North Vancouver Hotel - North Vancouver

The hotel was not special, but the price was very reasonable. The hotel breakfast was a good, make-your-own waffles type of breakfast. The staff worked with us when we needed a downstairs room.

An older hotel, very clean , could use some cosmetic updating, but convenient North Vancouver location. Vancouver transit half block away, within 1-2km of shopping malls, major site seeing destinations ( Capilano suspension bridge, Lynn Canyon, Stanley Park) all within a few kms. Very friendly helpfull staff, decent price, will stay here again.

We stayed over night in this hotel on our summer vacation. We were less than 10 minutes to the Horseshoe Bay ferry terminal the next morning, and avoided Vancouver traffic going there as the location is in North Vancouver. It was just off the #1 hwy and easy to find. The motel had very friendly staff, a clean outdoor pool and the rooms themselves were clean. Breakfast in the morning was included in the price and there were good options. It was busy in the morning and the room was small, but otherwise it was a nice breakfast. For a 2 star hotel rating this is exactly what you would expect and I would stay here again.

the room was not cleaned on a daily basis. only the beds were made and the used towels were folded and put back on the rack. there was no mention of not replacing used towels. there was very minimal maid service to the room. everything else was just okay.

Under other circumstances ( road construction) this could be a lovely place to stay but I would prefer paying less and going out for breakfast as it was overcrowded and hot in the breakfast area. Our rooms weren't available until after 3 The front desk was extremely helpful and courteous

Hotel unfortunately in middle of construction zone at time of stay. Otherwise very nice, clean, comfortable and convenient to N. Vacouver as well as easy access to bridge. Hotel personnel very nice and helpful.

Hotel was not acceptable. After checking in, found black mold on the bathroom ceiling and wall. No window or vent for bathroom. The air conditioner was no help, it smelled of mold as well. At checkout, front desk person said "sorry" and "have a nice day".

The place is infested with Scorpions and bugs. It is one of the worst hotel ever we stayed. I would not recommend this hotel if you are staying with family.

It was a very standard, slightly sub-par hotel. Better than a Motel 6, no where close to a Holiday Inn. The service was wonderful; they were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and everything put together. The breakfast was OK - good choices, not just bagels and fruit. But the room was so small and not well organized, so if even 2 more people are trying to get their breakfast at the same time it's very frustrating. My main complaint was the comfort of the beds. Goodness - hard as a board! It was almost painful. The rooms were extremely basic - nothing special at all. The location was OK - North Vancouver is good to be out of the way of the major hub of downtown. But it's right on a busy street, and when we were there a whole ton of construction was going on. Overall, everything was fine, but it wasn't great. We felt that we spent more money than we should have for what we got.

The overall motel was as I expected. They are though a little stintchy on some items in the "full breakfast". There was no refill of items like bacon.

This hotel is very close to the parks/attrcations, capilano bridge, stanley park, grouse mountain to name a few, and only 8-10 minutes away from downtown.very satisfied with the continental breakfast, only, the dining area is very small that we have to bring our food in our room. it would be nice if management can do something to make it a little bigger. But overall, it was a satisfying experienced.

We will stay there again.

North Vancouver Hotel 1800 Capilano Rd there are many places to go eat at. in the hotel main office there is like brochures for local resturants. Stanley Park, Suspension Bridge is only 5mints away from the hotel. in additon is close to the city cente, resturants and grocery shops.

decent breakfast, rooms were large, but nothing special. They allow dogs. If you have a dog they will try to put you in super smelly rooms. I had to argue a bit to be put into a "non smelly dog room". The 3rd room they offered me was smell free. The staff was good.

This hotel was great for us. The rooms were really clean and had microwaves and a fridge. The hotel was super easy to find and really close to Stanley Park, Capilano Bridge, Cleaveland Dam, and Lynn Valley Suspension Bridge (we biked from Stanley Park over the bridge to the hotel in 10-15min). The free breakfast was amazing, hot sausage, eggs and waffles you make fresh yourself with a rotating waffle maker!

We were very happy with the room and service. I like to have a window I can open at night to get some fresh air. There were small type windows at the back side of the unit, but were painted shut. As these were high up on the wall so did not pose a security problem, they would have been great to have open at night. We were on the second floor. No complaints at all. Everything was great.

