Right smack in the middle of London, modernism reinvented, 50's meets 90's design, you can stay in the hotel the entire time as it's swarming with men and women, single and married, bars, brunchs, a day disco if you like with five star service and quiet once you get a way to your room.

"St. Martins Lane London"
excellent place to stay. service, food and location is perfect. thanks for the great service.
"Fantastic Hotel"
Staff, food and room were great. Watch out for the room numbers on the floor though, as it took us a while to find our's :-)
"Great location!"
Stayed 3 nights in total, great location, around the corner from leicester square which is perfect for those on business and leisure alike. I liked the fact the the rooms are full of quirky features such as lighting and many of the gadgets like an ipod dock which is always welcomed, though wireless internet access was not free like many other hotels, […] also no coffee/tea facilities provided for those mornings needing a quick coffee before leaving the hotel. Upon arriving I was given a voucher for a free drink at the bar which was a great touch, though upon reaching the bar that night it only extended to certain spirits and not whisky which I was looking forward to, though to be fair they did stock a huge selection of drinks. I ate one night in the hotel restaurant, I had mixed feelings about it, the quality of the food and menu was great, there was also no issue with time, the food arrived very quickly, however the lack customer service was shocking, too much haste and not enough personal touch, my waiter whilst placing my glass of wine on my table began to have a conversation and ask the guests on the table beside me a question about their meal, with no eye contact whatsoever with me, frankly the price of that glass of wine alone should have warranted a sentence or two with me prior to moving on, the food may be five star but the service in the restaurant is poor, in my opinion time to get a few qualified in the art of customer service and customer experience as relying on the quality of the food alone does not make a restaurant. Overall I would probably stay again on the strength of location alone, though I would not visit the restaurant again due to the the lack of customer service, either further training is needed or a complete overhaul of the service staff with a team trained in the customer service skills to be expected at any top restaurant. Apart from this one area the staff across all the other areas of the hotel are exceptional. Lisez la suite
"Excellent hotel in a great location."
This hotel worked out perfectly for my recent stay, as I could walk to all of my meetings in Soho. The hotel itself is very hip with (what looked like) a great restaurant and bar that unfortunately I did not get time to visit. The room was super modern and very clean, but quite small making it a bit difficult to find space to put things or move around. […] Not a big deal as I was mostly only there to sleep. If you're in the neighborhood I would definitely recommend this hotel. Lisez la suite

"Welcoming staff, unwelcoming room"
Let's say you're traveler and you're looking for a comfortable hotel room in a great location in London, near theater and a tubestop. Let's also say that you're Philippe Starck, the noted French hotel designer and architect. He'd definitely enjoy the St Martin's Lane Hotel, because he designed it. But if you're NOT Starck, then it's a little iffier.... I […] stayed at the St Martin's Lane for four nights last week, traveling as a single woman. I knew the hotel was "trendy" - I read the reviews - and I also know that I am NOT trendy, but decided I could put up with a little "trendiness" for four nights in a superb location. I was welcomed to the hotel by a front-desk staff and concierge who were the friendliest and most helpful I've encountered on my many trips to London. A grade of A+++ to the staff. The helpfulness and good cheer were in evidence throughout my stay. The room, though, is a different story... When I stay at a hotel for more than one night, I "set up" the room - finding space for my computer, locating easily-accessed plugs for the many chargers I bring, putting a box of Kleenex on my bedside table, etc. And I don't mind a small room - as long as it's well appointed, I find it "cozy". The problem with the room at the St Martin's is that it was small, but contained furniture that all had extremely sharp corners. The platform that the mattress was on was a walk-by hazard, as was the long, rectangular table at the edge of the room. The plugs were located across the room from the bed, and were barely accessible. There was no night-stand on either side of the bed and I found a small brown stool that I placed next to the bed. The bed had a counter in back of the head-board but it was awkwardly placed and would be impossible to use as a nightstand. The stand that held the TV and other music components was also sharply cornered. If the room wasn't so small, then all the sharp-cornered pieces wouldn't matter, but as it was, "surviving" the room was difficult with Lisez la suite
"Stylish, quirky and very comfortable."
Excellent central location, close to theatre, ballet, opera and galleries. Stylish, quirky and very comfortable.
"Hotel St-Martins Lane close to Covent Garden"
Very nice hotel, perfect service, very clean and sunny rooms, perfect location, the only "bad" point is that the romms are kind of small, but I still recommend it.
"Great Hotel"
This is a very nice Hotel in a great neighborhood! Will stay there again.
"Great Hotel for the buck"
Very good experience with this Hotel. Very personable and friendly staff. Very good customer service.. Same type of hotel as the Le Mondrian in LA. Nice cool vibe. Would definitely stay here again.. a hop and skip away to all places of interest and the tube.
"There is better out there!"
Guest can take advantage of the next door Gymbox, providing access to hotel guests, Gymbox is a full fledge gym with great professional trainers. Even by NYC or London standards, this hotel's room rate is too expensive for the room size; there is about 24 inches of ‘free space’ around the bed, hard to walk around the room beyond 1 occupant, extremly […] limited closet space. Beyond a very comfortable bed, the rooms are poorly equipped with unpractical desk and chair. The night life within the hotel’s walls is not happening , fine for one early cocktails before dinning out or clubbing. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Repeater"
I booked this hotel for my CEO at the last minute as his original accommodation couldn't facilitate him for the first night. He was so impressed, the original booking was cancelled and he returned to St Martin Lane for the rest of his trip.
"slow front desk"
This is a typical example of a slow front desk. The desk lady is very nice and takes her time with her customers which is great when it's your turn, but really irritating when you are 3rd in row. The front desk is too small and they lack of staff. They could't find my online booking so I paid again and then had to reclaim my 1st payment over the phone […] with this site (I hope I got it back). By the way the websites discount code wasn't working at the booking either. Lisez la suite

