"Good central location hotel but not luxury"
The hotel has antique look lobby on the first floor, offers excellent breakfast and is located close to historical monuments. The rooms, however, are average but clean.
"Intimate friendly staff with convenient location"
My husband and I stayed at the Napoleon our first night in Rome and they were kind enough to store our large bags for 5 days while we traveled to Florence. The service is so personal you get to know everyone on a first name basis immediately. The front desk managers were always ready to drop what they were doing to help us plan our days - sharing tips […] about buses, the Metro, walking routes, and they even set up a tour of the Vatican museum where the guides picked us up at the hotel and delivered us home afterwards. The marble bathrooms were upgraded recently but the rooms' furnishings could use upgrading as well. Nevertheless, the rooms were clean, the beds comfy and the linens spectacular. The hotel's intimate restaurant is very good, the Wi-Fi is reliable, and the breakfast cappuccinos molto bene. There is a laundromat a few blocks away - a 5 minute walk, and several excellent trattorias in the neighborhood. The hip Osteria Angeleno (pasta to die for) is literally around the corner. We highly recommend the Napoleon! Lisez la suite
"Metro at the front door to hotel"
Good value for money. Very close to Metro, easy access to all signseeing. Hotel staff excellent, helpful and coutrious. The Breakfast was great, the Bar and Resturant were very reasonable and open every day but Wednesday. Room was very clean but on the smaller side. A great place to stay and a good value for the money.

Upon our arrival, the manager was very rude to us. The hotel was probably very grand in it's day but it is old and run down now and the neighborhood is not the best. It is close to the Coluseum but not very close to anything else. The rest of the staff was very nice. The shower is plastic enclosure that had a lot of mold on it so if you are allergic […] to mold you might want to skip it. The breakfast which was included was good. We would not stay here again. "Rome- Napoleon Hotel"
I stayed in this hotel for 3 days with my family. First day we stayed in a very small room for 3 persons. But thanks to the helpful personnel, we changed it with a bigger one. Although the hotel is not in the heart of the city, having a metro entrance in front of the hotel is a real asset. Breakfasts were good comparing other hotels in Rome. What I […] like the best the friendship of the Hotel personel, which is not in place in most of the hotels in Rome. They never gave a negative response to our any requests. Lisez la suite
"A great first experience in ROME !"
My stay at Napoleon Hotel was great... It's located steps from a Metro station... walking distance to many major attractions ! Roberto, one of the concierges at the hotel was amazing ! He was attentive to my needs and suggested many itineraries for my visit... he even walked me over to a restaurant... to show me the way ! A great first experience in […] Rome ! Lisez la suite

"great hotel"
We were very glad to have chosen this hotel among all the others as the hotel staff, the location and the comfort of the rooms were great. Our daughter was very pleased to have a park just on the other side of the road and the metro station entrance is in front of the hotel. I recommend strongly.
"Hotel Napoleon in Rome - helpful & friendly staff"
Hotel staff was very friendly & helpful, ready to give suggestions and advice. Hotel is beautiful inside. Rooms are very clean. Hotel is just in front of a metro station, which is very convenient, and is within walking distance to the Coliseum. It is just one metro stop away from Termini train station.

This hotel is one of the best I Rom. I will be back!!
"Napolean Hotel in Rome"
Very nice, clean and friendly hotel in Rome. Central location within walking distance of Termini Station. Excellent free breakfast was included. Nice selection and fresh. If you need something, just ask them. The staff really enjoyed making our stay memorable. We will stay there again next time.
I was very pleased with everything about this hotel and would highly recommend it to anyone. If I visit Rome again I'll definitely be staying here.
"Napolean hotel Rome"
Close to the metro this hotel is very close to most places that you would wish to go to . One stop to the central station that connects you to the airport and 15 minutes to the Vatican . A nice walk to the colleseum . The area at night is not that nice but during the day the markets and shops make this a nice place to be and shop . All the staff are […] so friendly and speak perfect English . Food and drink are excellent Lisez la suite
"Awesome"
Hotel Napoleon served as a great home base for a 2-day stay in Rome - mostly thanks to Roberto, that is! Before we headed out to explore the city, he mapped out a route that let us see 15 Roman "must-see's," complete with a gelato & lunch break! We were so glad we followed his advice. His tour suggestions seriously made our trip. The entire hotel staff […] was friendly, and was convenient to plenty of restaurants/shops/things to do. I highly recommend it! Lisez la suite
"Friendly staff, close to Metro"
The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel is very clean, and comfortable. There are elevators and the windows could be opened, so we could have some fresh air. The hotel was very accessible to the Metro, so we could get anywhere in Rome that we wanted to go. The walls are a little thin, the beds a little hard - like most of the […] rooms we had in Europe. There were two computers for the use of guests. Breakfast was very nice - a good selection of breads, meats, cheeses, cereals, drinks. The breakfast room is a little stuffy - it could have used an open window - as the temperature outside was crisp. My only complaint was the meal we ate in the hotel restaurant - service was very slow, it was very stuffy, it took about 45 minutes between courses and the food wasn't that good. Lisez la suite
"great experience"
Very well situated, a few steps to Vittorio Emanuelle metro station. Comfortable rooms. A very good breakfast buffet and the best of all, a very diligent and attentive multi-lingual staff. Highly recommendable.

