Parco dei Principi Grand Hotel & SPA - Rome

Hotel agréable dans l'ensemble. Petit déjeuner buffet très complet, mais de qualité assez moyenne (pas de jus de fruits frais par exemple). Accueil assez froid, concierge un peu expéditif. L'hotel est très proche de la villa Borghese mais n'est pas dans le coeur de la ville.

Parco dei Principi is an excellent hotel--for somebody else. The nearest off-property restaurant or business is four long blocks away, and cabs are a necessity to get to anywhere except the Villa Borghese museum and park. love our room, excellent spa (the best spa we've been to), love the interior design of the hotel, we missed our breakfast, too bad we didn't have enough time to spend here because our flight fr Toronto got delayed due to mechanical issues & we arrived at thid hotel at 5am, thanks to the staff who made us checked out later.

The hotel was all that we expected and more. Our only reservation is that the location is not convenient for seeing the major sites of Rome.

The hotel is located very far from any of the sites. It was very expensive for an old hotel. The toilet had to be pumped and the air conditioning was not cool. It had an old luxury that was not very modern. You had to pay for wifi.

Fantastic hotel - great location & although not downtown it is not far away - it is a nice walk down through the park to the Spanish Steps or just 10 minutes taxi.. The hotel has kept an old style decoration which you can't often find and appreciate. It is located in a quiet residencial area surrounded by embassies. Therefore it is a pretty secure area. They should stay […] open until dusk to allow a better use of the facilities. The stuff is generally helpful although they have a mix of characters: dry personalities and really friendly. A clear example is the breakfast waiter. My rate did not include breakfast and it was reminded in a loud voice every morning when I was entering the breakfast room. By the way, breakfast was overpriced. I do not expect to pay 27.50 euros for some scrambled eggs and bacon (very limited selection) when you can walk 100 meters and enjoy a nice coffee and panini for 3 euros. In our view this hotel does not at all live up to its 5 star status: 1) The air conditioning did not work - and could not be fixed (the staff tried several times) 2) The minibar was half empty at arrival. We found a bottle of water that someone else had been drinking from! Even though we complained about this upon arrival, the hotel tried to make […] us pay for filling up the half empty minibar!!!!! 3) The room was dirty with big layers of dust on the curtons. 4) The fire alarm started in the middle of the night - interestingly, the staff did not really know how to turn it off again. Succeeded after about 10 tries. 5) Breakfast was quite expensive and of very poor quality - not even possible to get a proper orange juice. 6) We called the hotel before booking to check that the SPA had opened. Most of the staff have a nice attitude and seem genuinely friendly - one or two of the front desk/doormen make less of an effort. Pool very nice and a great suntrap with good poolside service. It's a 10 minute cab ride to the centre - about a 25 minute walk. Food average, prices not. A nice escape from the bustle of Rome needed.

If you book to stay at this hotel you will be disappointed. We travel abroad 5 or 6 times a year and always stay in 5 star hotels, and this was the worse place we have stayed in for many years. This is the very first time I have ever commented on one of these sights but our holiday was truly not what we expected from an expensive 5 star hotel. The […] attitude from the staff across all areas particularly the reception, bar and pool service was extremely poor. Not one person smiled at any stage during our 5 night stay in the hotel. They were indifferent towards us and generally we felt like we were a nuisance by being there. No General Manager ever seemed to be around or anyone with overall authority. The staff looked as though they were not happy with their work or environment. The reception staff (all men) who strutted around like peacocks were inefficient, unfriendly and it seemed a really big effort for them to serve us. The waiters around the pool were unfriendly and arrogant. 10 Euros for one cafe late. I'm still recovering from the shock. It was small and not very hot!! But I didn't complain due to their take it or leave it attitude. I'm happy to pay top prices but don't like to feel ripped off - which is how I am still feeling. The pool was the main reason for booking the hotel and it was a lovely break from sight seeing. But it didn't open until 10am and closed at 7pm which was a bit restricting especially since we were in peak season - mid July and the sun was still shining and temps still around 30 degrees at 8pm, and we were chased out well before 7pm. The photos of this hotel look lovely on their website - the have used a very clever marketing company, but don't be fooled like we were, they are not representative, certainly no smiling bar man! rude staff and ver unhelpful, felt like you where a burden when you asked them something. the breakfast was not worth 27 euro and did not liive yup to the standards that usually served in 5-star hotels. around the area it is no restaurants at all so you have to take a cab just to go for a coffee. the pool area was very lovely.

This was a great hotel in a great city location. It is walking distance from Via Veneto, Trevi Fountain etc., but away from the traffic and noise as it is behing the Villa Borghese Park.

