Nous occupions l'une des chambres à trois lits dont une partie se trouve en mezzanine, du coup deux télés et plus d'espace pour tous. Enfin la situation de l'hôtel est très intérréssante, quartier très vivant le soir pour budget sérré, petit déjeuner à la hauteur et accueil souriant.

Bonne impression générale en découvrant la chambre (propre, équipée) mais les matelas étaient très médiocres. Nous pouvions sentir les ressorts.De plus les murs étant très fins nous avons été un peu dérangé par les aller et venues dans le couloir. Quoiqu'il en soit, c'est un hôtel très correct, l'accueil est sympathique et le petit-déjeuner copieux. L'emplacement est idéal, à deux pas de Hyde Park et sur la ligne Centrale du métro. Il y a même le bus 390 direct qui circule même la nuit depuis Oxford Street.

en arrivant agréable surprise d'avoir une chambre surclassée !!!! 2 chambres, séjour, salle de bains dernier étage pour un couple : pas de bruit de voisins, pas trop de rue même si nous étions côté rue. comme beaucoup d'hôtels anglais l'entretien des chambres et bâtiment (peinture, moquettes etc..) est un peu laissé de côté, il ne faut pas être regardant... par contre draps fournis et serviettes, le tout propre. disposés sur les lits avec savons+shampooing. Franchement le personnel est sympa, l'endroit pour des touristes est impecc. Sans hésiter si je devais repartir sur Londres, je rependrai cet hôtel ou le conseiller à un couple /famille.

Accueil, très sympa, très pro mais impersonnel, cela ne va pas plus loin. Pas de mots d'accueil, pas de mot pour les visites. J'ai payé via internet, sans aucun problème. Il y a un gardien 24/24, donc pas de problème pour les clés. On est arrivés à 10h00 alors que chambres dispos à 14h00, ils ont gardé les sacs dans un local et quand on est revenus à ,18h00 les bagages étaient montés dans l'appartement, très sympa.....Situé dans une rue, très peu passante, mais qui donne devant un accès d'hôpital d'où partent les ambulances, et aussi un giratoire d'autobus.....donc c'est bruyant la nuit malgré le vitrage double. Ce n'est pas gênant plus que ça, mais tout de même cela fait un bruit de fond qui est tout de même là.....C'est appartement est très bien équipé, propre, les lits sont confortables, et il ne manque rien. Petit bémol, mais bon on fait avec, les SDB sont petites. Il y a des pubs juste à côté, un restaurant qui vend du pain juste en dessous à partir de 7h00, c'est pratique et très sympa. Le supermarché "Tesco" à 400 mètres n'est pas terrible, il faut aller à "Tesco" à côté de la station de métro de Saint Paul, les produits sont plus frais...! En résumé c'est un bon point de chute avec ses petits inconvénients. Mon avis sur cet hôtel est positif et correspond parfaitement au descriptif du site de "Hotels.com"

Ce quartier multiculturel animé, à la fois centre d'affaires et résidentiel, jouxte Hyde Park et les jardins de Kensington. Il propose une bonne sélection d'hôtels et de restaurants économiques ou de prix moyens. Vous pourrez faire les magasins à Queensway et Oxford Street. Les fameux musées du sud de Kensington se trouvent de l'autre côté de ses jardins. La gare Paddington Station dessert les villes de l'ouest de l'Angleterre, comme Oxford, Windsor, Bath et Bristol.

