Oxford Suites Portland - Gladstone - Gladstone

I will stay again. I go to the Portland every 2-3 months and have stayed at different places. I think i have found the best. Rooms were big and comfortable. Great breakfast. Inside pool. PETS OK, enough pillows on the bed. The bad news is, in the back where we walked the dog there were questionable people staying down in the bank.

This is a terrific choice if you want to have close access to the freeway and things to do. The staff are very helpful and friendly, too. The breakfast was made to order and included in our stay. We loved the comfortable beds!

THE WEEKEND AT THE HOTEL WAS VERY ENJOYABLE. APPRECIATE THE FRIENDLINESS OF THE STAFF.. RESPECTFULY

Hotel was clean, neat and staffed with friendly, helpful folks. The comp. breakfast and happy hour were excellent. Pool and hot tub were clean and very nice amenities. Computers easily accessed. Location of rooms with river view was great; also grocery store a few steps away. This was my second stay here and we would come back.

The location was exactly where we needed it. We enjoyed the view of the river from both our room and the pool. The staff was friendly and they made the eggs to order at the complimentary breakfast. And I was able to sleep without that nagging sleep disturbance when I have the fear of sleeping in until past checkout which was the convenient noon hour. Look […] forward to staying again. We had Crystal at the front desk and was extremely helpful. We booked it on Hotels app on the iPhone just minutes of getting there. We pretty much screwed up the way we did it since it was the first time using the app but she was great about fixing things and getting us and our five small children into the room. Best part was the free bottles of water […] and chocolates. Who could argue with that? Only con is how short the breakfast was (6-9am). We don't even wake until 8am. But that's just us. This is the second time I have stayed at this hotel, and both times I have been completely satisfied. My family live nearby, so it is convenient for me. If you are planning to do any activities in the downtown Portland area, this hotel may be too far out for you. I do like that they have free parking, free breakfast and social hour complete with free […] wine or beer. The hotel is not near any restaurants, though there is a Safeway grocery store next door. If you wish for a hot sit down meal, you will need to drive. There is no airport shuttle, which would be a big plus as I don't generally need a car with it being so near to my family who I recruit to drive me around when visiting. I hate having to ask my family to get me to my early morning flights when I leave. It would be very convenient if I could just request shuttle service. I would be happy to even pay a small fee. The rooms are clean, the beds comfortable and most of the rooms have views of the river from their private patios. Each room comes equipped with an iron, ironing board, extra blankets, temperature control, hair dryer, 1-cup coffee maker, microwave, small fridge, TV with cable, DVD machine and nice toiletries. The folks who work here seem genuinely happy to be here and I've never had a negative experience with any of them. The only downside to this place is it can be loud if you are on the end of the hotel that is nearest the freeway. I would also suggest an upper level room because you can hear all of the footsteps if anyone is above you. Other than this, I would highly recommend this place to anyone who plans to be in the Gladstone, Oregon City or Clackamas area. Lisez la suite

The price was very reasonable, the staff were very helpful. The room was clean, save an odd mark on one of the walls. The breakfast was alright- not stellar, but at least they had some real food and not just danishes. My only complaint was that my room had an adjoining room. Exceptionally nice hotel in a peaceful setting - very relaxing. One of best places we have stayed at. Great view of river. Freeway close to hotel but noise level minimal. Breakfast buffet very well organized and arranged . One minor suggestion - Larger cups (mugs) for the in- room coffee maker.

We were happy overall with the hotel. We used both the pool and gym facilities and were more than happy with the quality and cleanliness of both. We weren't too impressed with the hotel room itself, however, as we found the layout of the room to be a bit odd. We paid extra to get an executive suite (separate bed area) but as soon as we opened the hotel […] room door, we were in the bedroom area, along with the bathroom and separate sink. Very nice hotel !!! Location is good except is to close to the highway but if your window is closed you dont notice it. Breakfast is OK and you get compimentry drinks and appys in the evening. Staff is very helpful and next door to a safeway. Restaurants is a 5 min drive. Pool & hot tub are great.

The staff was friendly and help-ful. Very quite, that was nice, balcony overlooking the river was cool. Safeway was conveniently located. Good access to computer and printer, coffee was good.

Everything was great. Only problem it was very close to the freeway . Our room had a lovely view of the river but could not keep the patio door open due to the freeway noise. Closed doors deafened the noise so it was barely audible. Otherwise this is a great place. The breakfast was wonderful and evening reception very nice.

I enjoyed the pool, 24 hour gift shop, wireless internet access and the nightly complimentary reception with snacks and beverages and the complimentary breakfast. The bed was just a bit firm, but on the other hand I really like the shampoo,conditioner and soap dispensers in the shower much better than bar soap and tiny bottles.

It was a great stay. Everything and everybody were great. The only caveat was eating out. There are NO decent restaurants close by. Otherwise it was wonderful.

Oxford Suites @ Gladstone was clean, quaint and full of unexpected treats. When we checked in late in the afternoon the helpful woman at the front desk gave us tickets for free drinks and snacks to be served later that evening next to the lobby. We each were treated to 2 cocktails (wine, beer or soft drinks) and there was a nice buffet of veggies and […] dip, and cheese and crackers. The room itself was clean and it overlooked the nice river that runs along the back of the hotel. Although the traffic beyond the river was very noisy it was still a nice view. If we had more time we would have made the short trek down the slope to check out the river from the rocks below, as we had seen other people do. Despite the volume of the traffic, the sliding glass door on the patio kept out the noise incredibly well. The free breakfast the next morning was great, too. We did check out the hot tub, which was good fun. Overall the hotel was nice and clean, which is a big deal for me. Everything smelled fresh. It was conveniently located near lots of restaurants and it was even shared a parking lot with Safeway. I'd stay here again. It was well worth the money. I was as happy here as I was with the two different Hyatt's we stayed at in Seattle, which were way more expensive. Lisez la suite

We stayed there for our honeymoon for 3 nights. Was very impressed with the hotel, staff and the wonderful breakfast and snacks in the evening. If anyone ever needs a hotel in this area you need to check this hotel out. Highly recommended.