We exactly found what we were looking for. After full days of sightseeing we returned to an "oasis of peace". A comfortable room was expecting us. Perfect beds. The only noise during nighttime were the shouts of the animals in the zoo in the park nearby. Tasty breakfast buffet. Fitness room including all machines for a decent workout. An olympic outdoor […] pool where you can do swim training if want but also just hang out for a whole day. The walk to the city through the park of villa Borghese is beautiful and after 10 minutes you have a spectacular view over the city. You find decent places for dinner in walking distance. Tastefully decorated (guest rooms and common areas), nice views, great staff. Hotel located near Villa Borghese Gardens and we had a view of the Vatican and the Zoo. The hotel is luxurious from the moment you enter the lobby to when you get to the rooms. The decor really reflects the grandeur of Rome. The standard rooms which they call "superior" are more than a good size with on suite bath and shower in bath. After a day sightseeing it is great to get back to the relaxing, quiet, surroundings of an hotel with a pool to really wind down. The element of this hotel that would make me consider another hotel was the variable attitude of the staff. Some were absolutely brilliant, namely the pool side attendants, the bar staff, Nabil, the consierge and the odd waiteress at breakfast. However the general attitude of the of the reception staff other than Nabil did not match up to the hotel. It came over as take it or leave it and we are not prepared to go out of our way at all. excelente hotel, com maravilhoso café da manhã, instalações luxuosas, tudo em perfeito funcionamento. possui um spa que é de outro mundo. de todos os hoteis 5 estrelas com spa da europa que visitamos, nunca vi um tão bonito e confortável.

Es war nicht einfach, ein Hotel mit Pool in Rom zu finden. Hier waren wir sehr zufrieden mit der Poolanlage. Es war Ende August noch unheimlich warm, und wir konnten das Wasser wirklich geniessen.

Das Hotel könnte ein passender Ort für Ruhe und Entspannung ausserhalb des geschäftlichen Treibens von Rom sein, um sich vom täglichen sightseeing zu erholen, wenn nicht folgende Unannehmlichkeiten aufgetreten wären: 1. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit am Empfangsbereich und bei der Bedienung am Pool sind sehr verbesserungsbedürftig 2. Wir haben […] noch nie eine so schlechte Qualität an Cocktails erhalten wie am Poolbereich dieses Hotels zu einem nicht akzeptablen Preis 3. Der angebotene Shuttleservice des Hotels bringt die Gäste nur an 2 Standorte, die jedoch nicht an zentralen Sehenswürdigkeiten liegen 4. Die Buchung einer Pferdekutsche als sightseeing Tour zu den wichtigsten Sehenswürdigkeiten der Stadt ist nicht über das Hotel zu empfehlen (stark überhöhter Preis) 5. Vi var to voksne på ferie som ønsket en mix av avslappning og historie. Vårt møte med hotellet var at de hadde dobbeltbooket og flyttet oss tre av fem dager til et annet hotell på den andre siden av parken. Det hotellet var av like god standard men hadde ikke basseng. Beliggenheten til vårt reservehotell var bedre med bedre muligheter for bespisning […] og shopping. Og vi fikk et oppgradert rom som plaster på såret så vi klager ikke. Følger at vi fikk det beste av begge verdner. Ble mye drosje men når det koster mellom 8 og 10 Euro så gjør det ikke noe. Spaavdelingen i kjelleren annbefales på det sterkeste. Lisez la suite

Rommene er fine og hotellet holder høy standard....skal du bo lengre enn 1-2 dager hadde jeg valgt noe billigere. Om du greier deg uten spa og muligens basseng kan du redusere prisen betraktelig.

Vi hadde tre flotte dager i Roma. Hotellet ligger en kort spasertur på ca 20 min til f.eks Spanske trappene og de andre severdighetene som byen har å tilby. Hotel was prima, luxe en comfort. Vriendelijke staf! Park dichtbij en de rest is ook op loopafstand. Aan de buitenkant ziet er het er niet uit als een paleis...is het van binnen echter wel. TOPverblijf!

Morgenmaden var god, men personalets omhu (5 stjerner?) var næsten for meget.. vi kunne dårligt ligge gaflerne før de var væk! Der var ikke meget fred om bordet. Om aftenen gik vi i byen og spiste!

Fredlig område, fredlig hotell, høy standard.

The Hotel was OK all in all. But both the Spa and the outdoor pool was closed. We where very disapointet about that. Apart from that it was good service and very polite and happy staff. The supirior double room was a bit smaller than we expectet, but stil nice. Great breakfast! Nice location of the Hotel, with 20 min walk to the Spanish steps.

La habitacion muy amplia, de las mas grandes que he visto en europa, ademas de hermosa. todo estilo clasico, nos sentimos como en la epoca de los reyes, durmiendo en uno de sus palacios. la ubicacion es muy buena, pegado a villa borguese, aunque no tan cerca de los monumentos turisticos.

