Overall was very pleasant...great location! Pretty room on top floor, enjoyed nice deep sleep, even though i was expecting booming noise from the club...breakfast was wonderful! Staff very helpful...no complaints, many thanks

Hotel bien placé, au pied du tramway, d'une station de vélo, du airlink pour aller à l aéroport, et proche à pied du centre. Hotel bien tenu, wifi gratuit dans les chambres. Chambres propres, on pourrait reprocher le manque d'isolation phonique avec l'extérieur mais rien de très désagréable. Pour le pdj, une supérette est au pied de l hotel. Un bon hotel en bref.

"Une localisation parfaite pour profiter de Dublin"
C'est la deuxième fois que je séjourne au George Frederic Handel Hotel. Sa localisation est parfaite pour qui veut loger en plein centre de Dublin, à 5 minutes de la zone animée de Temple Bar. Emplacement idéal à 5 minutes à pieds de Temple Bar et donc calme car pas directement dedans. trés bonnes prestations, personnels trés serviables. Par contre Attention les places de parking sont payantes à partir de 07h et c'est chers et si vous choisissez les places "livraison" à 07h05 vous aurez le droit , comme moi, à un sabot à la roue et 80 euros […] à payer par téléphone, même pas le temps de déJeuner! Traveling with husband, sister/brother-in-law. Our rooms were on the top floor and had opening windows. We could see the River Liffey from our rooms. I didn't really notice an unusual amount of noise at night despite the proximity to Temple Bar area. The hotel bar is a strange set up and was nearly deserted the one night we were there. The staff were great, always helpful and 'real person' polite not forced. I would caution N American travelers that the rooms are quite small by US and Canadian standards but we were not planning any parties. There are a dizzying array of restaurants close by. Absolutely fantstic hotel in a perfect location. most comfy bed we'd ever slept in! Friendly staff and great breakfast. We stayed here over New Year and couldn't have asked for a nicer hotel. The staff were really friendly and very helpful, the room was a little tired looking but very clean and had the comfiest bed! It was a two minute walk to Temple Bar so is surrounded by places to eat and bars to visit. This is a very nice hotel, very convenient to everything we wanted to see and do in Dublin, and quite reasonably priced. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. My only complaint (not really the hotel's fault) was the noise from the street---traffic, sirens and the ringing of a nearby church bell […] made it difficult to sleep. My friend and I visited Dublin for the first time and we were looking for a place that was right in the middle of everything. The George Frederic Handel Hotel was in a great location. It allowed us to be within walking distance to everything. The staff at the hotel were great. They allowed us to check in hours earlier than we were supposed to. "Conveniently located"

The hotel was clean, in good repair and well decorated. The bathroom was excellent - not at all pokey which can be a problem with city centre hotels. The location was absolutely perfect for us - close to the places we wanted to go and the street was well lit and felt safe. If I had to be critical, the bed was a little hard for my taste - but I do prefer […] a softer mattress. All that said, the best thing about this hotel were the friendly and efficient staff. They provided maps and directions, recommended excellent restaurants, gave us late night conversation and bar service, booked taxis and kept our luggage for us when we'd checked out but had a few more hours before we needed to leave. "Do NOT Stay At This Hotel"
When we arrived to the hotel it was 2 PM and our room was not ready. When we got to the room, there was a very strong, nauseating scent of air freshener. We opened the window and turned on the ceiling fan only to find that it grated when it was on. As the air freshener started to dissipate, we began to smell a strong odor of mold in the room. I had […] already called about the room odor and was told to just open the window and start the fan. I then called Expedia. We ended up moved to a better smelling room and a promise from the manager that our stay would be good if we gave them a 2nd chance. I dearly wish I had insisted on changing hotels that day. We were very busy on our trip and that first day was the only day we would have had to changed. Our room was only cleaned (bed was made, trash can emptied) once during our 4 day stay, after a request, and our towels were never changed. The hotel does not provide washclothes. Shampoo and hand soap are attached to the walls of the bathroom. The hair dryer is fastened under the desk, is at least 20 years old, & only worked as long as you continually pressed the button. The hotel itself is really in need of an update. The carpeting has holes in several places. You have no control over the temperature of your room. There are not sufficient plugs in the walls to charge items like cell phones or cameras. Claudia, the receptionist, is the hotel's saving grace.
