"Not quite as nice as a chain hotel room"
...but the location makes up for it. If you are a clean freak or only like to stay in hotels that are "like new" this may not appeal to you, however, the service was very friendly, the room very clean, and the view spectacular. We would stay again!
If you are ever in the Mason City/Clear Lake Iowa area you have to come and stay here. The hotel is located right on the lake with a boat launch right there. I wish I would have had my pole with me. The view at sunrise was awesome.
very small, no lobby to eat in.way over priced. nowhere close by to eat. v very dissatisfied for the price.
"Right on the shores of Clear Lake IA"
We wanted to stay on the shores of Clear Lake and found this hotel. It has a new owner since Aug and they are in the process of remodeling all rooms…staff was great!! It was a windy night and you could hear the waves lapping up on the short…neat!!
"On the lake"
Great views of the lake, dock to walk out on , balconies and patios to sit and enjoy.
We were told we could dock our boat on the lake, but when we got there, we couldn't. There wasn't any restaurants very close within walking distance. The room was nice and the patio looking over the lake was great. Wonderful breakfast with lots of choices.

"Not what I had expected"
I was expecting a much newer larger hotel, but was pleasantly surprised with a much older, smaller facility. Didn't use the pool (didn't look that great and all the rooms from the one building opened up to it), but when I opened my curtains the next morning I was right on Clear Lake! I had no idea my room was so close to the water, what a beautiful […] view. The surrounding neighborhood was all lake homes and lovely for a morning stroll. I didn't get to stay and enjoy the patio or dock, but it would have been nice. The room was a bit dated, as was the bathroom, but it was extremely clean. The breakfast was a bit meager and was just a counter in the front loby, which was tiny. But it was pleasant enough. Would be a great place to stay with the family since the room was HUGE to do some fishing or water activities. Lisez la suite