Hotel bien tenu situé au pied du métro Paddington. Quartier pas super. Chambre trop petite (il restait 20 cm entre le bord du lit et le mur ; on ne pouvait passer sans frotter le mur). "Mercure Paddington"
Tout simplement génial ! Nous somme partis pour un weekend de 4 jours en couple et tout était juste parfait ! Hôtel juste a la sortie de la gare, chambre parfaitement propre et ressemblante a la photo ! Paddington est une gare très bien desservie et donc hyper pratique ! "Hotel proche transport et très bonne qualité"
Nous avons passé 6 jours dans cet hotel en aout 2011. Très bonne qualité d'ensemble : acceuil (directeur nouvellement arrivé Francais), Chambre climatisée individuellement propre nettoyée tous les jours et bouteilles d'eau fournies aussi chaque jour, pas très grande mais juste comme il faut car on ne passe pas la journée dans la chambre, coffre fort […] dans la chambre, petite armoire et petit bureau. SDB aussi très propre avec grande douche, serviettes et produits inclus + séchoir à cheveux et PC rasoir norme Française. Petits déjeuner inclu dans restaurant attenant , super copieux typiquement Anglais (5 choix possible) + croissant + pain (3 au choix) + jus de fruit (2 au choix mais en bric) + fromage + fruit + confiture et café ou thé à volonté. Proposition par le concierge de nous acheter directement les billets pour les attractions ce qui évite les files d'attente, Hotel situé au pied du métro Paddington donc accès très facile au centre ville. Petits reproches (faut bien en trouver) : Internet sur TV payant (3 $ / h) et pas très pratique et peu de chaine TV et aucune en Francais. Hotel a recommander sans souci aucun. Lisez la suite
"Bon hôtel"
Hôtel bien situé, les chambres sont plutôt petites, mais confortables, propre. Le petit déjeuner continental n'est pas très varié et pas très riche et quelques fois le pain et les croissants sont pas de première fraîcheur, mais dans l'ensemble c'est très satisfaisant.

Bedrooms are very very small, TV didn't work, very hot and stuffy, hotel staff were awful not helpful at all, and the restaurant where breakfast/meals were served is even worse. Horrible experience. The hotel looks like it has all the gear but truly has no idea.
"Very close to Paddington station but a bit noisy"
The staff at Reception were friendly and efficient and my room was very clean if perhaps a little small. Definitely very handy location but did mean some traffic noise to contend with from a busy road.
"Nice and central"
We stayed in London for 3 nights with four grown-up children at this clean hotel. It was close to Paddington Station, had a friendly staff and was close to shopping-areas. Lots of nice pubs nearby too! Everyone was satisfied and we could recommend it to others.

"Convenient & Comfortable"
Perfect for those needing a nearby location to Paddington as the hotel is literally less than one minute away from the station. Very easy for the tube and mainline trains. Nice pubs around the corner and a Garfunkels for a quick easy breakfast. The hotel was clean and comfortable, location excellent.

Location is great however the rooms are too small for the price. The food is not good and it is over priced. There is not a business area or an area for using their computer The staff is friendly and accomodating.

Nice hotel, close to paddington station. Would recommend. Room was clean. Only downside is the rooms are fairly small, but ok if only stopping for a night or 2.

Handy location immediately beside Paddington Station. I had a room on the first floor and it was rather noisy - I suspect air con. 5 tube stops (easy change Baker St on adjacent platform) gets you to the Wolsey for their excellent breakfast!
"Mecure London Paddington - convenient but lacking"
The Mecure is extremely convenient being right next to Paddington station, great for getting around London and for the Express to Heathrow. The room was clean but very small. There's a wardrobe but again too small to store and open a large bag in, and with no where in else in the room to put it, not very convenient. The shower was terrible, no water […] pressure at all, making it impossible to rinse shampoo and conditioner out of your hair. Overall, it's convenient but next time I'll walk the extra block or so to the Hilton (with similar price and much nicer). Lisez la suite

"London Weekend"
Overall the hotel suited our requirements but if I was staying longer I'd have requested a larger room as the one we had a was "biJou" to say the least!!: this was my only complaint.
Good value for money and an extremely convenient location for travelers in London for a short while.

