A good location but in need of some serious refurbishment. Booked a sea front room but room very tired and worn for the money!. Good breakfast and evening meals. Bar area not relaxing and not soft chairs to relax which let's it down. Leisure facilities ok but again, very tired. Good front desk service and pleasant staff. This was the worst night I have experienced EVER. The nightclub was banging away until 3am. If that wasn't enough...then there was an all night party in the room above, people running around on the balcony & flat roof. I got no sleep whatsoever. I would not recommend this hotel if it were the last one on earth!

As hotel stays go, this was a nice hotel but in need of refurbishment. Rooms was small and bed hard and overlooked car park at back with noisy generators going. Service I could not fault. Pleasant staff and good food. Internet connection poor in room but access in lounge. Gym Swim was ok

great hotel I've stayed many times. Disappointed that they wanted another £20 to add on breakfast as I had previously been told £10. Casino can get busy but is fun! Beware you can lose as well as win! Check -in was done by an inexperienced employee-more like a work experience boy much to our disappointment though it didn't spoil our stay. The entrance is at the back of the hotel and the approach is past the bin area, not very nice, the photos don't show this! The reception staff was great. the rooms are smaller than Premier Inn or Travellodge, but clean and tidy, fixtures and fittings had seen better days! We was on the 4th (top) floor with a sea view which was fantastic. The Hotel has […] a night club on the ground floor which was very very noisy i.e. people shouting, from 11pm to 3:30am. It was in a convenient location on the Promenade, but the hotel needs some work. Noisy adjoining rooms but I shouldn't complain too much it was during TT week. Breakfast was a bit pricey and not a very good selection.

The staff were absolutely first rate, at both check in and checkout - and I really felt weclomed as soon as I arrived. The hotel is not too well set out however as you have to walk up stairs and head around a few corners from the promenade entrance to actually find reception. Check-in and check-out were fine and the hotel staff were in all cases very helpful and friendly. The room itself was fine - little bit cramped but very clean. The hotel overall condition was a bit disappointing, bit shabby and dated. The restaurant we used (the main one where breakfast is served) was very disappointing in all respects - the evening […] menu range was very poor, it was essentially a buffet and the prices were far too much for this type of service. The food itself was OK but the other issues overshadowed this. Breakfast was similarly overpriced for the type of service. The pool and associated facilities seemed nice. The surrounding area and the hotel location were both fine, convenient to Douglas centre. Overall I don't think the hotel merits a 4 star rating (and the prices charged are 4 star) based on its shabby overall condition and especially its poor dining facilities. The hotel is very central for the town and promenade. Good food in restaurant buffet style.Enjoyed the Casino. Room adequate overlooking the sea but also on top of nightclub and loud thumping music until the small hours, better to ask for a room on other side.

It is unfortunate that when one goes to the Isle of Man that one just has to accept that standards for both food and accommodation will be lower that anywhere else in the UK. It is a bit like being back in the sixties. The Hilton in Douglas is just the same. Some excellent bits - check in efficient with helpful staff, super breakfast and generally very […] clean. BUT attention to detail is poor. In the room there were bare wires on the ironing board and the strap that holds the iron to the board was broken so fell out on my foot. The railings on the balcony of the room looked as if they had not been painted for years and there was a scum on the bath. The step up to the balcony felt as it was about to collapse. There was a 21st going on and when we returned about 11.00pm the area outside the front doors was inhabited by numerous drunk young females whose language was appaling. We were pleased to be offered free newspapers. Looked out at 8.00 am. Not there. Still not there 20 minutes later. Not there. Called reception. Told would arrive soon. 9.00am - not there. Asked person cleaning bedrooms opposite to sort. Arrived 9.20am. The school report would say 'must do better'. With better, stronger management it could be excellent. Lisez la suite

The hotel has excellent facilites and a good level of service. However if you intend to stay at this hotel on a Friday or Saturday night be prepared for the disco which closes at 3 am. We were not informed about this when booking and when we complained about the noise and asked to be moved we were told that it doesn't matter where you are in the hotel […] that you will hear loud music all night. Having read reviews prior to staying in the Hilton I was not expecting much. However, I could find no fault with this hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful - housekeeping staff, restaurant, bar and reception staff were all great and extremely helpful The room was perfect. Other reviews mentioned loud noise at night when the casino and nightclub […] were finishing up, but I heard no noise. The location of the hotel is great, as you can enjoy a nice walk into the town centre along the promenade or else enjoy a nice short stroll up to the horse trams and electric railway. Lisez la suite

Questo hotel è un casermone con centinaia di stanze... ciò detto, queste sono confortevoli e pulite, che è la cosa importante! La posizione non è centralissima in quanto si trova più o meno a un chilometro e mezzo dal porto di douglas, ma in una camminata di 20/30 minuti si può raggiungere senza problemi. Non male nel complesso.

Hotel ohne spezielle Ambiance. Kleine Zimmer, winziges Bad. Kein Kühlschrank. Lobby fehlt. Gutes Restaurant, guter Zimmerservice, Laundry ist perfekt. Vier Sterne für dieses Hotel sind etwas zu hoch gegriffen. Vierstern war höchstens der Preis... Trotzdem gibt es auf der Isle of Man wenig Alternativen.

Ikke det vi trodde utfra bestilling av Hilton-hotel. Lite rom, kun nattbord på en side av dobbeltsengen p.g.a dårlig plass. Vifter som suste hele natten utfor vinduet. VInduet kunne åpnes litt, rommet var veldig varmt. RADIATOREN VAR ALLTID LITT VARM. Vi ga beskjed i resepsjonen, men fikk ikke nytt rom ( mente det ikke var ledig). Vi fikk inn en vifte […] som bråkte såpass at vi måtte ta den av. Synes betjeningen var høflig, men ikke så imøtekommende, mer reserverte. Lisez la suite

Flott hotell beliggende midt på promenaden i Douglas kun 30 min fra flyplassen i Isle of Man. Romslige rom med strykebrett, vannkoker, hårføner, badekar mm. Vi anbefaler rom med utsikt over promenaden. Stille og rolig selv med et Casino i hotellet. Bussholdeplass og holdeplass for hestetrikken like ved hotellinngangen.
