"Very Good Quality For the Price"
I chose this hotel due to the reasonable price and its location on freemont street. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the rooms have been recently remodeled and have a sleek, modern look. Our room was very clean and comfortable, my only issue was we did not have an iron or ironing board in the room. I wasn't sure if this is standard in all rooms […] or just happened to be missing from ours. But in overall comfort an look, this was definitly one of the nicer rooms ive stayed in in vega. I loved the location, we were able to enjoy the casinos and nightlife on freemont without having to worry about driving or getting a cab. This is definitly an adult only location, as there arent any real ammenitied for children. Overall I thouroghly enjoyed my experience here. Lisez la suite
"Not impressed"
Stayed here because of hearing of a major renovation, but was disappointed. New floors in lobby area and food court area, but otherwise, casino looks the same, and rest of the hotel shows its age. Rooms are very large, but no closets and just a small area to hang clothes. Toilet and Tub are in a separate room so small they only have about 4 1/2 sq ft […] of floor space. One of the bedside lamps wasn't working, reported in person to front desk, but it was never repaired and the next guest will have to deal with it. Not a horrible experience at all, just not what I had hoped for. I will probably avoid staying there in the future. Lisez la suite
awesome but really no coffee maker thats not cool
"Close to Freemont Steret"
Have often stayed at the Plaza. Rooms have been updated and are super. Good food and entertainment on site. Right at the end of old town. I'll be back!
The hotel room was clean. Self-Parking was convenient. I enjoyed the stay at the Plaza, Las Vegas.
"MBA level audit: Plaza poorly managed"
This business is poorly managed and deserve a 1.5 out of 5 stars. Nobody managed the front desk because an average hotels would make an effort to find 2 rooms with a connecting door when requested; this unprofessional staff didn't even make an effort. Nobody managed the architect. The design of the room allowed for direct line of sight between the front […] door and the shower. The lamp on the head table was operated by the wall switch whereas the lamp on the TV table had a switch on the lamp itself (usually, it's the opposite). Nobody managed maintenance, the shower had severely limited water flow. Nobody managed supplies and acquisition, the soap was the smallest of the about 50+ hotels I've experienced. Nobody managed housekeeping, there was a leftover face towel on top of the shower curtain. On day #2, my wife and I visited my parent's room just before the 4 of us exited together to explore Downtown Vegas. In Spanish, 1 housekeeper rudely said to another, “there's 4 guest in that 1 room (house rules allow 2 per room);” they should realize that nowadays some guest may be fluent in Spanish without looking Latino. On day #3, housekeeping removed the “Do Not Disturb” sign on my parent's door and attempted to enter their room (I believe they were trying to audit the number of guests/room). There is no additional safety chain lock on the door. My freaked out parents called us on the cell to intervene. They earned 1.5 stars because of good, but not great location. Lisez la suite

"Nice place"
They need to fix up the basketball court and tennis court not to nice to look at. Over all a nice place to stay.
"Renovation"
It's nice. The Golden Nugget is easily the nicest casino in the downtown area, or all of Vegas in my opinion and the Plaza would be a distant second. The renovations from 2011 are a good thing, but they certainly did not go all out. For the price, it's more than fair.

