Very nice, quiet, comfortable and clean. A great option for a place to stay for an easy train ride to NYC.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! My friends and I had a girls weekend and we all loved this place. Beds were very comfy and we were with in walking distance to the train station! The staff was very friendly as well. I will be staying there again in the future.

This was an extended stay from a conference I was attending. The hotel is nice enough, I don't think it was ready for the conference that I was attending that weekend. The bathrooms in the public areas were smelly from the start of the weekend. Some stalls with no tissue, no soap at some of the sinks. With that being said I would stay here again on […] a regular getaway visit. To stay here again at a conference they really need to step up their game. I have stayed there many times over the years, and I have always found the hotel to be well managed, and the staff to be helpful.

The Hilton at Stamford is a very nice hotel. It was very cheap, considering it's near the New York border, but I assume weekend stays are cheaper, as it is an executive hotel. The room was clean, tidy, and smelled great. Unlike some of the Hiltons we've stayed at, the climate controls worked. It was a most comfortable night. Now the warnings. There […] is no free continental breakfast (which it did warn us before we booked, but I thought I'd put down here, too). Parking isn't complementary: it ran us $10 a night, and that is if you park it yourself in the parking garage. There is no parking lot. Valet down into the garage costs extra. So even if you get a wonderful deal, like we did, they nickel and dime you in other ways. BIG major flaw: we stayed up on the 8th floor. Apparently the walls are PAPER THIN up there. We could sleep fine, no noise, but every morning at around 7am we woke up to kids running around and crying at the top of their lungs. We could even hear the parents, even though they were talking at a normal volume. It was a horrible way to start the day. I loved the hotel. I would go back again. My room was very nice, it was big and comfortable. I did not like the food at the restaurant. The quality of the food compared to the price of the food was not good at all. The pool was great. The hot tub was under repair while I was there.

I stayed here with a friend for a birthday outing in Stamford. I was honestly shocked at the value I got. Booked for way less than I would have expected to pay. The hotel itself is big and contemporary. Room was very clean and had more than enough space. It was a plus for me to stay on a weekend because it wasn't crowded at all (more of a business-friendly […] hotel so it would have more people during the week). Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful. I would recommend getting a package that includes the breakfast buffet since its pricey without the vouchers. Easily one of the best hotels I've ever stayed at. my room was clean, comfortable, and the front desk staff was kind and courteous. You really can't ask for more. A highly-recommended place to stay.

Overall a very positive experience. Had a minor issue when checking in, since I asked for a rollaway bed during the reservation process and was assured by both Hotels.com and the HIlton that they have this available. Up on check-in the hotel staff member told me that they do not provide these as a general policy of the hotel. After a quick 10 seconds […] of my explanations she called a manager and every thing was all set. Rooms are very clean and the hotel was great. We stayed here for one night during the week after Christmas and were blown away by this hotel. The service was excellent. The staff was friendly. The beds were comfortable. And the View was beautiful. Big flat screen tv, spacious bathroom, plenty of elevators. We will definitely be back - this was the deal of the century. The reviews for this hotel seemed really good...however, my experience wasn't so good. The room did not have any towels, soaps, shampoo, waste basket liners...etc. I had to call down to guest services 4 times just to get everything. The toilet also leaked all over the bathroom and ran constantly. I called down to the front desk to resolve this issue […] and it was never taken care of. Good thing I had plans during the day and only slept there. Oh and the pool was closed until after the new year (which no one informed me on, until asking). Lisez la suite

It was a great hotel but it had problems with the swimming pool so we had a use a pool at another location. There is not enough parking at night if there are a couple of big events going on. I don't think we should be paying $10 per night for parking if we are already paying so much for the stay each night. One thing that I like about a hotel is the illusion that I am the only person that has ever slept in the room I am sleeping in. Unfortunately this didn't happen for us at the Hilton. When we arrived outside the door to our room, we were greeted by two dirty glasses of wine from the night before. When my 4 year old daughter opened the drawer of the night […] stand she was greeted by a condom!!! Needless to say it didn't get better with all the fighting and yelling going on in the hallway until midnight. To top it all off the pool was closed, no internet service, and no complimentary breakfast to wake up to. The hotel is beautiful but does not cater to its clients needs. Lisez la suite

Unfortunately, there was very poor Internet connectivity at the Stamford Hilton. The situation did not improve within 36 hours of reporting it. The swimming pool heater was broken. The situation did not improve within 36 hours of reporting it. Otherwise, the hotel was nice and the Staff is super friendly and helpful.

