Great !!

! Un vrai bijoux ! Nous retournerons dans cet hotel sans hesiter. "A good possibility in downtown area only"
This hotel has great potential. The rooms are gorgeous but the overall impression is lessened by mediocre customer service. I will say the beds are extremely comfortable. For fitness minded guests, you could do no better as the entire club is at your leisure. I recommend the hotel if in the downtown corridor. The service was overall average. An improvement […] in the service would go a long way to having a better product. Lisez la suite
Parking is challenging in downtown LA
"LOVED"
I will be staying here again and hopefully often!
"Wonderful old world building, nice rooms"
Great old building housing the LA Athletic Club. Parking around corner is simple with direct access into the Club/Hotel. The pool, basketball and workout facilities are flawless, the old world charm is great. However if you are more into the modern style hotel this is likely not the place for you. Across the street from great restaurants and bars, […] Bottega Louie, Mas Malo, Seven Grand, LA Live, Staples Center, etc. All that downtown LA now has to offer is within easy walking distance of the hotel. "Old building"
Overall my stay at The Los Angeles Athletic Club was pretty good. Room was little bit small than it appear in the picuture on website, but it was clean and bed was comfortable to sleep. Room looked very nice. It was nicely renovated. Bit noisy... we can hear people talking from hallway. (Not from other rooms) Building -OLD Please fix "ELEVATOR" My […] friend was stuck in Elevator for more than 30 min. We communicated by iphone. Maintenance person tried to fix it but my friend stuck 2 time right after they confirm it has fixed. NO STAFF came to applogy that my friend was stuck more than 30 min. Old building = no choice, but please.... consider how people feel to waste on time.... we came to visit the town!! Gym - Building was old, but Machine was very new! I use Gym and Pool. It was very nice. Breakfast - I was surprise that they serve Omlet just for you! I really enjoyed breakfast! It is way better than economical hotel which serve cheap breakfast. Wifi - Free Wifi!!! Important!! Bar and Restaurant close really early. So, we have to go out to entertain. Staff - Gym staff was very friendlly. Restaurant staff, female staff was friendly, but there were 1 nasty guy staff which I really wasn't impressed. Front staff, even I reported about "Elevator" insident, no appology or anything..... "Los Angeles Athletic Club - Nice Change"
This hotel presented a great change to the normal "box hotels" - having the history around it and the members in the health club being such an interesting group added to the allure of this hotel. Granted.. not the most updated or "cool" place... , but to those lovers of historic elegance, a great place to visit.
"Awesome hotel, but room very loud"
This is a great hotel. The service, amenities and gym are outrageous. My room, while really nice, was very loud. There was a ton of street noise (sirenes, back up notices, loud cars, etc) that permeated the room and kept me up quite a bit. But in all, I'd highly recommend this hotel. Check out the rooftop deck for amazing views of LA.
"The Los Angeles Athletic Club"
Located in the heart of downtown LA, indoor self parking just next door and reasonable price. Hotel room is very nice and comfort, but a bit small. Although location is good, but have to be careful at night, some parts of downtown LA are not the safest.
"Love this place!"
Had no idea this hotel existed. The place is awesome. LOVE IT! definitely coming back. great for a business stay. not ideal for tourists.
"The doors between the rooms"
The connecting doors between the rooms are awful. Very very awful
"Great Option in Area"
LAAC is a great hotel in its own rite, and is usually substantially cheaper than other high-end hotels in Downtown LA. While the building is older, it is well-maintained and the rooms are immaculate. Due to the age, you'll get a bit more street noise than a newer hotel, but the inside corridors are very quiet.

"Great history... bad location"
You're good if you go one block right... but one block to the left puts you in a sketchy neighborhood. Great amenities. While it's only 7 miles to West Hollywood... 7 miles in LA is 1:45 minutes. I would have walked it faster.

"Great hotel to stay in downtown"
If you need to stay in Downtown, this hotel is a great option. Their parking rate ($12 per night, self-parking) is much more lower than comparable hotels. They offer a complimentary breakfast buffet with enough options for a full breakfast, and it's served in a nice cozy dining room. Hotels guests have free access to the fitness facilities, which are […] great. Lisez la suite
"LA Athletic Club"
really enjoyed my stay, only issues were, dining areas and bar were not open for dinner on weekends, so you had to eat out. Not the quietest location, but not too bad, however the facilities were great and the location central to downtown LA
"worst"
I decide never stay this hotel again...
"Our favorite place downtown"
My husband and I like the LAAC because it's uniquely historical and has great architecture. The rooms we have stayed in aren't huge, but they are very comfortable and well-furnished, like a traditional gentleman's club. It's so different from a regular chain hotel, we really get a kick out of it. The front desk staff is excellent--we love Ernie--and, […] for us, the location is great. It's near fabulous bars and restaurants, the metro, and near some of our favorite neighborhoods like Silverlake. The two drawbacks I can see are the price, which can be quite high, and the downtown area. We enjoy big cities, but someone not used to urban core areas might not feel comfortable. Lisez la suite
"Little gem"
While driving here, the neighborhood has little to be desired, but once we got in the hotel we were very pleased. The rooms were modern and sleek (although ours was a little small). Bed was very comfy. Did not have time to check out the gym/pool area but wish I had! The checkout was later that I'm used to and the parking was the cheapest that I could […] find in the area, so those were other bonuses. The breakfast was ok - nice buffet with couple of options. Staff was good. Would definitely stay again..if I decide to splurge :) Lisez la suite