"Overall, good experience."
Nothing wrong with the room except the key reader wouldn't want to let me in from time to time. The soap that is provided is way to small to shower with. I ended up spending longer showering that I was used to. Good location.
"Nice rooms"
My stay at the plaza was excellent...... They had very nice room and the service was great had no problems i would stay there again and refer others
"Not the Hotel for Sleep"
While the price point for this hotel was low in comparison to other hotels in Vegas, it was not worth the price. The hotel is next to a plaza where bands play continuously from 9:00 pm to 2:00 am every night. There was absolutely no solace, quiet, or rest to be had while in the room. The hotel staff was very slow in dealing with guests at the check […] in line. The hotel does not have WiFi regardless of any ads to the contrary. Choose another hotel unless you are in Vegas to party 24/7 for the duration of your stay! Lisez la suite
I was very impressed with the transformation from what I remember it was like before the renovations. The last time I stepped into this hotel was in 2010, just to play at the casino and it was under some renovations at that time. I found the registration area to be very tastefully decorated and the check in staff were very friendly and quick.. There […] was a slight problem with the room she initially gave us as it was not facing Fremont St. I went back to the front counter and it was discovered she had put the wrong room number down by mistake. All was fixed very quickly and we were very happy with the accommodations. Lisez la suite
"room (without the view)"
I paid extra for with a view, and was charged for it but was not given that room
"The New Plaza Hotel"
Wow the remodel on the Plaza hotel and casino is outstanding. We were so delighted to find the hotel so clean and nicely decorated. Every employee was friendly and helpful. We will be staying here again.
"Great newly renovated hotel"
We have stayed here a few times before the renovation and it really showed it's age. But after the renovation, the room layout is still the same but much cleaner and nicer, tho' the bathrooms could have been bigger. They also have great restaurant downstairs in the lobby. Overall, I think that we will be staying here again in the future.
"Weekend @ The Plaza"
The Plaza can't be beat in downtown Las Vegas, ok,, maybe by Golden Nugget but The Plaza has come a long way since last year's overhaul and more so by buying all the decor from the never- opened Fontainbleu , I tell you, this hotel is a great deal every time I visit Las Vegas and my mandatory stop in its downtown area. The casino is very clean with […] good limits, the food choices is fine, the pool is neat and the rooms are great ! I haven't had a chance to dine at Oscar's but I will in my next trip, the place looks soooo good and the view of Freemont street is just great . I usually try different hotels every time I visit Las Vegas but I always end up staying at least one night at The Plaza. Lisez la suite
"Good and Bad - May stay again if price is right."
Stayed 2 nts after 2 nts at Mandalay Bay for golf trip. Wanted a taste of the downtown atmosphere. GOOD - Casino small, but clean / Oscar's Steakhouse - Excellent Filet Mignon / Location - not bad at end of Fremont Street. Hash House a Gogo had good breakfast. BAD - Room flooded first night - were given a different room. Elevators, Parking area, Pool […] aren't so great. Overall - Not bad. Flood hopefully just a fluke. It's not the Golden Nugget, but probably would stay again if the price is really good. Lisez la suite
"great bargain excellent service"
I was very satisfied. I would stay there again.
"Do NOT stay here"
It was such a horrible experience I had to cancel after 1 day and get Hotels.com to book me in a real hotel. Customer Service was bad, the room was dirty, the bathroom was beyond tiny, there was NO closet at all, the extra money for a view was of their parking lot and railroad tracks. As a matter of fact, I was up extra early because the train whistles […] and clangs. In addition two of the lamps and the clock radio did not work. There was no outlet for the radio on the bed nightstand and only one outlet in the room besides the bathroom. All time worst stay. Thank goodness hotels.com was able to cancel and re-book me elsewhere. Lisez la suite

"great spot"
no problem with safety. only problem was when they took our toilet out because the guy didn't know what he was doing, and we had to change rooms. we laughed about it later. we will be staying here again in a few months.
"Always enjoy the Freemont Experience!!"
Stayed at the Plaza years ago... was even nicer than before!!
My only issue is that when I booked the rooms (3), two (2) of the three (3) I requested King beds. When we arrived there were none available. Why ask for a preference if they don't plan on giving you what you wanted.
"Good location"
It was a great location for old town Vegas
"Too bad they can't move the hotel"
The remodel is great at the Plaza, but unfortunately it is still located on Fremont street and the neighborhood is going downhill fast
"Near Fremont"
Hotel was very clean. Very close to fremont. Recememdef to other friends

"at the end of fremont street"
good hotel. nice location. Hash House A Go Go restaurant in the lobby is a must for breakfast. world famous Chicken n Waffles!!!
"Great place to stay for the money"
The rooms were very nice, but the beds & pillows were very FIRM which was hard for me to sleep on & they only have a blanket in between two sheets for bedding. The area we were in seemed to have plumbing issues... They moved us & tried to be as accommodating as possible. Just an inconvience to move rooms several times.... Staff was very nice though […] . "Gets better with each stay"
The more I stay here the more I enjoy the hotel and the Fremont Experience. The rooms are great with one weakness - the door between adjoined rooms. Get rid of them.

