Sheraton Miami Airport Hotel - Miami

Convenient but a budget hotel - not a Sheraton standard

It is close to MIA, and the shuttle runs every 15 minutes, but it left 1 minute early when I was on my way to airport, causing me to catch a cab to make my flight. I also had a huge problem getting a cab to the beach after midnight bc there arent incoming flights that late and the cabs disappear. I called the cab service ahead of time, tried to flag […] on the street, spoke to the manager, and an hour later finally hopped on the airport shuttle and flagged down a cabbie at the airport! Huge hassle! The phone calls I made for room service and other issues were not answered most of the time, which is not normally how starwoods operate. Nice room, close to airport, no mini fridge! Good value and comfort for the airport, but if you plan on venturing out, plan ahead w the cab, bc parking is expensive and a hassle too. Lisez la suite

We were very pleased with this hotel - no need to find somewhere to eat or worry about hotel security and very close to the airport. Food was very good and room was very comfortable and quiet.

Nice hotel but be careful they charged me for 175 dollars worth of fees I never used. Still dealing with my bank to get the charges removed.

Room was extremely small, dirty (dust, shower full of hair). Not worth the price, might as well go to a motel 6!

Very comfortable, beautiful hotel next to a golf course. Great pool and spacious gym. The only thing missing was a refrigerator.

I was told by the hotel that a shuttle arrives every 15 minutes I waited 40 minutes for a shuttle. The driver insisted he drove by every 15 minutes. He did not. I kept calling the hotel asking where is the driver. Musty oder. Again bed too soft, slept on floor. But this is not unusual for me in American hotels.

The Hotel was nice and comfortable. had a few issues when we checked that were resolved later. Overall, nice place to stay with easy access to so many places in Miami area.

I didn't mind paying the expensive price for the sheraton, but I expected better ambiance inside the room. I ordered a pizza and took a bath, then had to put clothes back on when the concierge called me to let me know the pizza guys weren't allowed upstairs. I had to go all the way to the lobby to get my food. The front desk staff wasn't very friendly […] either. They seemed irritated and unhappy. Good quality and we got a good rate, but it was not in an area convenient for walking around. The shower was a bit odd as the floor was not sunken in or sloped enough, so half the bathroom floor got covered in standing water during a shower. Overall, it was worth the price.

Front desk is slow and understaffed when we arrived. A lot of flight attendants and pilots stay at this hotel which when we were there ended up cutting line and pushy to get in. Definitely not respectful of other people in line. Other than that the lounge is open till midnight or 1am i believe and room service goes till 2 am which is nice because we […] did arrive late. Breakfast was good quality and the staff were so nice down in the restaurant. The pillows in the room are amazing!! Definitely one of the things that stands out the most. The service was so lazy if we ask for some towel,shampoo,etc. And some sevice people was not frienly or not smile

This hotel is probably the closest to MIA, except for the hotel inside the airport. It's nothing more than an airport hotel, and very non-descript and business-y, but in my multiple experiences there including today, it's quite clean and the beds really are awesome, like big clouds that make you just say, "YES!" - especially if you've been jammed into […] an airplane seat coming or going from someplace long, have a short overnight layover, and are facing another other crammed-in travel situation in the a.m. It has basic room service until 2:00 a.m. - rare for MIA airport hotels, and again key if you've been coming or going on a tough schedule while forced-dieting on airline peanuts or unfamiliar foreign fare and, as is frequent with MIA, arrive late and hungry due to delays/immigration- border control meltdowns. The bar closes at 1:00 a.m though. The bell service is fast even at peak hours- again key if you are rushing bleary eyed to an early morning flight or coming in late and desperately need to crash NOW. And, the bellmen are really nice! The hotel is a little on the expensive side, but if you are traveling a lot or facing a big meeting at the other end of your 4:30 a.m. wake up call for a morning flight - it's worth it if you can swing it. They have nice, dependable, in-room coffee makers and "to-go" cups. There is a shuttle and I recommend it- The AA terminal is the 1st stop so it's fast. The Sheraton is basically on the airport driveway and is maybe a 2 minute taxi drive from most baggage claim exits, but a taxi will still cost you US $11 because the taxis are zoned, not metered. Militantly nonsmoking (no smoke smell at all, anywhere!) and no balconies or windows that will open- and a $200 fee for any evidence of smoking in the room, so smokers may want to find another place. I would have given them higher marks on service and amenities if they didn't gouge for in-room wi-fi.That's a shame because it's a simple thing to offer gratis, and I think would build real Lisez la suite

Very unpleasant stay,there was no heating system with temperature of lower than 50, my two children shivering all night . My worse experience with any Sheraton .

