETEST HOTELS I HAVE STAYED IN.

Newly renovated room with fridge, microwave, and all the fixin's. Full breakfast (eggs, bacon, waffles), friendly service, good location (just off the freeway, but quiet). I'll stay again!

Auburn was my home for many years. This is an older motel completely remodeled. It has some covered parking under the main building. Easy freeway access, shopping and restaurants nearby and very reasonable rates. I will stay here again on my next visit.

Given wrong key for room. Had someone walk in on my wife when she was dressing. (wrong key issued to another customer.} Desk just brushed it off, no big deal.The hotel was very clean and we'd stay again.

The Quality Inn Auburn suited me perfectly for one night. Spent two gorgeous days on the river, just a short drive away. Enjoyed the ample breakfast offered up in the breakfast room-not in the lobby like some hotels.The gentleman running the front desk over the weekend was extremely polite and hospitable. Well equipped - even a safe, an iron and ironing board, a refrigerator and microwave in a reasonably priced hotel. Located by Ikeda, a great old time fruit and veggie market (plus nuts, baked goods, hamburgers, etc.) Mattress felt a little worn but OK. Service and breakfast were good. Would recommend and will stay there again.

This is a very convenient hotel, there is easy access to the freeway. Even though it does not have a restaurant associated with it, there are four very nice restaurants right next to it. The room was clean and well kept. I would recomment this hotel but be cautious when eating the complimentary breakfast. We had was some food poisoning. Each one of us that ate the hard boiled eggs got sick.

We booked at room at this hotel as a stopping point on the way to Lake Tahoe for a ski day - Tahoe itself is very expensive, particularly on a holiday weekend. Good location, close to the US80 on the way to North Tahoe (1 h from Truckee). Very clean, staff very friendly and good breakfast.

Check in was easy. Location was convenient to the highway. Room was very clean. Breakfast area was small, but it had most everything needed for a quick breakfast. I recommend stopping here sometime.

This hotel was fine just to rest overnite, but was far from the downtown area, The room was comfortable and the breakfast was quite nice with enough variety to please most travelers.

Nice quiet hotel even though close to IH-80. Location made it easy to access the interstate. Convenient to most everything including the fairgrounds and Foresthill/Robinson Flat for the Tevis Cup ride that wife was riding. Overall, we were quite satisfied. Would stay here again.

The hotel rooms were pretty standard and were decently clean. Beyond that, the place was a disaster. The beds are rock hard and springy to the point that even the person in our party that prefers very hard beds didnt sleep well. There were no air conditioners in any of the hallways resulting in a walk through stale hot air any time you walked to and […] from your room. All of the air conditioning units are incredibly noisy and many barely work. In our first room, the air conditioner started making a very loud crackling sound at about 2:45 AM and not working at all. I went down to the desk and all of the doors to the office were locked. I then called the office and the clerk was completely asleep and told me I have to wait until morning. After explaining that this was unacceptable, we got him to come up and check out the problem. We were then given a second room. The AC in that room also barely worked but was at least quiet enough to sleep. In summary, clean room with poor comfort, poorly maintained and unhelpful staff. Lisez la suite

The room and bathroom were clean. Comfortable beds. Excellent breakfast - loaded up fully before heading to hills. Good location - tons of restaurants around and it's next to freeway. However, room was a bit noisy from the freeway traffic - especially when a heavy vehicle goes by. Downstairs room was noisy from the people upstairs walking. The exterior of this hotel is not very inviting, but our room was excellent - spacious, clean with very comfortable beds. The A/C was very quiet and controlled the temp perfectly. Their continental breakfast was surprisingly good. A pleasant one night stay.
