en arrivant, j'ai eu peur de la route bruyante, mais les chambres sont situées à l'arrière donc pas de problème.très bon ensemble: localisation, propreté, accueil.

"Halfway there!"
I stayed here recently as I was attending a function in the hotel. The hotel is well situated in the middle of Oswestry, and there are good leisure facilities although I didn't use them on this occasion. I have difficulty believing it is four star although some aspects of my stay were better than others. Check in was fine, a very helpful young woman […] on reception, and I checked in slightly early with no problem. There is an issue with the stairs, I would have thought a hotel that I think is supposed to be 4 star would offer assistance with luggage. It is certainly not accessible for anyone with a disability or mobility problem. I went for a walk around town and returned to the hotel about 3.30, when I asked if they served tea in the bar area. I was informed that the bar area was shut between 3 and 6 completely. This is a missed opportunity in my opinion. I was directed to the cafe next door which is part of the hotel, but it is sort of a poor relation of a coffee chain, and not an "Afternoon Tea" sort of place at all. Again I find it hard to believe that a 4 star hotel closes its' bar for three hours on a Saturday afternoon. I wanted a nap in the afternoon as I was aware that the evening might be quite tiring. However in the room that I had been allocated (Room 301) this proved impossible because of the noise. The windows and curtains were closed but this did not keep out the noise. I think some of it came from the pub next door and some from the cafe which is part of the hotel. There was clearly some sort of a match being televised somewhere and lots of cheering at times. The room itself was a double, but I believe would have been very cramped if two people had been sharing it. There was no wardrobe in the room, but there was a cupboard situated at above waist height, with a hanging rail in the cupboard. The height of the cupboard would have allowed for a shirt to be hung but not dresses as it was not tall enough. But as I could not reach the rail or the hangers Lisez la suiteAvis véridique Hotels.com
