the hotel is beautiful, but they do nickel and dime you to death. parking is expensive, internet is extra by the day, they even charge you for a bottle of water. There is nothing complimentary, that you may find with other large chain hotels.

Everything was good, but it seemed overpriced for the room/accomodations we received. Our "riverwalk view" suite saw much more of the city street than the riverwalk itself.

While the hotel was lovely, and we loved the patios that overlooked the riverwalk, the parking options were limited. It was a real bummer to pay that much $$ to valet (other options were even more expensive if you wanted to come and go). Also, wish the pool had room for more lounge chairs. Still, it was a very nice place to stay.

Could walk to everything, nice view of fireworks (if you happened to get the riverview room). Balconies were very small, room was small, overall we were not all that impressed. Billing was a mess!!! And when they told me they'd comp my room because the shower was so messed up and soaked all my clothes, shoes etc. as I was getting ready for New Years. […] They really didn't give me but half of the value. Would have to get a really good deal to stay at this hotel . Certainly wouldn't pay their asking price again. Lisez la suite

The hotel was impressive and very well kept; staff was easy to deal with. It was the perfect location to walk around downtown San Antonio and the Riverwalk and made for a fun and easy stay.

Very Nice Hotel and is pet friendly. Very clean. Professional and nice staff. Great food for room service although pretty costly. Location a bit far from the main River walk sights-long walk. If you like quite and low key, great place to hide out. Love the quite bar and outside area. Massage was great at the Woodhouse Day Spa--- although a jacuzzi would […] have made it complete. Nice and clean hotel but I wish the hotel is newer

The hotel was stunning and the Christmas decorations were breathtaking. As we drove up to the front entrance the bell boys rushed out to help us with our luggage. We felt like celebrities and were treated like royalty. Friendly-aim to please- service all around. Zocca, the Italian restaurant on the Riverwalk Level was 5 star- the best steak I have had […] in a long time. We didn't have to walk a mile or wait for an hour outside. It was like being home for Christmas, the ambiance of the hotel was so cozy and warm. The hotel is a bit older but they have kept it up well. I would go back again and my kids want to return with their friends. I told all my coworkers what a great Westin experience we had. We just return from spending the weekend in this hotels. The rooms are nice but the way the hotel charges is messy. I had already paid in full and now i am being charged the same amount twice on mine credit card. This is horrible i called the hotel but it has not being resolved yet.

We stayed at the Westin for one night. We got a discounted king balcony room overlooking the river. The discount made it worth it, for full price I think it would be a little too expensive for what it was. Everything was beautiful and clean. The staff were amazing, kind and very helpful. They went above and beyond to help us, and answer any questions. […] Also it was nice that after we checked out at noon we were able to leave our car in valet and our luggage in storage all afternoon. That made everything so simple. The location is WONDERFUL. We enjoyed having a relaxed and quiet breakfast right on the riverwalk in the restaurant downstairs. It is located on a quiet natural area of the river. Away from the noise and crowds a little ways down the river. Very fancy and enjoyable. Just amazing. I will never forget it! Lisez la suite

Everything was perfect! Exquisite hotel with very warm personable staff. Will absolutely stay here EVERY time I visit SanAntonio! Just FYI...don't give your debit card for incidentals...they typically hold double the amount (in my case they did) and we spent a good bit Soooo, it may cause you problems for a few days until they release those extra held […] funds. I've stayed at several hotels on the riverwalk & this was a bit over priced for the size of the room. Guess the mini bar access makes a difference regardless if u use it or not. But overall, it was okay.

Clean room, Courteous staff, Comfortable location. On the "River walk" but not on the crowded section. A quiet drinking and dining area of Westin on the river walk. Great place to spend the late evenings and night. Would stay again. Beware, the valet parking is $30/day. Does anybody know why the water bottles in the room have to be sooo expensive?? […] $5 for 1 pint Lisez la suite

Our stay at Westin was very average. The staff was above average, but the Hotel itself needs attention. The entrance and foyer were beautiful but our room was another story. The carpet was dirty, the shower had mold and the location of our room 7th floor balcony was terrible. We were right next to a busy street so we could not use our balcony or open […] the door for air also the 7th floor looked directly into an office building.Quiet end of the Riverwalk means a long walk to the center of the action. With the price we paid I had higher expectations,as I stated the entrance was beautiful , restaurants were good, bar was good but expensive and the staff was very professional but the rooms and location another story.No free internet service in rooms there is a charge for that, they do have a business center that you could get your boarding passes no charge but you pay for internet service.. I enjoyed the location of the Westin Riverwalk. Labor Day weekend was a very busy place in San Antonio, so it was nice our hotel was just outside of the busy part of the Riverwalk. Our hotel room was nice, (good size and layout) the view was nice from the 5th floor, it was a little on the humid side in the room but it was tolerable. we enjoyed the hotel very much..it was clean, comfortable, the staff was excellent..it is within walking distance to everything.. we parked our car and did not use it until ready to leave. everyone was so friendly and helpful..we will definitely stay there again..had lots of fun..great food

Great place to stay! The 'Heavenly bed', the double headed shower, the kindness of the whole staff, and of course Zocca Restaurant's food, bartenders (JoJo, Genevieve, and Jaime), made this business, pleasure, and escape-from-hurricane-Irene trip outstanding. Will be staying again next year.