The hotel is a bit tired and needs some capex. For our stay a bad storm cut off power to a large area, many in the area went to the hotel to stay during blackout so no fault to the hotel for being unprepared. With that said expectations set by the hotel staff were not met. When asked how long room service would take we were told 1 hr. It turned out […] to be 2 hrs and 15 min. The lobby which is huge was overrun with teenagers running around with out control. Noise level throughout the hotel was high. As I said the hotel did not fall into the whole penalty box for this as much of this was unforseeable. Given its location, you wouldn't expect to have to pay extra for parking, but you do. We were directed to the parking structure for self-park, but no spaces were available. We returned to the desk, where the clerk said they would valet it for us. The next morning they couldn't find it - they had switched the keys with another tag. When they finally […] found it, a big red sticker that couldn't be removed had been placed on the window that said "you have parked illegally" etc. No apologies for any of this. One additional note: the finishes, funiture and fixtures on our floor were incredibly worn and out of date, very depressing and not at all what one would expect of a Hilton in Stamford. We stayed in one of the king bed room, it was clean but but the musky smell just wouldn't go away first we thought if we turn the AC on it would help but it didn't. breakfast is very limited may be because we were there almost 10 am but $19.00 plus tax and tip per person for coffee, orange juice and some scramble egg is a bit much. Parking is a night […] mare we end up parking on the b2 but different building which share the parking with the hotel and have no sign what so ever where or how to get back to the hotel once u were in there. other wise very clean and would recommended Lisez la suite

Nice hotel, but the bathrooms could be updated. Slow running drains(toilet and bathtub). I had to get out of bed to jiggle the toilet handle to make it stop running. On my last day there I arrived back at the hotel late to find that the room had not been cleaned. When I called the front desk they offered free breakfast which I told them I wasn't interested […] in, but I wanted clean towels. The parking lot was also a maze and an additonal fee. Lisez la suite

VALET SERVICE WAS GREAT , DOOR MAN , THE ONLY BAD PART WAS THE TV DIDNT WORK BUT THEY SENT SOME ONE PROMPTLY TO FIX IT .

Nice hotel, but needs improvement in areas of cleanliness and plumbing maintenance. Bath tub & toilet both overflowed water. We sopped them up with towels and alerted staff that wet towels were left in hallway. When we awoke the next day, wet towels were still on hallway floor. The 8th floor hallways were in dire need of vacuuming. Staff should be […] more attentive with picking up trays with food deposited on hallway floors. This hotel is very clean and close to the Amtrak station and downlown. The hotel has a restaurant on the premise. The room was very clean. I did not have any issues with the hotel. Highly recommend. The hotel also had a free shuttle to the nearby areas.

My husband, dog and I truly enjoyed our stay and plan to return. We wanted to stay one more night (a Sunday ), but the price would double what we initially paid for the Saturday stay, being that its more of a business hotel. We had an awesome time, felt safe and the staff were excellent.

This was recently a Westin Hotel. Very nice hotel with some minor comments. The music in the lobby is way loud and endless 24/7. Hotels are supposed to be relaxing and calm places. Elevator to parking level is one jerk and jolt after another. Don;t use it. Front desk would not let me check in 30 minutes before 3 pm check in.

The location was terrible.. especially the parking! No HBO complicated to get a movie. Very loud in the hall way... heard everyone in the hallway. Dr. M. C

We needed adjoining rooms and your staff was great at working it out. Your front desk people were awesome along with the everyone else, housekeeping; room service; etc. We enjoyed are stay and will come back.

This is my third stay at this hotel over the past 15 months, largely due to its proximity to my client. During these stays: (1) my room was not serviced; (2) the type of hotel room I reserved was unavailable on arrival resulting in a downgrade; (3) the elevator to the parking garage was not working requiring us to carry bags up flights of stairs; (4) […] the television during two stays was not working requiring visits from maintenance - during my most recent stay I was switched to a room which was dirtier and more tired than the initial room I was assigned to alleviate the television issue. In addition, during this visit, my colleague had to switch rooms because the room he was assigned had a flooded bathroom. Clearly something is going on with this hotel which is unfortunate because it looks nice on the outside and is conveniently located. My colleagues and I have decided to try another Stamford hotel during our next visit. Lisez la suite

This was a fabulous hotel...amazingly comfortable and clean. My only problem was the price of a Gatorade for my sons in the gift shop - $3.50 each! Other than that everything was perfect.

Near the heart of Stamford, CT this hotel has great facilities, numerous amenities, and great room service. The pool/jacuzzi are situated by the fitness room, so those who want to work out or laze about are in for a treat! It's great when one wants to escape, even just for the night, but can't go too far away from reality.
