Comfort Inn And Suites South - Calgary

Was OK for a couple of nights. will not take my wife there on vacation, LOL. Had a nasty experience with a bunch of drunks next door who made a racket till 3:45 am untill police was called to evacuate them, but it might happen anywhere.

Came to Calgary to go to an event at the stampede grounds and the hotel was in the perfect spot to catch the train instead of driving. It was nice and clean and in good repair. Beds were quite comfortable. All in all a good stay.

Friendly staff. Excellent breakfast. Enjoyed the hot tub. Very convenient location, Close to Mall ,other shopping facilities, restaurants and downtown.

Was not happy as this hotel did not have restaurant access nor any convience store access. Will not stay there again.

next to nowhere to eat around, pool is horrible, but beds were comfortable. wouldnt recommend

Close to downtown, but right across from major nightclub, so fairly loud in the wee hours of the morning.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the course of years and have generally been staisfied. We have noticed, however, that it has started to decline somewhat in a few areas. The continental breakfast is very basic and ALWAYS seems completely depleted before my family gets to it (and we are not late risers). There is no attendant for the breakfast […] so when items run out you must either get it yourself from the back or go without as the front desk staff only check on it occasionally. The 'hot' tub should be renamed to a 'barely lukewarm' tub and during our last visit the jets were nonfunctioning. When the hot tub issues were brought to the attention of the front desk staff they were either unable or unwilling to try to rectify the situation. The rooms, while comfortable, are very warm. We have stayed at his hotel because it is very easy to get to, wonderfully convenient to events at the Saddledome and shopping, very close to a C Train station, and handy for a number of restaurants and shops.The rates are reasonable and the rooms are quite clean. After our last visit my wife and I have decided that we will look for other accomodation Lisez la suite

Pretty decent hotel. Hotels sometimes look a little different on the inside in foreign countries and it has a differnt look inside, but still pretty nice. Room was nice, staff helpful. I would seriously consider it if you are in the area unless you prefer another hotel chain. We are choice hotel members, the reason we selected it.

I think everything was OK , except that internet speed was moody .. the location is good , as it's close to a CTrain station .. the staff are kind...and the entire hotel is tranquil ..

for a little more money you could have a nicer hotel

Great room, great hotel. Very easy access from parking behind. Complimentary breakfast was a little skimpy but all we needed. Would definitely recommend it.

I needed to extend my stay by one day, and the Hotel was undergoing minor room upgrades, but the front desk staff found me another room and changed my reservation without any troubles. HVAC in room was really loud, but at the same time delivered lots of air and temperature control was easy. My wife and I have stayed in Comfort Inn chain hotels many times across Canada. This was not one of the best. The area is down at the heels and the street is noisy. Not bad if you can close the windows but when you do, the ventilation is very poor. A/C will freeze you without warning. Staff was pretty good although we had no reason to test them. The […] breakfast was ok and worth getting downstairs before 9:30AM. Getting pretty much fed up with 3 little pillows at these hotels though. Two good pillows would be more than enough. The hotel is pretty basic. The location was excellent for us. As we walked to the mall with our kids. It has a waterslide which is good but the pool is small. The staff are friendly. There was a fridge in the room but no microwave. Also the continental breakfast empties out fast with food if you don;t get there VERY early.

The desk man kept answering the phone when we attempted to check in, making us stand there and wait with our luggage which he continued to answer the phone. The room was crowded and hard to move about in. There was a huge chunk of the vanity missing in the bathroom. It had somehow been knocked out and was not replaced or any attempt made to fix it. […] Sharp edges. The air conditioner was so noisy, it woke us up in the middle of the night; sounded like an old crank tractor starting. Room supplies were not all replaced each day. Had to ask for more cups for bathroom/sink use. Breakfast that was included, was not fully supplied even in the earliest hours... ran out of hot water, not to mention eggs and coffee and did not replace in a timely manner. Lisez la suite

Nice, clean room and good service. The pool was a bit on the small side and the fitness center was very, very hot. The breakfast was a bit meagre, but satisfying.

the location was very convenient for us and the surrounding was safe. The cleanliness of the room was not satisfactory and the bathroom was bearly acceptable (Need major reno: tiles, floor...) but was clean. Pool was clean and waterslide was nice for the kids.

The Hotel was well located, close to the Chinook mall and easy to access. The hotel was small and well maintained, the pool, slide and hot tub were a nice addition, and they had a continental breakfast available for their guest. mold smell in bathroom, ridiculous management

The crew was absoultely wonderful expecially Gautam and Cyndi. The professionalizm they showed me was great. I would definately stay here again without a doubt. Good job you guys on my stay. I had a wonderful time.

Was trying to get best value for a hotel close to city center and this, so far is it, as long as you get a room on the back of the hotel away from MacLeod Trail - ask for an even number room. WiFi is painfully slow at times and the advertised feature list is not correct. You do get a free breakfast but no microwave in room or paper at the door. 10 minutes […] to downtown in the morning. We booked 3 rooms. 1 room had problem with the shower & needed to change the room at midnight hours. 2 other rooms had problem with the phone and cannot made any local calls at all (but call to front desk still ok). Called front desk at midnight and was told that Sunday midnight had no service and the operator asked me to come down to the lobby to use […] his phone. There was no apology and I didn't feel good about this service at all. The phones in the 2 rooms (for local call) were still dead when we checked out the next morning. Lisez la suite

Bus #10 was just across the street from the Comfort Inn so getting to and from the Calgary Stampede from this location was very convenient! Also, in the strip mall just to the north of the hotel we had the BEST Pizza we have every had!! YUMMY! Limited Breakfast Buffet was our only diappointment.
