Malgré des prix un peu élevés au restaurant, excellent accueil, hotel très agréable. La décoration est sobre et élégante, la propreté irréprochable et les chambres relativement bien insonorisées (pour un hotel). La clim se coupe, exceptionnel aux US :) Un très bon séjour.

Dommage que la qualité "housekeeping" laisse a désirer. Meme apres avoir signale que le ménage n'était pas fait dans la chambre, le sèche cheveux défectueux, les peignoirs non remplaces et les serviettes en quantité insuffisantes, rien n'a été mis en place pour y remédier. Par contre, dans une parfaite politesse américaine, le staff du lobby s'excusait […] de cette négligence. Il transmettait de manière professionnel, au manager concerne, qui lui semblait être en vacances. Curieuse situation que j'avais du mal a comprendre surtout connaissant bien les Etats Unis, y ayant vécu pendant 7 ans. Dommage, pour cet hôtel très bien place... "Wish I knew"
Wasn't aware of the fact that my card would be charged AFTER the fact of parking. Someone else agreed to pay for parking. Which onsite is $57 per night. Instead, it was billed to my card. I think it was OK, all of the lounges etc were closed, for Idk why, also the rooms were a bit small, and not so up to par, the beds were great, and location was great, but it could have been a bit better, I think I will look elsewhere for the little extra money next time I return to the city. "Engagement Night Couldnt have been better!"
Stayed here recently on the night I got engaged, and let em tell you this place was amazing. The front desk went out of their way and upgraded my fiance and I to a suite when he heard what the occassion was, and I have never been in a room which was that comfortable. The pillow-top mattress was excellent, and everything was exceptionally clean. Parking […] is a little expensive, but the location on the river and right in the heart of downtown is great. "More like a 3.5"
Hotel Sax is definitely in a central location off of State St. The lobby is a bit dark as is the hotel bar (which no one greeted us). The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. But the two pillows were not sufficient. The room definitely needed a little love seat. The towels were very thing and were less luxurious then a towel you would find at the […] Holiday Inn. "This place is all about location"
Can't ask for a better location, within walking distance to so much! Front desk was very friendly and helpful with directions. The only negative was a very bad bathroom floor plan made it hard to get ready in the morning. For a one night stay it was no big deal.... for a longer stay it would have been very annoying. "fashionable but not fabulous"
Overall, I was satisfied with our stay. I'm from Chicago and love the House of Blues. I also like the Crimson Lounge. Hotel Sax is very stylish and they have a good location on the river. Their daily fees for wifi and parking are a bit steep. The rooms were small but mostly clean. The desk area by the TV and ice bucket was a little dusty. "OK for leisure, not for business traveler"
The lighting in the room is limited and too dim to do any desk work if you're traveling for business. There is no refrigerator or coffee maker...essential if you're staying a week or longer! Cleaning is not thorough. Housekeeping will make your bed, replace towels, and emptry trash but will not wipe anything (sink, shower, desk, etc) or put away an […] upright iron board. They also missed two of my scheduled wake-up calls and did not replace the used small bar of soap during my entire one week stay!! Cheap! Internet service is not complimentary in the room and room service menu is overpriced and very limited. Bailmen don't hail cabs for you. I hailed mine during my entire stay. The staff was very nice & helpful. Everything was attractive. I had the following issues : There were two still in the package (thankfully) condoms in the floor beside the bed. There was no "in room "available coffee. There were two of us and only towels for one. Fridge was so full of booze that it was unusable for the fruit I had bought for my breakfast. "Great stay!"
Very large rooms, great location, and very cheap compared to surrounding. The building from the outside looks outdated, but i don't really care about that. Location is great. Staff was nice. "Room Service Amazing"
We had an excellent stay. After seeing a show we got back to our room starving, even though room service was done for the day Guest Services still got us 2 sirloin burgers with fries and the BEST cheesecake I have ever had in my life. Beware of room service. We ordered ice cream and were told there were three scoops. So we justified the $16 charge by thinking they were probably large scoops. "Dark and too many bums begging for money"

Located within walking distance or short cab ride to of all the Chicago must-see places. The vibe of the hotel is funky and cool with very friendly service.