The room wasn't terribly clean when I checked in and my desk lamp didn't work but the hotel staff were very friendly and addressed these issues quickly. The bathroom could stand some upgrades (chipped paint, no water pressure) though! The athletic facilities are fantastic- as is the "free" breakfast- and for anyone doing buisiness in downtown LA, this […] is a great place to stay. Lisez la suite
"LA Athletic Club Hotel"
Postives: excellent breakfast included, rooms are nicely renovated, price is reasonable. Negatives: Dicey neighborhood, room was not thoughly cleaned (trash from previous guest was still on floor and closet shelf!), AC in room is extremely loud so you might want to shut it off. Overall, a worthwhile place to stay if you need to be in downtown LA.
"LAAC - a hidden gem, great for downtown"
LAAC isn't as obvious as many of the hotels downtown - the two covered entrances on 7th/Olive are the only obvious features at street level - but inside it's a high quality experience. Lobby, bars and 3rd-floor dining areas are wood-paneled in the style of a London club, with friendly staff - though the hotel is relatively-small so you won't find the […] place very busy unless there's an event in one of the mid-floor function rooms. The hotel rooms are on the top floors, above a very extensive set of gym and sports facilities - though you don't need to be into exercise to enjoy the stay, use is included. Rooms are well-furnished, somewhat dark color schemes can make them feel a bit dim compared to the views from the windows, but that's typical in hotels. Punched keylock doors and a digital safe big enough for a 15" laptop, but given the controlled access and "members only" signs I couldn't see intruders being a problem. Being high above street level the rooms are very quiet, though some on the top (12th) floor can suffer from the aircon and elevator motors. You won't get stunning views even from the 12th, as downtown is hard to see unless you're not in it! There's a bar on the 3rd floor, smart-casual dress, free Wi-Fi, radio alarm and cable TV (with the typical LA mix of Spanish and English channels). Coffee machine in each room and a small (but empty) refrigerator, useful if you've stocked up on drinks from the nearby 7-Eleven. Ensuite with bath/shower, and an iron, ironing board and hairdryer hidden in the closet, and plenty of spare electrical outlets. People used to European hotels may find it strange, but room service, bars etc. in the hotels pretty much shut down after 9, so if you're looking for a snack at 2am you'll need to head outside. Some areas of downtown have a reputation, especially at night - it's true that strolling about the alleys at 3am with a camcorder would be stupid, but the Jewelery District blocks around 7th are far from scary, even in the da Lisez la suite

"Great Room"
We stayed here on our honeymoon. The room was amazing along with the fitness amenties the hotel offers. My only complaint is that we stayed here for our honeymoon during the week when the hotel was definitely not even close to full and they declined to give us an upgrade. We asked since it was our honeymoon but they wouldn't do it. They were one of […] the few hotels we visited that didn't offer us anything for our special occasion. The room was still amazing and we would definitely stay there again. Lisez la suite
"great hotel"
great room- and great included breakfast. very pleasantly surprised- would book this hotel again if I had to be downtown LA
"Los Angeles Athletic Club"
The room was quaint and in a great location. The restroom was a bit less clean than I would have hoped, but was overall pleased with the ambiance of the room. As a late sleeper, I appreciated the coziness of the room and the drapes that nearly completely black the room out. View was nice and staff was incredibly friendly. I would certainly go back.
"LAAC convenient for Downtown and for Subway travel"
The hotel is centrally located for any business downtown and just one block from the Los Angeles Meto stop at Pershing Square. The rooms are clean and updated, the staff very friendly and parking is only $12 per day. I really liked the rather old fashioned athletic facilities but the locker and shower areas need serious updating. It's a great bargain […] when you factor in the breakfast buffet with made to order omlette station which is included with your nightly stay. One caveat, the neighborhood at night is not the greatest, downtown LA has a ways to go in gentrification. Also if you are looking to go out to the Beach cities or down to Orange county, traffic to and from downtown is pretty bad. On the plus side, the growing network of subways, trains and light rail connections means easy access to Hollywood, Universal City, Silverlake, Chinatown and Pasadena. Soon there will be a new light rail line to the Sea but the initial section opening this fall will carry you as far as Culver City. Lisez la suite

Great room, very comfortable and super clean ;) thanks!
"Best hotel for price"
Wonderful service and nice to be around the old traditional setting of an upscale hotel. The pool and gym can meet most private clubs standards. Included breakfast was beyond the everyday but rather brunch level. Highly recommend!

"Better than expected"
With the increased liveliness of the area, the LACC has become a very good destination, especially for the traveler desiring an excellent workout facility. The club is much more homey and comfortable overall than your normal hotel. It feels like you are in LA, rather than in just another hotel chain where you could be anywhere. And because of its central […] location, it is in walking proximity to LA Live/Staples Center/MOCA/business district/everything. And the breakfast is giant and wonderful. Lisez la suite

"LAAC in Los Angeles"
We did not mind staying in the hotel. Unfortunately, you would not want to walk outside the hotel. The area is skid-row.
"Clean, comfortable and small"
The LAAC was very clean and the bed is very comfortable. The athletic facilities were outstanding. The bad news is the room was a closet. The bathroom even smaller. The staff were very nice but acted like they did not know how to take care of their visitors. The bellman gave no info on how to use the facilities such as the TV/ Cable setup, there was […] no indication that there was no resturant or room service unless you met their time schedule. I called for room service in the morning and the response I got was that they could do it but it would be cheaper if I just came down to their resturant. If you like to eat late at night, get somthing to drink other than water out of the bathroom sink ( not even a coke machine) or want room service this is not the place. This place is clean and comfortable but does not have the amentities of other hotels. I am speaking of a coffee shop and room service. The parking is great though. $12 !!!!! Lisez la suite
