Hôtel agréable, petit déjeuner servit de 6h30 à 9h30 correcte (ne pas arriver trop tard), station de métro ( 39 Av ) à 3min à pieds qui vous mène en 9min à la 5ème Avenue. Chambre spacieuse et bien équipée.

Nous recommandons fortement cet hotel. Super vue sur manhattan, terrasse exceptionnelle sur les toits..fabuleux !!! les chambres sont très cosy, propres, vraiment rien à redire. C'était parfait. les alentours de l'hotel sont effectivement surprenants (zone industrielle) mais peu importe la qualité, le service, la vue nous font, tout de suite, oublier les environs. Même si nous ne sommes dans manhattan même, aucun souci de transport.....en 10 minutes grand max nous y sommes. c'est très bien desservi et en plus il y a une navette qui peut nous amener au centre de manhattan. Vriament nous recoomandons vivement cet hotel et si c'était à refaire nous y retournerons sans problème! c'est fabuleux !!!!
Faites une courte pause durant votre exploration de la ville pour venir déguster un délicieux sandwich au pastrami et une tranche de cheesecake au Carnegie Deli, véritable institution à New York, à seulement 2 minutes à pieds de l'hôtel. Venez brûler des calories avec un peu de marche ou un jogging dans le splendide Central Park, à seulement 4 rues au nord de l'hôtel. Faites une étape au zoo de Central Park dans la partie sud-ouest du parc et saluez les lions de mers accueillants. L'heure de Prenez la sortie à l'est du parc et vous vous retrouverez sur l'élégante Fifth Avenue.
Après avoir visité, fait les boutique ou avoir vu un spectacle, prenez le temps de souffler un peu dans le salon Twist Lounge de l'hôtel. Installez-vous dans un canapé à côté de la cheminée et dégusté un bon verre de vin ou un martini dans le bar à service complet. Prêt pour le dîner ? Des douzaines de restaurants, ouverts jusqu'à tard. sont facilement accessibles à pieds.
Même dans la ville qui ne dort jamais, vous voudrez dormir confortablement pour la nuit. Petites mais stylées les chambres proposent de lits plateformes recouverts de draps en lin blanc et de duvets en plumes. 1 : emplacement ideal, a deux pas de times square, de broadway et d'une station de metro. 2 : accueil excellent, le personnel est tres agreable et ils gardent vos bagages gratuitement quand vous partez si vous avez besoin de les laisser quelques heures. 3 : le style de l'entree et du bar est tres design, cosy. tout rouge, noir et acier. Les chambres […] sont beaucoup plus classiques mais soignees et la salle de bain tres moderne et apparement neuve. Vue sur les chambres d'en face mais en meme temps, on part pas a NYC pour regarder par la fenetre. 4 : par manque de clients dans l'hotel le jour de notre arrivee, nous avons eu la chambre plus grande que prevu. La situation géographique et l'amabilité du personnel sont à souligner. Hôtel en travaux lors de notre séjour, mais décoration design. La réservation effectuée mentionnait une chambre avec 2 lits doubles pour 6 nuits. Or, à notre arrivée, il y avait un lit double et on a dû nous installer un "extra-bed" (ceci pour 2 nuits) qui ne correspondaient pas […] à ce que nous avions payé. C'est dommage ! Lisez la suite

on était à cet hotel pdt l'ouragan Iréne! équipe du personnel très sympa, donnant des bons conseils et des gars fort agréables ambiance très agréable, confort correct, très arrangeant pour les chambres (on était 6 avec 2 chambres, ils nous en donnaient 3 pour le même prix!) à recommander et très très bien plaçé

Arrivés à l'hotel, chambre pour 4 non faite. On ns a proposé 2 chambres avec 1 grd lit. Pour les 2 autres nuits, rien à dire si ce n'est que l'hotel est en plein travaux et qu'il sera très agréable ds quelques mois.