Flott Hotell! Bra Service Generellt . Veldig god romservice. Litt lang avstand til Byen. Men relativt rimelig med Taxi . Prøv frokosten vedlig god :) . Ellers dra ut og spis . Sightsing turer fra Vestatravellers kan anbefalles. Mvh S.M

For oss, som reiste med en ettåring, var basseng og sentrumsnærhet kriteriene. Hotellet tilfredsstilter kravene våre på en formidabel måte og vi kunne bodd der igjen. Litt synd at frokosten ikke er inkludert og at det er forholdsvis stive priser i hotellets restaurant og bar. Pluss for beliggenhet like ved borgheseparken, hvor vi tilbrakte mye tid.

Vi var mycket nöjda med vår vistelse på hotellet men skulle vilja framföra följande synpunkter till hotels.com och hotellet för att ytterligare förhöja vistelsen för framtida gäster: 1) Swimming poolen stänger redan kl.19.00. Det vore önskvärt att den var öppen till 21.00 eller åtminstone 20.00 så man kan ta sig ett bad när man återkommer efter en full […] dag på stan. 2) Internet: Jag tycker det är väldigt småaktigt av ett femstjärnigt hotell att debitera €27 per dygn för att få tillgång till internet. 3)Hotellfrukost: Jag har aldrig tidigare varit på ett hotell som debiterar så mycket för frukost som detta hotell, €27,50 per person. Het hotel was lux, sfeervol, schoon en keurig verzorgd. De service was uitstekend en het zwembad heerlijk na een dag shoppen en wandelen in Rome. De tiener dochters hebben ervan genoten. Moet wel een taxi nemen s'avonds om naar het centrum te gaan maar een rit koste slechts 10-15 Euro.

Erinomainen keidas kuuman, kaupungissa vietyn päivän jälkeen. Sijainti hivenen keskustan ulkopuolella ei haitannut, koska taksimatkat kohtuullisen hintaisia.

Hotellet ligger veldig fint til! Ikke lang unna sentrum, men samtidig i et rolig strøk! Villa borghese ligger rett ved siden av, og med alle trærne og kioskene som ligger i den er det ikke noe problem og gå den kilometeren det er til sentrum. Koselig er det å gå der også! Hotellets ansatte er veldig hjelpsomme og hyggelige. Alle smiler og er behjelpelige […] med hva det måtte være. Det er roomservicee to ganger om dagen, og hvis du vil de skal skifte på senga oftere / ha nye håndklær utover de to gangene er det bare å henge ut lapp på døra. Badevakten er også veldig behjelpelig ved bassenget, både med og ordne håndklær og til å ordne solsengene slik du vil ha dem. Det er vel generelt folk over alt som kan ordne ting akkurat slik du vil ha det. Det kan være lurt å ta kontakt med hotellet om man tenker å reise med taxi fra flyplassen. Hotellet har nemlig egne priser og sjåfører til dette - og det er både billigere og bedre komfort enn en vanlig taxi fra flyplassen. Lisez la suite

This hotel is one of the best in Rome. The delicate pool and pool area is a must summmertime. Good service 24h. Only a quick walk trough the park to the Spanish steps with good shopping areas and dining. We will stay here next time.

Hotellet har pool vilket är en stor fördel i Rom på sommaren och rummen är fint möblerade. Det är det positiva man kan säga om det här hotellet för servicen och bemötandet från personalen vid incheckningsdisken var under all kritik. Det blev också strul vid utcheckningen, där det var uppsatt saker på vår räkning som vi inte hade nyttjat och det var […] även andra saker som inte fungerade som det ska göra på ett femstjärnigt hotell. Best part of hotel is garden and swimming pool. Staff unefficient and unhelpfull. Restaurant refused to set a free table on terrace, insisting we eat inside. Doorman constantly waiting to be tipped quite enoying.

Via het mooie stadspark Villa Borghese loop je in ongeveer 10 minuten naar het centrum van Rome. Het hotel en het heerlijke buitenzwembad zijn een een oase na op een warme zomerdagdag rondgelopen te hebben in het hete en drukke centrum. Een minpunt vind ik dat je in zo'n duur hotel fors moet betalen (12 euro per uur) om gebruik te kunnen maken van een […] draadloze internetverbinding. (200 meter verderop is dat gratis). With a location near The Borghese Park this place is just the place for you that prefer a quiet stay near the Spanish steps and Via Veneto. Great pool, good food and nice room.

En af de få muligheder for pool midt i Rom - bemærk dog at poolen KUN er åben mellem 10-19 - dvs at efter en varm tur i byen kan man ikke nyde den om aften (desværre!). Det er en rask gåtur før man når den spanske trappe - men dejligt med en park - vi tog det som andet hotel i byen efter at første 4 dage blev brugt på et hotel tæt på Termini.