This if a perfect hotel for business travelers, and Airport transit, but it falls short on expectations when families want to stay for more than two dais, which was our case. One big problem is that if you need parking you have to pay extra and is very expensive.

Parking was a complete mess! you had to have valet parking or pay a high amount of money to park it yourself. I think they need to rethink how this is helping the or assisting the guest. It was always a confusing when you went to get your car. They where running around like chicken cut off their heads. Never ever again!!!

not worth to stay if you want to see miami city or taking the cruise. they charge you for valet parking even when you book from hotel.com they said it was free. not convenient at all if want a site seeing.

No way to park yourself US$15.00 + tax 1 night Consider the charge in your stay... It' an abussive fee

Worked perfectly for an overnight layover. Great staff, very comfortable. Restaurant was a bit pricy but convenient.

Location near airport and rent a car services. Could not hear airport noise at all from my room which faced the airport. Close to major highways and only 10 mins from south beach. Staff was helpful and bar w/food is open late. Shuttle was on time and the driver was helpful. I will stay here again.

Perfect spot for flying away stay. Construction made it rather tough to find the place. One just has to figure out how to get there the first time, then everything would be easy.

Great hotel stay! Pool temp was wonderful! Room was comfy and clean, staff very friendly and professional.

Staff was good, room was nice, business appropriate, a little wear and tear, but nothing major. Starwood Club is THE best for points, btw. Great location next to airport, however, like I saw in past reviews: You are guaranteed to get lost if you're driving (and I'm from Miami and really really good with directions!). Lejeune splits and then hard to […] get back, even with my cell's google map, it was very difficult. Got lost and could not get to hotel (do not take U-turns, cops were there). Oh and concierge/valet gave me wrong directions, so that didn't help. Have a GPS or cell phone map and be prepared... you WILL get lost if you have a rental, just look for the back roads. My husband and I stayed here when we we recently had a connection in Miami on our way home from a vacation in the Carribean. We got in late one night and left early the next morning, so I can't comment on its proximity to any restaurants or touristy things since we didn't have time to do any of that. But for the purpose of having a comfy, clean place […] to stay for the night between flights, it was perfect. The hotel had a shuttle to bring guests to/from the airport (which is just a few minutes away) and it runs continuously about every 15 minutes. There were quite a few of us all trying to leave at the same time one morning, and when the staff noticed that we would not all fit on one shuttle, they put another shuttle in commission just so we could all leave promptly. When third parties are allowed to book rooms, there needs to be a way that any request that the guest make are communicated to the hotel. I made the reservation months in advance, request king size beds with adjoining room. Hotel mgmt stated that these request were not communicated to them. I even confirmed twice with the hotel front desk before my […] arrival. The hotel was very nice. The room was very disappointing. The bathroom smelled like someone just sat that there and smoked all day. The smoke got absorbed into the towels, making it very disgusting to wipe our bodies in. The shower wall was filled with mildew and it seemed like no one bothered to clean the washroom at all. The a/c in the room was so […] loud the whole night, my mom couldn't sleep, plus the smell of the washroom drifted out to the bedroom. My hotel reservations got cancelled so i couldnt be too choosey. But getting in and out of this place sucks, there is no self parking and a 15$ a day charge for valet. The rooms were fine for a Sheraton, but two things were difficult. First, if you drive there, its really difficult to get to the property because of the messed up traffice flow due to the new rental car garage. The Sheraton really cannot help this, but the difficulty remains. Perhaps some better signage on the feeder roads would be good. The second […] issue is the restaurant / bar. The food was ok, the service was average at best and the prices were a rip off. We had such a bad experience there, that I can not recommend the hotel to others, nor will I stay there again. The non smoking room, smelled like smoke. Not what I expected from Sheraton hotel at all. Next to airport construction. Nothing to do in waking distance. The only good thing is restaurant staff is very friendly and gave us suggestions on where to eat and hang out.

THis was a very difficult hotel to access. There were not clear markings or road signe to indicate the entrance. It could be due to the significant road construction in the area, but direct access was terrible. The service was very poor with long lines. The staff, however were very nice and helpful, there was just not sufficient workflow.