Very clean and comfortable room, better than I expected for North Vancouver. Rooms are equipped with a fridge and microwave.....I'd recommend bringing your own food for morning because the breakfast area is very tiny with not much choice for eats. Otherwise I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

We were looking for a hotel in North Vancouver to be away from down town and this was a good choice. It was reasonably priced and very convenient to check out Capilano Suspension bridge. It was also a very easy drive over the Lions Gate Bridge into Stanley Park and Vancouver beyond. As others have noticed, the breakfast room was very small and over crowded, however the food quality was good. The room was simple but nice enough for our needs.

About what you would expect for the money. Not close to downtown, but close to Stanley Park. We left our car at Stanley Park and walked to downtown. Within walking distance of a couple of restaurants.

This is a budget hotel. If you are just looking for a place to stay for the night at a good price, then this is it. No Frills.

It is very clean, and nice place. 10 minutes drive from every attraction point in Vancouver. The staff was very friendly, and the breakfast was eatable.

The hotel is in North Vancouver, obviously from its name, but this means that a significant body of sea water has to be crossed to get to Vancouver proper. This is done by getting on to the Lions Gate Bridge which is a few blocks from the hotel. This is incredibly convenient and brings with it the much lower rates of North Vancouver. The Lions Gate Bridge is, however, incredibly congested at times which means waiting in the very traffic one takes a vacation to get away from. We found the 6-8 AM traffic almost non-existent. The hotel is nothing spectacular, but the rooms are nice, large and comfortable. The free breakfast includes eggs, waffles, bagels, toast, juice, coffee, tea all which you make or pour yourself. The breakfast room is a crowded collection of guests from multiple countries checking toasters and waffle irons. And, more of a surprise! - many of the attractions a visitor wants to see in Vancouver are on the North Side of the Bay - Lynn Canyon, Grouse Mountain, Horseshoe Bay, Whistler, and if you wish to fall for this tourist trap, the Capilano Suspension bridge. Compared to other hotels we checked out - the North Vancouver Hotel is an incredible deal.

Nice, clean hotel and good location north of the city. Many good restaurants within 10 minute drive. Very close to Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge.

Very small bathroom, no hairdryer,needs to be updated,felt old and dingy.Free breakfest was plentyfull but the room was to small, guests bumped into each other.

room smelled like mold, a/c didn't work well. door to hotel room had huge gaps in it so you could actually see outside witht he door "shut". the free breakfast included waffles, bagels, cereal, juice, coffee, toast..lots to choose from...but in a tiny room that you can't even move in. there were probably 15 people in this room no where to sit. it wasn't the end of the world, we took our food back to our room...but not exactly what we expected. I would also like to point out...that I am not one of those people that need exteme clean or luxury in a hotel. If I was I would't have been staying at this hotel to begin with. It really was a bad hotel...and I can put up with a lot! our room was non refundable and we had pre paid (it's non refundable because otherwise everyone would check in and check right back out) and we couldn't afford to walk on on the $ we paid already and go pay for another hotel.

Nothing fancy about this hotel, but the room was clean and quiet the price is much better than in the downtown Vancouver area. Rooms come with mini fridge and microwave. Three separate buildings with two floors and outdoor corridors. Free parking. Great location if you are visiting Stanley Park, the Capilano bridge and the Grouse Mountain areas, and there are lots of good restaurants in the area to choose from. The Lions Gate bridge leading into downtown Vancouver is only a couple of minutes from the hotel. The only complaint we had was the tiny breakfast area next to the lobby. Plan on bringing your waffles and other breakfast items back to the room with you, because there probably won't be an open table unless you get there early.

The hotel was an old Best Western that had attempts at updating. (Still using some of its stationary, etc.) It was a $50 taxi ride from the air port and in the middle of nowhere. No place to eat or shop, not within walking distance of anything. The room was very small and cramped. Staff was not very friendly.

All staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice. My family and I were happy there.

I would stay with them again. The staff was very helpful with all request.

We were very impressed with the room. The beds were very comfy and the room was spotless. The only issue we had was the hotel was full and the breakfast room was too small. I would recommend this to anyone for the value received.

Had to pay for use of computer and it didn't work very well - staff were helpful but they were also frustrated with computer. Breakfast was just okay - nothing exceptional

The hotel offers great breakfast with waffles. There is a computer that you can get online if necessary oppositing from the front desk.
