"Neat, felt like my previous stay at hyatt"
I liked the cleanliness of the rooms, the service, although i feel the shuttle service should have more flexible times and areas. I had not means of transportation so i had to use a taxi to get to most places around the area. These issues are probably just specific to me.Avis véridique Hotels.com

The room smelled like curry (which is a smell I like in restaurants, not hotel rooms). The room was rather beat up. The refrigerator door handle was very dirty (black even). "Horrible, noisy hotel. Never stay again."
Horrible hotel experience. Booked a 7 night stay and checked out after 3 nights due to excessive noise problems. Hotel has paper thin walls, so you can hear your neighbors talking. Noisy, drunk guests woke me up every night of my stay and after 3 nights of interrupted sleep and noisy, inconsiderate next door guests, I had had enough. Even though the […] hotel was remodeled and furnishings aren't bad, the hotel retained it's paper thin walls, so there will always be noise issues. Beware, this hotel is located very close to Rutgers University, so my impression was that the hotel is a party hotel after events. Would never stay at this hotel again. "A little disappointed in service."
We chose this hotel due to its proximity to the University and the fact that it had a kitchen to prepare meals for our athlete son.We were there 3 days 2 nights.The location was good and the hotel was clean.Our shocker came when we asked for a late checkout,as we have a morning session and a late session with a 4 hour break in between.The swim session […] lasts from 7am to 12noon,and we were hoping to stay until about 3 so we wouldnt have to load the car at 630 am.Imagine our suprise when we found that checkout was VERY early and were told that even staying unil 11am there would be a service charge.Any hotel Ive ever stayed at had a checkout of 11am or noon.We would have been happy to pay for the late checkout but it was going way over the budget we could stay another night.We will remember this for next year and stay at a competitor who let our friends check out at 3:30 with no charge. The clerk told me that the credit card swipe was if any damage was done to the room. The had a broken closet door and a broken shelf in the closet. Granted we checking in late, almost midnight, however, hotels are open 24 hours, no? The front desk was not at all attentive. Though the morning staff was excellent. "Heads up on our recent experience"
We have stayed in this hotel for a one night over the years because it is close to our son's home and we come in late and leave early.. This time we stayed 2 nights and discovered they only make the beds up if you stay 6 days, also fresh towels after 6 days??? Wow. The smell of curry in the halls does not add to its ambience. Last Christmas morning […] a person with a master key tried to break into our room at 4:45 in the AM claiming her sister was in there and was ill. Apparently the desk had forgot to book us in and so she thought the room was empty. April 5th we booked a room for grandson's graduation from Rutgers on 5/13. Day before we were to arrive we were called and told they could not accommodate us due to a convention in the area. The convention was the Rutger's graduation which we had booked 6 weeks before. They did find us another room and big deal gave us a $5.00 rate reduction.This current time we returned to our home and received a call telling us that an employee had inadvertently charged an additional $179.99 to our bill. The hotel was close to where we needed to be. Otherwise it was terrible. The first room was very dirty (dirty mirrors, countertops, top of the fridge) and smelled like someone had cooked something nasty in there not long before we arrived. There was also a dog bariking across the hallway that would not stop. We asked to change rooms. The second room […] was no better, but we had to get cleaned up and dressed for our event so there was no time to make alternate arrangements. We actulally kept the window open the whole time, ran the bathroom fan and the A/C, and bought a candle in an attempt to clear the room of the smell. The hallways even smelled like old food and smoke (although every room in our wing had a sign saying it was a non smoking room!) Never again will I consider this chain of hotels! My only issue was the lack of "extras". The only shampoo they had was a 2-in-1 and you had to go down and get it. The coffee maker was brand new, but didn't work. "Undergoing renovations"
The first room they put me in was designated non-smoking but it smelled of cigarettes and the air conditioning did not seem to be working. This hotel is fine for college students , however I booked this room based on similar rooms I have stayed in at the Eliment and candlewood .. I was very disapointed , yes there was coffee in the room , no cups or cream limited dishes , no utensils.. No soap , conditioner shampoo , .. 1. The heating unit was so loud and looked very old. It did work but was very noisey. 2. While the room looked to be clean it still had the "feel" that it was a cosmetic clean but deep down dirty. "You get what you pay for"
Good room for the price. We reserved a room for six and only had two towels in bathroom. OK. At check in (7:00 p.m.), the temp. was 85*. At 9:00 temp was still 85* and the air was running for the past two hours. I complained to the front desk. He said give it alittle more time. Finally at 11:00 I went out again to find someone new just starting his […] shift (which was to do laundry). I explained the problem he proceded to go outside to catch the last clerk before he left. His answer was for the laundy man to help us. I thank God that he felt sorry for us and was able to fix the air. The room got comfortable quickly and all was good for the night. The night clerk and not the laundy man should have helped us and not left us uncomfortable for FOUR HOURS. Other than that I would stay there again for a night. "Stinky rooms - Icky continental breakfast"
I booked a non-smoking room for my co-worker and myself. Although the sign on the door said it was a non-smoking room, it stank from cigarette smoke. There was also an ashtray in the room, which typically is not in non-smoking rooms. I asked if we could be moved to a different room, but they did not have one with 2 beds, which was a requirement that […] we had specified. I believe our room was really a smoking room, and all they did was switch the signs outside. The bed spreads even stank from stale smoke. The "continental breakfast" in the lobby consisted of small, stale tasting white bread bagels and tiny muffins that were in plastic packages (as if they came from a vending machine), a bowl of sour apples and burnt-tasting coffee. There was no butter. There was also no place to sit down and eat anything. It was clear they went as cheap as they could with the food.
