Best Western Plus Hotel Tria - Cambridge

Hotel near a T station, so 30 minutes from center of Boston. Very good breakfast. Clean and good service. Only problem: Wifi-Internet too slow for Skyping.

The location was very convenient to Harvard Square, where we celebrated my husband's 40th birthday. After arriving at the hotel, we went next door to Whole Foods where we got some wine and cheese. We relaxed in our hotel room, then took the shuttle to Harvard Square. It was a brief walk to where we celebrated by husband's 40th birthday with family and […] friends. Following the party, it was a brief cab ride back to the hotel ($10). The following morning, we enjoyed a mediocre breakfast and then headed home. It was perfect for what we needed. Thanks! The hotel room was lovely. The cost was very reasonable. Breakfast included, with make your own waffles and hot items provided. The breakfast staff was a little slow with replenishing breakfast items, but it was a busy weekend. Free Internet. Comfortable bed.

The hotel was acceptable.. the building is showing signs of age and while very clean, somewhat dated. Most perturbing to me was a lack of a channel guide for the room, no ashtray in a smoking room. Additionally, they only have one ice machine in the whole building on the 2nd floor (my room was on 4). The included breakfast was good with good selection […] (eggs, sausage and potatoes, a self service waffle iron, juices, pastries and breads). The hotel is a few blocks away from a T (Alewife) stop, so access to greater Boston is nearby. Metro'ing to and from the airport costs 2.00 and takes about 45-60 minutes. What can I say - its a Best Western hotel. The room was decent - clean, relatively quiet. Breakfast was ok. The location was perfect for us visiting my daughter. Will definitely be going back there! I wish the bar was open later, but the bartender was accommodating when we caught her while closin.

Stayed at the best western plus on new years eve this year so I could enjoy a nice evening in Boston this year. I have to say this is a very nice hotel, the room was very neat and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect. The bar was very nice, the breakbeat was a nice experience, the man at the front desk was very helpfull in calling me […] a cab and giving me shuttle bus information as well. We chose this hotel because it was on the T, but far enough outside the city to be reasonable priced. It was definitely a good value. A shuttle ran regularly to the nearby station, and from there it was a 15 minute ride into the heart of Boston. The room was exceptionally clean, with a nice bathroom and great bed and TV. My one complaint would be that […] the door wasn't very sound-proof and our room was right off the elevator, so we heard just about everyone getting on and off. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We also enjoyed the amenity of a free billiard table in the lobby, which was a great way to unwind while killing an hour or two before check-out. This hotel is easy to get to and has an excellent staff and facilities. The price was reasonable also.

We live about 10 miles from this hotel and stayed there because we lost power for several days during an autumn snow storm. We were very pleasantly surprised to have a lovely 3-day stay here. Lovely hotel in a convenient location just outside Boston. Great for access to Harvard and the 'T'. Wonderfully helpful staff also. All round good value.

This is a clean hotel that has been updated but its still an older hotel. It is relatively over-priced for what you get but is a decent option with convenient shuttle service to Harvard square. The gym is miserably out of date.

I was disappointed to find the hotel not clean and very old in appearance, especially in light of the location. I wouldn't stay here again.

Spent two nights in the hotel wiht my Son, on college visits to MIT & Harvard. Overall, very good impression. Stayed four nights and was very satisfied with staff and accomodations. Driving to location can be a little tricky where as the hotel entrance is located right off a round-about and is easy to miss as we did on arrival.The free breakfast was very good with an asortment of eggs, waffles, fresh fruit etc. What I did like about this hotel is that the staff […] was constantly restocking breakfast items and quick to clean empty tables. Beautiful hotel, very nice room but terrible pillows. Also, hotel is "dog friendly" and we were awakened twice during the night by barking dogs. Breakfast was included and the best we've ever had at any hotel.

Excellent location and wonderfull accomodations and an expanded breakfast bar so celiacs can actually eat breakfast.