Clean and affordable we stayed here rather than downtown. It was a Sunday night, so there was no managers reception- some cookies or other snack would have been nice. Average service, no complaints. I'd stay here again.

I originally booked this hotel because the pictures on the website were very nice, it was very conveniently located between our friend's home and the place where her graduation was taking place, and the ratings we great for the price range I was looking for. it looked like a steal. But in the end I was pretty disappointed. The outside of this hotel […] was very nice looking. When we arrived to check in we were told that the hot tub was out of service which was a huge disappointment since that was one of the things I was excited about taking advantage of. The hotel description said that there was a river view from the rooms but what they failed to mention was the busy freeway that was located just beyond the other river bank. A very loud freeway. So if you open the door you would not be able to hear anything. The mattress was hard and pillows were overstuffed which made it very hard to sleep without a craned neck. I will give them some credit because the room was laid out nicely and the decor was nice. When I booked I was told the room would have a bed and a seperate sitting area. that was not the case. The chair was right next to the bed. I have to say though the chair in our room was suede and leather and pretty much the most comfortable thing I've ever sat in. I should have just opted for sleeping in the chair instead of the bed. We have stayed in a lot of hotels over the years and the bare minimum basics that hotels provide are shampoo, conditioner, soap and lotion. This hotel did not provide conditioner. Even though there was a lot that I didn't like there were two things that I really liked about the hotel that were unique. First, with each room purchased they provide tickets for a buffet in the mornings. It was not the standard cereal/granola/yogurt/donut kind. It had hot stuff too including biscuits and gravy, sausage, eggs, and fried potatoes. There were a lot of options. At first check in, hotel looked very nice and the front desk people were very pleasant. With that being said, Oxford Suites is doing reinavating rooms and when we got to our room to unpack, we could hardly talk because the room next door was being worked on...hammers, jack hammers etc. We ignored it for that afternoon thinking that when we came back […] they would be done....wrong. We woke up the next morning at 7:00AM to hammers and jack hammers. I couldn't believe the hotel would even consider putting someone right next to a room being worked on and I told them so. They did move us to another room so I couldn't stay mad at them, but I felt very disrespected that they didn't have these rooms on each side of the room being worked on blocked out. The site about 1. smoking facility, wrong. 2. .balconies all rooms, wrong. 3. beds were EXREMELY HARD. It's a beautiful setting with the freeway noise overbearing the river. Lisez la suite

We were visiting Oregon City, Or, and location was great. The motel was remodeling its rooms and did a nice job. We will stay there again!

The Oxford is clean, friendly and very close to Clackamas Community College, Clackamas Town Center Mall and the End of the Trail Interpretive Center. The free breakfasts and social hours are a plus. So are the pool and hot tub.

Our stay at the Oxford Suites was very comfortable and convenient in that we were provided with caring and informative hotel employees. The food was good and plentiful with variety. We were very impressed with the service, the accomodations and price. Thank you for an enjoyable and pleasant establishment. We stayed at this hotel mainly because it had an indoor pool for my son. The pool area is nice although they didn't always have towels available. The breakfast was good, and Starbucks is within walking distance. The room was nice but the bed was very hard! Not as close to Portland as I was hoping but it worked out for what we did. The motel is pet friendly […] and there are dogs around but it is clean and you would never know if you didn't see them. I would probably stay here again if in the area. Lisez la suite

The only negative I have to report is that when housekeeping cleaned my room, they didn't leave shampoo nor soap the 2nd night and I was depending on shampoo as I had used the first bottle...I have never seen this before as it's always been that they have left enough of everything....if this is cutting corners, we should have been informed of this, […] as I couldn't wash my hair and didn't have time to pursue a member of house keeping when I discovered this...I was already to jump into shower when this happened..... A very nice hotel. Good reception each evening with appetizers and wine/beer. Good free breakfast cooked immediately, not in heating bins. Staff responsive to request for Captioning on TV. Overall very nice. Price good, not what you would expect for such a nice hotel.

Check in staff were engaged--friendly and helpful. We were very pleased with the entirely non-smoking environment. Our room was super clean, quiet, and didn't reek of overused perfumed freshener. Our dog was welcome and we didn't suffer an inferior room for bringing him, which has often been the case at other establishments. The heating/AC unit worked […] well and was quiet. Excellent stay. Friendly staff. Great cooked to order omelet breakfast a nightly happy hour with free drinks from 5:30-9:30. Super deal.

The room was fine, but when I had called the hotel to see if there was a bar and dinning they said yes. Well if you like cold cuts, wine & beer of their choice. We drove to a near by chinese place to eat & they were friendly & so sweet. The hotel was not so friendly. so one was down in the free wine or beer either, so we went back to our room.

Although we were just staying overnight our hotel experience was very good. People were friendly and the room was very comfortable.

I was exhausted from a grueling business trip upon arrival and the desk clerk was extremely kind and helpful. The room looked beautiful, artfully folded towels, very clean. Location is easy on and off the freeway. I was very disappointed in the thiness of the walls, I could hear my neighbors voices and footfalls in the hall.
