I usually stay at the Hilton garden inn just one exit away when I visit my sister, but will stay here from now on. It had a much better price and my room was nicer than the Hilton.

Room was clean and staff was friendly. I stayed for a week on business and really enjoyed the stay

My wife & 2 of our kids recently visited the hotel with great expectations due to the 92% recommend from Hotels.com members. Unfortunately our stay was not as great as we had hoped.(Not even close)... when we arrived & checked in we were given a room on the third floor that looked like it would be fine. it appeared clean, had a couple nice amenities(mini-fridge, […] single cup coffee maker & a microwave as well as a flat screen tv) and i thought we were off to a good start. When i went to adjust the temp setting on the wall/floor unit & look out the windows directly above the ac/heat unit i was amazed & troubled that the window looked like it would open/slide & it did.... As i felt the nice breeze i realized my little 2 1/2 yr old boy could easily climb on top of the unit & have access to the window 3 stories up. I got a bad, bad feeling about his safety & called the front desk to change rooms to the ground floor. The staff was great! The young gentleman behind the front desk was extremely apologetic & moved us to a first floor room. After unpacking we now repacked & moved down. When we got to our new room the door would not lock properly & the flat screen tv did not want to work so it was back to the front desk for help. The young man that had moved us had gone but a young lady was there to assist us. we got the tv working(remote was broken) but i eventually got a screw driver from our car to try & tighten the room door fittings. It helped a bit but the door looked like it had been forced open at some time & never secured. It was 2 hours into our arrival & with me being partially disabled, coming off a 6+hour drive & kids in tow, i was out of energy,frustrated & tired so we accepted the room faults & tried to begin to enjoy our 3 day, Chicago area visit. Although i was not thrilled by our room, i was thrilled with the staffs attempts to make things right. That is the only reason i even stated i would probably recommend the hotel. This hotel has all the amenities you would want. It was a relief not to worry about where to eat breakfast every morning, because it was in the hotel lobby waiting on you. The room was dirty when we arrived; sticky stuff spilled on the desk, trash still in the garbage cans. Continental breakfast was wonderful! Great variety of foods to choose from. Fresh cookies on the counter in the lobby each night. Free newspaper at your door every morning. This hotel is in a great location, the rooms are clean and nice. Although I do think the rooms could use some redecorating with NEW furniture and fixings its kinda ( old fashion). But overall the hotel was nice including the hot breakfast they serve every morning from 6am to 10am!!

We have always been satisfied with the service our corporate travelers receive. Not much time spent at the hotel, they are in training their entire stay.

The staff was very friendly upon arrival and throughout my stay. Room was very nice, clean and new. I was allowed (actually encouraged) to bring a few family members to visit me while I was in town and we all hung out at the pool and the kids got a fun mid-winter treat by being able to swim. bed was comfortable. I did not eat the breakfast in the morning […] so I have no comment about that. Overall a fantastic hotel and I would definitely stay again next time. Lisez la suite

The service at this hotel was excellent. The staff was very attentive and responded immediately to all needs. The room was clean and in good condition except for part of the wallpaper peeling. There was a microwave and refrigerator already in the room (did not need to make a request). However, there was no "Do Not Disturb" sign in the room. There was […] no complimentary newspaper. There was no way to order a movie on the TV. The information channel said to pres Menu, but that just brought up an operational menu for the TV. Also, TV service in the entire building went out at about 11:30pm and was back on the next morning. The complimentary continental breakfast was much better than expected. The hot tub was substandard. Only two or three of the jets were working, and this is an 8-person unit. Despite the shortcomings, I would recommend this hote and use it in the future. With just a little fine tuning, it could be a truly great hotel. They're almost there. Lisez la suite

Found the hot water distribution from shower to be inconsistent at certain times, but not always. Temperature would fluctuate between too hot and tepid. A minor inconvenience to an otherwise good experience. However, if I returned and found the same problem again, I'd probably start looking for another place to stay. Room 201.

Clean, Quiet and the staff was very professional and pleasant. It snowed while I was there and found the car rental company did not provide me with a snow brush. The desk clerk was kind enough to lend me his personal brush so I could clean off the car and get moving with with day. Now I say that is above the service I expected.