"Good location, good service."
Very well located. Metro station almost at front entrance. Walking distance to Colloseum and Forum Romanum (15 min). Friendly and helpful front desk personnel.
"Hotel Napolian in Rome Italy"
The hotel arranged for a private car to meet us at the airport. This was better than a taxi as he helped us with our bags from the airport to his car. All the staff was very courteous from check-in to check-out. When asking for directions, they would walk you out to the street and visually point you in the right direction. Because of the fact that the […] rooms faced a center courtyard, the rooms were very quite - a plus in Rome. The full breakfast each morning was great. It is close to the coleseum and pick-up point for the hop-on-hop off bus. The Metro stop is just outside the front door. I would stay there again Lisez la suite
"Enjoyed the stay"
We enjoyed the stay at the Napoleon. Nice sized rooms, the bathroom was clean and large enough, loved the towels. Breakfast was super, a full spread and very tasty. The front desk assisted in making dinner reservations and arranging a van for the airport. I hope we are able to travel again to Rome and this would be where I would stay again.
"Napoleon Hotel"
Small hotel that is quite quirky - you have to change elevators to get to the floors where you room is. Hotel is very nice with a basic breakfast. In great location close to transport but many attractions are within walking distance. Hotel staff were very helpful (when we arrived very early in the morning the staff took us to the breakfast room for […] a cuppa) we found this type of service unusual in Italy Would recommend this hotel Lisez la suite
"Great Hotel and Staff"
Great Hotel and staff - ideally located to explore all of Rome - surrounding area not too good but right opposite the metro to get around and being a family of 4 we just goy a taxi back at night rather than walking around but room very comfotable for 4 - will definetly go back again - staff and food excellent
Friendly and helpful desk saff who spoke english...and were most cordial and pleasant....
"Nice stay"
We stayed for 2 nights. Excellent hotel staff. The room was comfortable and clean with a large bath. Breakfast was of high quality and had a broad selection. The hotel is within 100 feet of the Rome Rome A Line Vittorio Emanuele stop and approximately a 15 minute walk to the Colisseum. We would definitely stay again.
"A Real Find"
I cannot say enough kind words of praise for this hotel. All of the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful; the concierge service is great and they go out of their way for the guests. Everyone spoke great English. The hotel is comfortable and provides a lovely buffet breakfast with gluten free items! There is a choice of fresh fruits, cold cuts, […] cheeses, cereals, eggs, etc. The location is convenient; metro stop just steps away from the lobby; walking distance to the theatre district and the Coloseum. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and will stay here again. Lisez la suite
"Services"

"Near the Termini and other sights"
Great hotel. Subway entrance right outside the front door makes it easy and quick to get to many locations. Within walking distance of Colosseum and Forum. The wine tasting on Friday night is really nice. You get to meet the staff and other guests. The concierge is wonderful. He takes time to give you great suggestions and directions to anything you […] want to see and do. Just have to remember that hotel rooms/baths in Europe are smaller than USA. I highly recommend this hotel. Lisez la suite
"Helpful, friendly staff and cozy, nice hotel"
Seems to be a very old building, but nicely maintained. Everything was clean and tidy. The staff members (especially at the reception) were all very helpful and friendly. Only drawback I can think of is the small elevators and the steps you need to take to get to the elevators if you have big luggages, which I did not have and so myself did not have […] any problem. Even with luggages, the concierge person is very willing to help you with them and with your room. The air-conditioning unit in my room did not work at first, but the concierge person fixed it quickly. Free Wi-Fi in the room was really nice and the included breakfast was pretty good. Being right next to a park, at night, there were some (possibly drunken) people hanging around in the surrounding area of the hotel, but I did not feel anything dangerous. The train station is right in front of the hotel and only two stops to the main Termini. The hotel is quite close to the city center also. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. Lisez la suite
"service unsurpassed"
We stayed 2 nights at this hotel following a med cruise. It is a traditional old style european hotel overlooking a nice square. The massive positive is that the metro entance is only 10 paces rom the front door and all day tickets to it were available from the hotel for only 4 euro each. The metro gives quick and easy access to all the sights although […] it is a little busy. The immeadiate area around the hotel feels compltely safe but there are not a lot of restauarants close by. The hotel restauarant and and bar are reasonably priced but we chose to get the metro to eat in the spanish steps area, which is lovely for an evening meal. We also went one night to the piazza navone to eat on the recommendation of the concierge and it was a fabulous atmosphere. The restaurants in the piazza were very expensive but only one block back they are much more reasonable. **one note of caution - when ordering a taxi via the hotel the rate starts when the hotel phone, not when the taxi arrives, which made the outward journey twice the price **. I would recommed the limo service provided by the hotel back to the airport, which at time of writing was 48 euro. The staff at the hotel were the most helpfulI have come accross anywhere in the world, even finding the time to check me in on line for my return flight and even printing off the boarding cards. On the friday night the management held a 'wine and nibbles' party and the owner actually came and introduced himself. The wine was free and plentiful and the nibbles very nice - a nice touch, we thought. Overall, i would highly recommend this hotel and would use it again Lisez la suite
"Good location in Rome"
We had a nice 4 night stay at this hotel as it is definitely well situated just 1 Metro stop from Termini train station and near several restaurants, conveniences stores, discount clothing stores, and a park. The staff was very friendly and there is a nice restaurant and bar and fancy meeting open area with comfy chairs and tables on the floor above […] ground floor. But the room itself and particularly the bathroom was small for a 4-star hotel. The shower didn't even have a soap tray or shelf to hold soap and shampoo, and there was no counter space by the sink. We stayed at a 3-star hotel when we got back to Rome after our cruise and this had more bathroom space and was easier walk to Termini station. Lisez la suite