By far the biggest perk of this hotel is it's proximity to Paddington station, which makes it simple to get where ever you want to go via the tube, train, etc. It's also just a short walk from Hyde Park as well! (Don't expect huge rooms anywhere unless you're […] willing to shell out the cash) The traffic outside isn't too noticeable with the window closed, but can get a little noisy when you crack it open. Subway noise wasn't an issue on the upper floors, but I could see it being invasive if you're on the ground floor. The attached restaurant is fairly good as well. I had prebooked the room and arrived to find that the type of room requested and prepaid for was not available. The staff gave us an extra room to accommodate the three of us at no extra charge. Hotel is right next to paddington station so very convenient for traveling. lots of restaurants and pubs around for a meal.

About 30 steps from the entrance to Paddington Station, clean hotel with everything you need for a short stay. However, my room was TINY and would have been a nightmare with luggage, as it was the overnight bag took up all the available floor space.

Hotel was very clean and front desk very helpful on check-in. The lift was not working so just as well we were on the 1st floor. The room was small but clean and very hot, it was a good job the air conditioning worked as having the window open was impossible because of the traffic noise. We chose this hotel purely down to its location as its located so close to Paddington tube station. We got the room on the top floor which cancelled out the underground train noise. The problem was that the bed was extremely small as was the room.... The sink in the bathroom did not work, wifi cost over $15 for 24 hrs!!!!! "Excellent location - comfortable stay"
Three big things to know about this hotel: great location, small rooms, lots of street noise. However, the room, while small, was very comfortable and clean. Furnishings were in excellent condition, bathroom was spotless. Staff were friendly and helpful. Free wifi. The neighborhood had many food choices and you're across the street from Paddington […] station with Underground and National Rail Service connections. I would definitely stay here again. This is one of the worst Hotels that I have ever stayed in. It was located next to the train station that was under construction. Every morning the noise was defening and defied sleep. It is also located next to a Hospital and even though the windows opened, you dared not, due to the incessant sirens from the emergency vehicles. Not enough room for two people to be out of bed at the same time. we arrived at 1:00P.M. after a lengthly international flight only to be told that check in was at 2:00P.M. "Too small"
Rooms are too small to change your mind. I ended up sleeping with my suitcase because there was no space on the floor for it. Apathetic front desk staff seemed unconcerned that the Wifi (which I was paying for) didn't work for 1/2 of my time there. Not great for business travel.

"mercure paddington"
had trouble sleeping in the hotel because they start cleaning very early with loud vacumers, one of the days the fire alarm went off three times when we were trying to sleep. had a maintenance dude accidentally coming in to our room waking us another day.... check out time is early, normally it is twelve. would never recommend a hotel to anyone that […] wants to get sleep during their holiday! "Mercure Paddington great location getting around"
The Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly but the room must be the smallest double room I have stayed in ever. We could not walk around the room at the same time together just as well it was London and plenty to do outside of hotel and Paddington Station located just beside us. Just one warning the food in Garfunkels next door was awful

Access is perfect - right beside Paddington station. Food in the sarea is OK with a few decent choices. Only negatove is my room was SMALL but all things considered a good place and a good value.

This is a very clean hotel in a very convenient location if you are flying in to London Heathrow. Its a 20 minute ride on a train to Paddington Station which is one block from the hotel. The staff was very helpful and courteous. The room was very clean. It was small but a great value in the heart of London with convenient train and tube access.

"GOOD TO BE BY PADDINGTON"
This hotel is just across the street from Paddington Station and the Paddington tube line. It can be reached in 15 minutes from Heathrow by the Heathrow express, or you can go cheap and take the tube there from the airport. There are some very nice Italian restaurants close by. The train station has some good quick snack and meal places. McDonalds is […] next door and Burger King across the street. The only drawbacks are the smasll size of the rooms and the outside noise from being so close to the station. But the convenient location more than makes up for those drawbacks. Lisez la suite
"Great business spot"
The rooms were small but clean and the location is great, steps away from the Paddington train station and 4 tube lines. No free WiFi but the McDonalds next door and a couple of pubs with free WIfI.