We were mostly pleased with our stay. The rooms were comfortable and well appointed. When compared with "equal" hotels (ie. Holiday Inn, AmericInn, etc.) it was probably a step above. However, there were two issues, and I am not sure if they were temporary or if they are always an issue. First of all, there was no hot water in our room in the morning. […] The most I was able to get was about a minute of lukewarm water in the shower before it turned freezing cold, and my husband managed about 90 seconds. So we arrived at our morning destination having only spongebathed with cold water from the sink. When I informed the front desk about this at check out, I got a barely grunted "sorry." I was hoping for a discount voucher or at least a promise that they'd look into it, but I'm pretty sure the front desk girl forgot all about it the moment we were gone. The second, and more minor, is that the continental breakfast was incredibly poorly managed. Breakfast runs until 10am. I went down to the breakfast area at 9am, and got in a line of no less than a dozen people all waiting for one lone waffle machine. After 30 minutes I (and many other people who arrived in the meantime) gave up, and ate some toast, but the way the breakfast area was arranged, it meant cutting in and out around the line of others waiting for hot meals. They need to either invest in more appliances for hot food, or at least rearrange the breakfast area so that everyone is not building up in one spot and blocking the entire counter. That said, it was quite a nice hotel. Hopefully the water issue was specific to that day or that room, and not an issue of not having sufficient hot water heaters to handle a large number of guests showering at once (a basic for any hotel). I would stay there again, but would be on guard. And bring dry shampoo! Lisez la suite

6-year-old grandson loved the holiday decorations and breakfast. Close to retail stores and some restaurants. Reasonably close to a great mall.

The hotel staff was friendly. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hot breakfast was a pleasant surprise. The hotel was close to the interstate. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Wingate and would be happy to stay there in the future.

A very nice hotel with a friendly staff. Clean lobby and breakfast area. The only thing is that they have been remodeling the hotel for about a year now as we have stayed here previously. You'd think they'd be working faster to finish their renovations. The rooms are large and spacious with the amenities you'd expect for this sort of hotel. Our room […] was clean, the bathroom was clean and not missing any of the expected toiletry items. Breakfast at the Wyngate is very good with a nice selection and very good coffee. The hotel room was fine for my purposes. (Needed a place to crash for a night) I think it could have been cheaper, especially considering that the place looked underbooked. The exercise room was much better than I expected (treadmill, bike, situps, etc. no free weights), nice big flat screen tv. The pool looked inviting, but I didn't have time to check […] that out. I found, in whole, that Tinley Park is an extremely overpriced area. The hotel was very comfortable, but be prepared to spend $20-40 more than you usually would.

For being a beautiful hotel and the price I paid; The hotel tempature was very stuffy and sticky. it also smelled of chlorine throughout the entire hotel- even the 3rd floor.

No complaints. Right off the highway, pleasant front desk staff, very roomy and clean room, didn't expect the fridge and microwave- was a nice bonus, free wi-fi. Bathroom was a little small and the hallways reeked of cigarette smoke, but other than that it was a very standard hotel stay. No complaints, no wow's.

A/c would not run consistently, fan shut off spradically , made room bit stuffy. Would have complained but was too late at nite to consider moving rooms, and was checking out early a.m. Beds & linens comfortable and room was clean & quiet.

We picked this hotel as a "last minute deal" as we were passing through the area. We have 3 kids and the youngest is 1 years old and every hotel we have been to in the past only once I have heard that you have to specifically request for a crib when booking. I have never requested a crib while booking and there has always been one available. When we […] arrived in this hotel and I went to ask for a crib (which I did not know I had to reserve) I was told by the person at the front desk that there is a new shift starting in a couple of minutes and that I should just call from my room when I get there. So I did, but the phone in the room was not working - could not call the front desk. So I went to talk to the person at the front - I was told that she cannot provide me with a crib because there was no maintenance person available. 20 min later she knocked on our door letting us know that for sure in the entire hotel there was not one crib available and then she showed us the storage area. She did offer us a rollaway so we managed. The room the deadbolt on the door did not work and overall seemed like it could have used maintenance - it appeared clean though. The breakfast had some variety but the taste of waffels was pretty bad and I saw others throw their half eaten waffelts to the garbage also. The buns were as hard as a rock! There was a very kind gentleman working there helping folks with the waffels and stuff though. The pool was not bad - although small. Since we arrived late we did not use it but the kids wanted to take a swim in the morning so we stayed there for a few hours. If there were more people in the pool area than just us it would have been too crowded. Lisez la suite