This hotel is a good deal and is in a good location with easy access to the Alewife T station (less than a 10-minute walk). The hotel is also surrounded by retail shops including CVS Pharmacy, Trader Joe's, Whole Foods (a great place to grab a healthy dinner from their huge buffet), TJ-Maxx, and even liquor stores and a movie theater. The hotel provides […] free shuttle service to Harvard Square in Cambridge (though you can also take the T). The hot breakfast buffet that's included with the room was a huge selling point for us--the building also has a Starbucks on site. The outside looks a bit drab, but the inside is surprising nice and comfortable. The staff is more than friendly. Enjoy.

I thought the front desk people, the van driver and the "breakfast guy" were all excellent--and those are all the staff I had contact with. They made it a pleasure to stay there. Also, being able to walk a few steps to Whole Foods was a huge bonus.

Great hotel in convenient location: 2 miles to harvard square, 5 minutes to alewife T. room was comfortable, and clean. food was decent. the chef was very friendly, and really nice, coming out to talk to guests and ask them how they liked the food etc. Definitely will go back.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel during our holiday in New England last month. The hotel room was spacoius, clean and well equipped . The staff were exceptionally helpful and courteous and the inclusive breakfast was an added bonus. People were welcoming. The breakfast area was always crowdy and the tables were not always clean. There was a good variety of food even fruits and cheese. Parking was not free but safe to leave the car a few days. The access by car is`a bit tricky.

Excellent choice for easy accessibility to Cambridge. My son and I were on a summer college tour with plans to visit Harvard and MIT. I chose this hotel initially because it was near the Alewife station so that we could easily take public transportation in to town and not worry about parking. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that the hotel provided […] a free shuttle that ran hourly to Harvard Square and back from 7:30 am until 9:30 pm. The ride was only 10 minutes. We were able to go to Harvard Square for a nice supper soon after we arrived and were able to explore a bit in advance of the college admissions session the next day. Although we just stayed the one night, the hotel allowed us to leave our car parked there (free) and take the shuttle in the morning on the next day, and caught it back to the hotel in the evening. A very well-stocked breakfast buffet (eggs, sausage, waffles, cereal, yogurt, juice, coffee...) is included. An adjacent Starbucks for hard-core coffee drinkers. Behind the hotel is a Whole Foods grocery for those who need to stock up on travel snacks. The only improvement would have been a mini-fridge in the room, but that is a small issue given the overall excellent stay. Price was considerably less than downtown Cambridge hotels. I think this hotel is the best kept secret in the Boston area. This is the second time I have stayed here and the convenience to all points Boston is incredible. Being a southerner, I am not used to the rotaries but quickly acclaimed myself to that frenzy! Wow, what a circus that was! We had a very nice two nights at Cambridge's Hotel Tria III, the Best Western near Fresh Pond. A great shuttle was available to Harvard Square and to the closest T stop, The breakfast was great. The newly re-furbished hotel sparkling clean. We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a reasonably priced, nice hotel in Cambridge. There was nothing remarkable either positive or negative about the hotel. Sometimes when traveling on business, predictability can be a plus. They do need a business office for printing and copying.

Hotel was undergoing construction. Staff was helpful and courteous. Felt it was a little overpriced given the construction and the area, tho' location was very convenient for my needs.

The hotel was much better than I expected. the rooms were super cute, all teh stuff looked brand new! there was also a flat screen tv. The location was perfect, we were a five minute walk to the subway, which took us right in to Boston. It was under some construction but there was no noise after three and since we were in Boston most of teh days we […] were there anyway, it didnt really bother us. This was a great little hotel. 子どもの大学見学のために、３泊宿泊しました。全体の雰囲気は３スターホテルという感じで、ゴージャス感はありませんが、リーズナブルな料金で、簡単な朝食も付いていて、ハーバードスクエアまで１時間に１便ですがシャトルバスがあるので、とても便利でした。ホテルのすぐ隣には、大型食料品のスーパーと、日用品のお店もあり、私たちは行かなかったのですが、通りの向こう側にもお店があり、水やちょっとした食べ物なども買いに行けます。 また、無料のおいしいコーヒーもいつでも飲めます。３日もいると、スタッフの人たちとも顔見知りになり、フレンドリーに話ができ、安心感のあるホテルでした。また、ボストンに宿泊する機会があるときには、このホテルを利用したいと思います。
