Clean and friendly service....relaxing stay....will stay again!

This is a convenient, off the freeway hotel for one night on your way down the road. There really aren't any sites to see or great activities nearby. The complimentary breakfast was better than most. The biggest frustration in our stay was that the pool alarm started blaring at 5:20 am and no one shut it off for over an hour. Short night!!!

This was my second time I stayed at the Holiday Inn Express in Santa Nella. It was clean and comfortable. This was the first time I had a first floor room. You could hear the person walking around the room above you. It was not too bad, but next time I will ask for a second floor room. The mattress was a little dented, but still comfortable. By far, it is one of the best small size hotels I have recently visited. The breakfast was excellent and the bedding was very firm. However, the shower water-control knob was not working properly and the shower grab-handle screws came out of the wall. Besides that, I will stay again.

This hotel was convenient, clean, breakfast was yummy, and we had a great time; inspite of the reason (funeral). I even forgot some jewelry (and since I was in the area) and went back to find out that the room service staff had saved it in a bag along with some thongs I forgot! Staff was friendly and helpful I would definitely stay again :)

We had 3 rooms here when we came down to the cemetery which is close by. Wonderful rooms with fridge, microwave and couch.. Made it easy to visit in one room .. But also good places to visit by pool. My little grandsons really enjoyed swimming and the great breakfast!! Loved the pancake machine! Very pleasant stay!

Hotel staff was outstanding from the time we called to confirm to the time that we checked out. Check in and check out were short and sweet. Room was large, quiet and very comfortable with King bed, sofa, and great TV with cable. Internet was quick and easy to set up and fast while in use. Restaurants nearby. Would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel is clean and has a great staff. The big problem is if you are in a 1st floor room, be prepared for lots of noise from above. There was a large family above us with an infant and they were up all night. The floors squeak really badly, so aside from the normal walking and banging, the floor noise was unbearable. Over priced compared to nearby hotels and for what you get.

This is the second time we've stayed in the Holiday Inn express in Santa Nella (GPS still can't find it except in Gustine.) From the street this looks like any other two story motel. From the lobby, you start to get a different impression. Fast accurate service here. We got to our parking spot and did have to go through a metal security gate with our […] key. But that made us feel safer that not just anyone could walk on the grounds at night. We were upstairs in the middle of the building. The room was clean, looked a little dated, but had the nice double sheets over the blanket and a small colored throw at the foot of the bed. Four pillows gave us lots of choices and the bed was super comfortable. Everything was clean and nice, with blackout drapes to keep the light out in the morning, yet let the AC run without blowing draperies around. The shower had an S curve to raise the head up higher so us taller guys can get wet all over. The refrigerator actually chilled our drinks and we found pepsi in the vending machine, nice. The best part was breakfast. A new automated pancake machine made my wife two fresh pancakes, while I helped myself to an omlet, bacon and a nice hot cinnamon roll. There was fresh fruit, biscuits and gravy, hard boiled eggs, cereal, toast, rolls and juice and yogurt. Great way to get a hot breakfast and be on the road with some protein in your tummy. A complimentary USA today at the front desk made the trip go just great. When we're flying down I-5 and need a reasonable, nice place to spend the night, this is our go to place. A great place to stay when traveling I5. Close to I5 but very quiet. Excellent beds. Nice courtyard garden with a large pool and the chirping sounds of many happy birds. And the breakfast includes biscuits and gravy coupled with ham and eggs.

A comfortable room with many amenities. Not really a "destination spot", but the hotel has a beautiful pool and spa plus BBQ area that could be used for a large get-together. The breakfast was fresh with a good selection. Centrally located in Calif. We would recommend this hotel if you need a place to stay to break up a long drive.

The walls were thin- I heard my neighbors televisions both nights I was there. So much so that it woke me up one night when they put it on. Other than that, it was a nice place to stay-very happy with the breakfast, room, location and everything.

The hotel was clean and the beds extremely comfortable. The room had all the amenities - fridge, tea/coffee. My kids enjoyed the larger than average pool which was in a nice setting, as was the layout of the hotel. Breakfast was good, again with a wide choice of food and the eating area was spacious. During our stay in the USA we stayed in 16 different […] locations and this was definitely one of the best. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and would stay there again. Chosen for the I5 location, this establishment was just as expected, except that the room was larger. We had none of the reported problems with pool noise, despite the fact our room was very near and there were people there when we went to bed and again when we got up. They were very quiet and considerate. We took the advice of another reviewer and […] asked for a room away from the compound entry gates. No problem with the rooms on either side, BUT, in a downstairs room, the ceiling seemed to be coming down when people walked upstairs. These people were not partying or making any unnecessary moves, but this part of the construction seemed definietly lacking. Also, after that loss of sleep, it was 9:20 when we went for breakfast....and it had been cleared away. These were our only two disappointments. Nice hotel, very clean. Great stop to break up a long drive to So Cal. Santa Nella is definitely set up to accomadate the road weary traveler.

Very clean, great staff, breakfast was good.

Our Room was directly beside the back entrance and beside the pool facility so it was to loud to open the window. The AC in the room was also very loud. The room, the pool and even the chairs in the breakfast room were dirty. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

I would recommend this hotel but make sure you specify you don't want to be near a room with dogs or near a security gate prior to checking in. The hotel was clean and nice but our room was by the outside door kind of a security door. For convenience it was great but all night that security gate would slam shut and wake up us and our baby. The hotel […] also allows dogs which is great. We didn't have a dog but the room next to us did and the dog was barking all night. I don't know if it was barking because of the gate slamming or what? Needed a place to stay over between travel, not many options in the area, but this was a relief!! The area is average, but the rooms were clean and inviting. Kudos to the staff!

This hotel, location, price and all of the experience were much better than other stops between Oregon and Bakersfield. We love the way the room entrances face the center area of the complex making it much quieter and more peaceful. The staff was professional and easy to work with.

The Holiday Inn Express in Santa Nella is located a couple of blocks away from busy I-5 and does not suffer from any road noise. In addition, the hotel is designed so that the walkways, front doors and room windows face into a central courtyard, in effect "turning its back" on the freeway and noise. No complainants. Nice remodeled room and nice breakfast. The only irritations was the fact that the hotel pool/spa closes at 10pm. We checked in 5 mins before that and had to miss out. Other than that it was comfy and quiet.

We stayed at this hotel on our way to a campground. As just a stopover, the hotel was vey much sufficient. Hotel staff were more than decent, too.

Its not the nicest place I have been, but I wasn't looking for a vacation destination. It was clean and in good condition, had enough room, beds were comfortable, and it was close to the freeway. It was everything I was looking for, and very reasonably priced.