Hotel is for those who want to be in a modern boutique, totally non-traditional atmosphere. It was fun and the staff really put out the extra effort. Don't expect a view room unless you're willing to book the top rooms.
"50th"
I booked 2 nights for a friend as a 50th birthday gift! She loved it, was up graded and it made the day special!! I was so pleased she had such good service.
"Trendy for the sake of being trendy"
Too many elements installed to be cool but not functional. No night stands. Tiny clocks. Very small room. Towel racks look nice but don't hold towels. No room to sit at desk. Stayed 4 nights, needed to add two more - they tried to stick us for inflated rates, we left.
"St Martins Lane Hotel - Great Service"
I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. Normally when I've been to London on business/pleasure I've stayed near Marble Arch, I found this location much better. I liked the decoration - quirky and interesting . But the thing that made my stay memorable was the service. The staff were all very attentive and pleasant and it really made a difference. I'll […] stay here again. Lisez la suite
"Stylish but noisey"
The St Martin's Lane Hotel is a hip, designer hotel that gives a great first impression. Overall my exeperience was good ,but the biggest disappointment was the noise. The hotel rooms are very poorly insulated acoustically. I could hear noise from the corridor, from the room overhead and from the bar downstairs until the early hours of the morning. […] It would put me off staying there again. Lisez la suite

"DO NOT STAY HERE"
I travel about 200 nights a year for work; this hotel is in the bottom 10% of hotels I've ever stayed in. The hotel itself is suboptimal (they've substituted cheap, chincy design for functionality), but if that's their niche, fine. My concern--they gave me a room with no air conditioning and huge sun facing windows. It was so hot in the room my laptop […] wouldn't work and I couldn't sleep. I'd literally get out of the room sweating. Then the "service", or lack thereof--I complained on the first day. They said an "engineer" would fix it. Never came. Complained on the second morning that noone came, they said they'd put me in a new room. Then an hour later said they had no rooms but that an engineer would come. No one came. On the evening of the second night I left a message for the hotel manager (no one called me back). On the morning of the third day, I asked again to move rooms to one with air conditioning. They tried to give me the run around. I literally had to stand in the lobby and refuse to move until the real hotel manager would speak with me. She basically admitted that when the HVAC had been designed certain rooms were too far from the compressor and so they are never able to get adequate A/C. The "engineer" line is apparently to buy time and get people to stay in the rooms and in most cases they leave by the third day. The fact that she admitted this (and gave us a new room) was nice--I'm glad she was honest with us. But to *INTENTIONALLY* put us in a room with no A/C and then to lie about it is so far beyond what is reasonable for an expensive hotel, that I've been compelled to write my first online review. Do yourself a favor and stay anywhere else. Lisez la suite
"St Martins Lane Hotel"
The Hotel Staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble and very professional. The bar and restaurant were very good especially later in the evening when they had a DJ in the bar. When we checked out the Hotel even took us back to the railway station in the Hotel car rather than a taxi!
"superb high end hotel, excellent services"
in london on business, stuck for extra 5 days, hotel and staff very accomodating, clean / hip place, i am a hotel snob and this property was solid. rates are pricey- but if you can get them a good rate, then take it.

"Super Lage"

"Great location"
Very friendly staff, small but nicely decorated room. Good restaurant. Overall highly recommended also due to great location.
"Over priced and under sized!"
Smallest hotel room I ever stayed in with bad sound insulation. Could hear every conversation in the corridor. Toilet was not particularly clean, smelled of urine. Had to connect the DVD to the TV myself, remote was not working. Typical bad housekeeping issues. Most annoying was the price once we found out what we got for that price. Never again!