My family and I wanted to treat ourselves to one last trip before school started and decided on the Riverwalk. We booked with the Westin as it seemed to be the most for our money. We got a double bed room with a small balcony for a one night stay and for the money we paid I really thought it would be nicer. We had to ask for a key to the mini bar because […] one was not provided at check in. The room was very small for it to hold four people. The hotel doesn't offer any sort of parking pass, so you have to park acorss the street and pay each time you leave and come back. Got to be pretty costly as we went sight seeing both days. Overall the hotel was nice, but I think we might try the Hilton next time. Lisez la suite

This was a great girl getaway!! Thoroughly enjoed the hotel, staff was great and atmosphere and ambiance was superb! I would definitely stay again! It was so perfect that we could just walk to the riverwalk, and many other places.

This hotel is in an excellent location within walking distance to everything yet in a relatively quiet section of the Riverwalk. I have visited San Antonio many times so I am familiar with many of the area hotels but this was my first stay at the Westin. My travel companion and I arrived at around 9pm on a Friday, the valets and doormen were exceptionally […] friendly and courteous (though there was parking to be had in the covered garage across the street). When we arrived at check-in, however, the clerk behind the desk was more than cold. I have never experienced a less friendly hotel clerk. She did not offer directions to the elevators (and we did, in fact, get lost on our way to the elevators since there are two sets near each other), she did not clarify any booking details in regards to one bed or double beds, she was simply cold and, dare I say, snotty. Our room was very clean, the Heavenly bed was extraordinarily comfortable and the linens appeared not only fresh but relatively new. The shower head that is advertised as so incredible had my companion and I split; I'm a woman and I found it nothing special, he found it incredible, so YMMV. We ordered room service from the late night menu and were promised delivery in 30 minutes. It took triple the amount of time, and upon speaking with other people at the hotel around the same time, they experienced similar problems that weekend as the hotel was filled to capacity. Still, that is unacceptable, particularly when the late night menu is simply a few desserts, drinks, and pre-made items. Overall, the hotel is lovely and in a great location, but most Riverwalk hotels are. For the prices that you pay here, you want nothing less than very friendly service (the rate I paid was not discounted that much) from all hotel employees, and you certainly expect quickie food to arrive in less than 90 minutes. I will likely look at other hotels in this area and price range on my next visit. I will also talk with friends who trave Lisez la suite

This hotel was fine, but it seemed that there was not enough staff to accomodate the guests. Although the staff was very friendly, we waited for 45 minutes for a bellman at checkout. The valet was a debacle! We waited for over 30 minutes every time we needed our car, despite calling several minutes ahead, as did everyone else. We recently 8/5-8/7 stayed at the Westin hotel on the riverwalk and everything was absolutley wonderful and we will return on our next visit to San Antonio which will be in December.

This hotel was in a great location and was definitely worth the money! We had great, friendly service and were even upgraded to a balcony room. Don't pay to valet though because you can park yourself right across the street for half the price of valet!

We stayed here last weekend and we loved our time here. We will be back and this will be our hotel to stay at.

Hotel location was great only a few blocks from Alamo, Farmers Market & Riverwalk Mall. I enjoyed that it was on the Riverwalk itself & all we had to do was go out the back doors of Hotel to get to the Riverwalk. All the employees at the Hotel were very helpful. I took my girl scout troop there on our end of the year trip. It was convient to some really nice restaurants on the riverwalk. The girls loveddddddd the view from our balcony. The view at night was even better. The building next to us had a flag flying and it was gorgeous. The only thing is don't accidentally drink the expensive water in the room. […] haha I was used to free water from the gaylord and nope this water wasn't free. lol Lisez la suite

Short walk to Alamo and San Fernando Cathedral. Self parking across the street. Westin restaurant is top notch and reasonably priced. Room has locking safe for your valuables. River walk boat tour goes right past Hotel but is worth taking to learn history of San Antonio. Room A/C works great and is very quiet.

This hotel is beautiful and very luxe. It does have very small balconies that overlook a quiet area of the riverwalk. The location is not close to all the shops and cafes, but it is beautiful and very peaceful.

The hotel was what we were looking for. It was very comfortable , convenient, and accommodating. Everyone was attentive to our few needs. The only problem I had was that they didn't offer a free breakfast for the price of our room. but other than that, it was great. Great city for a historical pursuit!

This was my family's 1st time staying here and we enjoyed it. Check-in was a little hectic even though we checked in at 6 p.m. We valeted even though it was $30/night but we didn't have to wait long to get our car. We left some very important things in our car and they were still in there. Nothing but good things to say about this hotel.