Service de qualité, bon accueil (en arrivant on vous remet un petit guide de la ville avec des bonnes adresses - on a testé - et une carte de la ville), vous pouvez également demander à la réception des tickets […] pour les comédies musicales de Broadway (mais pas très bon marché...) Un cauchemar a notre arrivee dans cette chambre apres 11 heures de vol !! Hotel en cours de renovation et la chance n etait pas avec nous ; chambre vetuste, sale, situee au dessus du bloc clim de l hotel... donc tres bruyante!!! 2 serviettes pour 4 personnes ! bref pas l ideal pour se reposer apres des journees arrassantes passees dans cette ville ! The decor looks like a 70's pr0n film, in the room and out. My pillows were bedazzled and the lamps were pleather. I found it hilarious, but others might not. My main beef was with the hotel staff... I waited a long time to get checked in and even though my reservation was made well ahead of time, they had to scramble to find a room. It seemed fine when I got to my room , then had to go the bathroom when I flushed water came out everywhere!! Called downstairs they came an "fixed"it...so I thought till I came back that night an wouldn't flush again ! Also a fuse blew in my room as I was getting ready! Took 20 min for soMeone to come up an fix the toilet an electricity . I told them […] to leave the plunger because I knew I would need again . Rooms are cramped. I had (2) different rooms because the first night they put me in a room with nothing over the window except plastic blinds that were too narrow by 12inches and too short by 2 feet. With a construction site across the street with very bright lights. The staff was accommodating about changing rooms, but why would you ever put someone […] in a room like that. My room was the size of a shoebox. Also -- the front desk staff talked about me while I was standing right in front of them. They almost charged my credit card twice, someone had to intervene to fix the charge. The person with my card admitted "she didn't know what she was doing" which is not a reassuring thing to say in front of a customer. this is a nice small chic hotel close to all you want to see in times square/central park area, staff was very helpful and friendly, a coffee maker in the room would have been nice but not a deal breaker, we will go back and recommend it.

"Thumbs up for The Ameritania Hotel!"
I stayed at this hotel about 4 years ago, then returned just last weekend. I was eager to see the newly re-modeled hotel. I loved the modern updated look! It's in a great location. Not far from Central Park or Hell's Kitchen. It's real close to my favorite brunch/lunch spot called the EATERY on 53rd and 9th AV. Enjoy!

I was hesitant to book at this hotel b/c I read poor interviews, but I took a chance anyway...and I'm so glad I did. The room was clean, nice bathroom, flat screen TV. I would recommend using earplugs at night, but otherwise a good hotel if you get it for a discounted rate. Parking garage offers a special rate and less than one block away so you have […] to drop your luggage, then go park the car. This hotel was in a prime location only 5 blocks from Times Square. Hotel was so close to Times Square, Theaters, 5th Ave and lots of great resturants and 4 blocks to central park. There is a subway station close by as well. The room was small and it would be hard to stay there with more than 2 people, but my husband and I were ok. Very quiet room. Staff was exceptionally helpful, we were able to check in early and had our check out time extended as well. Rooms were clean and modern. Lobby was cheerful, with a breakfast bar by day and an adult bar by night. On our last day, our bags were held for no charge while we enjoyed one last lunch in the "Big Apple" before our flight home.

We (2 adult, 1 child) stayed at Ameritania one night. The room was good sized esp. for NYC. Furnishings were new and very nice. Location was great in midtown. Could not beat the price. Would definatley use this spot again.

If you're looking for a great location and price point in NY, don't look any further. I've stayed at my fair share of hotels in NY and this one is by far the best. An excellent place to stay, the room and en-suite shower was very impressive. Newly decorated and very modern and clean. I took my 13 year old daughter with me ( teenagers are hard to impress), however my daughter was thrilled. Staff were very happy to help, we had a great stay.I have already referred this hotel .

The location is great - right near the heart of Times Square. But it's down hill from there. The hotel is dirty, the rooms, despite being renovated, have old mattresses, old towels (which you may not need anyway - read on) and a smell that says "moth balls." After Checking in I went to take a shower before joining my friends at a local restaurant but […] surprise - there was no water in the hotel that night. When I called the front desk the manager snapped at me and said "there has been literature for 2 days stating that we will not have water here tonight." when I asked why it wasn't brought to my attention at check in OR when I made the reservation he simply hung up on me. I was going to stay in Chelsea, but the rates and hotels there were not half as nice as this one. The staff were quite helpful and ready to take care of my needs. The bed was wonderful. I want to know the name of that mattress maker for my next bed. It was very firm while having a soft top. The only drawback is that they were doing major construction […] of 2 new skyscrapers across the street, so either ask for a side room or ask to be on a high floor to keep the noise to a minimum. doormen are kind and helpful. the room needed new windows. they had done a complete restoration-renovation of the rooms yet forgetting to put new windows. The old ones let in noise, cold air, didn't close properly. the construction there is a nightmare. ask for a back room away from the street, high above, but then you'll be waiting for minutes on end […] for the slow elevators to make it up. it was cheap. it was located perfectly. it lacked proper over-viewing management. but they did their best to make my stay pleasant. there is no better hotel I found for that price.