Nice room..music was very loud from Freemont St. but that is not hotels fault. Should ask for a room facing away if you want to sleep before midnight.
"Oscar's restaurant is The Plaza's gold!"
Only stayed one night but it wasn't bad. Room was clean and comfortable. Only problem was the construction noise (coming from a neighboring hotel) that made it difficult to sleep in....that's no fault of The Plaza though. We really enjoyed Oscar's Beef Booze and Broads. Don't let the name fool you- this is a classy joint with that old Vegas rat-pack […] feel. Beef: Food and service was excellent. Booze: Crafted cocktails add to the old school vibe. I had the Aviator (made with creme de violette) which I have to say was THE BEST cocktail I've had during my 20+ years of drinking! Broads: Beautiful girls roam through the restaurant and flirt with the guys. There was also a very talented singer (who was also a beauty) who was singing in the bar area...she had all of the men mesmerized with her sultry voice and sexy looks. Ambiance was amazing with panoramic views of Fremont St. I will definitely visit The Plaza again....if only for Oscars!! Lisez la suite
"Nice price for a nice hotel"
Can't beat the price!!
"Renovation was nice"
This is a great hotel if you want direct access to Freemont Street. It is not one of the gigantic hotels on the strip but for the money it is a good stay. Check in was REALLY slow but besides that everything was well worth the money. I would stay here again.
"great room and hotel"
room was great for the price. but it was a bit too noisy because of the late night concerts on freemont street.
"nice location"
It is right at the Fremont Street Experience. Very convenient location for everything.
"Nice hotel for the price"
I just stayed here for the first time and was satisfied with the hotel for the price I paid. I prefer the Strip Hotels but of course they are pricier and I was on a budget for this trip. The hotel was remodeled last year with nice updated amenities and beds. The staff was courtious except they could use another desk clerk during peak check in hours […] to avoid waiting in a long line. But in their defense, I've seen this in almost all Vegas hotels. Even the expensive ones. I had one problem with the room itself which was it had a cigarette smoke smell when I check into it. I immediately called front desk and they switched to a different room on a different floor. That room was great. So my advice is that since this hotel (like a lot of hotels) have turned the smoking rooms into non-smoking rooms for cheaper fire insurance rates plus more and more people don't smoke, make sure you ask during check in that you are given a room that was never a smoking room in the past. The only other advice I can give you is ask them for a North Tower room. The reason being that if you're put in the South Tower, you have to walk through the entire casino and zig-zag past 1,000 slot machines before getting to the elevator. That can get old when you plan on going in and out of your room many times during your stay. If you stay in the North Tower, the elevators are only about 30 feet from the main entrance. Enjoy your visit! Lisez la suite
"reasonable updated hotel"
The hotel was recently remodeled, very updated, and clean. Mcdonalds and subway great for the kids, however, they were disapointed that the arcade was taken out for a future resturant. Check in and out took forever!!! They need more than one person at the desk. Didnt like the idea that the hotel wanted $20 per night to have a fridge in our room.
"Great renovated hotel in downtown Las Vegas"
Loved this hotel. it was our first time staying in old downtown Las Vegas. Two great restaurants at The Plaza, Oscar's Steakhouse and Hash House A Go-Go. Both are amazing.
McDonald's and Subway in the Hotel was overpriced and pool closes super early 5pm or 6 pm I think it was. Other than that I thought the Hotel was Nice, clean and comfy. I saw some of the Hotel rooms over at Golden Gate, and was super glad we did not stay there. The rooms are tiny and its under construction.
