séjour superbe, proximité des plages dans cette petite ville charmante et animée. Beaucoup de bar, pub, restaurant ( je vous suggere d'aller manger à la PINTA). En plus, c'est le top pour aller a Bacelonne: la gare (type RER) est a quelques rues de l'hotel et il y a un train toute les 30 minutes, environ 30 minutes pour joindre le coeur de Barcelonne ! Pas besoin de voiture, sauf pour les noctambules car plus de train a partir de 23H.

Parfait mais certaines chambres sont très sombres (vue sur cour) donc bien penser à demander une chambre lumineuse en étage. Très sympathique, le réceptionniste nous a changé de chambre le deuxième jour.

Le quartier d'Eixample, créé entre 1860 et 1920, arbore par conséquent les plus beaux bâtiments modernistes de la ville. Les larges trottoirs de son artère principale, Passeig de Gràcia, sont bordés de boutiques de luxe et de cafés chic. Vous y trouverez également les deux monuments de Gaudí dignes de contes de fées, Casa Batlló et La Pedrera, ainsi que de nombreuses merveilles d'architecture. Bien placé par rapport à place de catalyuna, ramblas et passeig de gracia qui sont des axes incontournables. Personnel courtois mais parlant peu le français. Aucunes dispositions prises par rapport au réveillon du 31 et restaurant de l'hôtel fermé.... chambres correctes mais mal insonorisées d'autant que parquet au sol. Pas de chaines françaises, télévision […] espagnole sur toutes les chaines sauf une infos. Voyage d'une semaine à Barcelone au sein de l'AC Diplomatic que ma compagne et moi avions choisi en raison de sa situation géographique (à côté d'un métro et en plein centre de Barcelone). La chambre était bien entretenue, le mobilier était impeccable tout comme la salle de bain. Le personnel (aimable) parlait notamment français, ce qui est un confort […] aussi. Les draps et les serviettes étaient changés tous les jours. Petit plus : le contenu du mini-bar est gratuit et quotidiennement fourni en cas de consommation. Le déjeuner est par contre cher mais en raison de sa proximité avec bon nombre de café, nous ne trouvions aucun intérêt à venir y manger. Don't buy the wifi for the room! Total rip off and it isn't cheap. It's nice to sit in the lobby area and use the wifi for free....it's a very comfy lobby with food and snacks! Location was excellent. Room was small but very clean. Bed was very comfortable. I would stay there again.
The hotel was at a central location and within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. The rooms were clean. However, we don't recommend the cont'l breakfast they offered. It was very expensive for runny eggs, juice, pastries and coffee. Also, it took several hours to check-in, because of the line and no communication with the receptionist. The location is the one redeeming feature of the hotel. It should be a 3 star hotel; the room furniture was not the best and front desk staff not the most friendly. While the hotel had some good features, it did not impress us as we had expected. The hallway to the room was austere in its lack of decoration. The modern decor would appeal to many, just not to us. I recommend that you use this hotel as a base but eat elsewhere. The hotel is in the center of Barcelona and is very convenient for touring. Barcelona is a beautiful city and Gaudi is the prime reason for visiting.

We stayed at the AC Diplomat in Barcelona on two different dates, both before & after a recent cruise sailing from the city. The rooms are impecable and the front desk very helpful and friendly - despite my limited Spanish. "Probably best location, amazed by great service."
This was my last hotel on my 2 week trip and the one I was the most impressed by the great service, very nice looking rooms and car garage. Also awesome location. We got it at a really good price that wouldn't justify getting any better hotels At all. Best Value
"Stay at AC Diplomatic"
Great hotel! We got a superior room, which was surprisingly large and easily accomodated two adults and two children. The view was great and the room was very clean. The staff were extremely helpful and the hotel was a two minute walk from the main shopping district of Barcelona, and a five minute walk from the Gothic District. Our family really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a great area close to everything. The staff spoke english well and they were relatively accomodating compared to other service people we encountered in Barcelona. We would definitely recommend the hotel.
The maid lost my chemotherapy and after I reported it no one even bothered to follow up or apologize. The hotel is pretty and clean the location is convenient to everything the rooms however are EXTREMELY LOUD. you can hear EVERYTHING, talking, shoes on the wood floor, doors slamming, toilets flushing. partying. many guests come in and out at all hours […] and party in their room, unable to sleep through the night. Hotel is excellent in every way: clean, elegant, good firm beds, wonderful service, quiet room (important in Barcelona) good coffee (but costs extra). Price of room is high but worth it. Train from airport stops only one block away from hotel, so you save about 60 euros on taxis (back and forth to airport). I really enjoyed this hotel the first time I stayed but not as much this time. I stayed 2 nights following my trans Atlantic cruise. I didn't recall hearing […] noise from other rooms previously, but I did on this stay. It was warm but I couldn't get the A/C to work. I wasn't supplied with towels the second day without asking. "Slightly disappointing"
Could have been a lot better. Small room. Bed makes a lot of noise. Gym a bit outdated. No iron in hotel? Must pay for ironing service. Free internet in lobby but very very slow. Long line at check-in. Service a bit indifferent. Redeeming quality-- the location is fantastic. Close to everything.
The location was very good and breakfast is value for money the only thing is that there is not a good choice of food at the restaurant

We spent 3 nights at the hotel and found it to be rather stark and somewhat unfriendly. When approached the staff was helpful and spoke English when they needed to. There was no visitor information for us as we were tourists. I guess Canada has a different approach to our visitors and make every effort to welcome them with information on dining spots, attractions, etc. We managed our own touring and locating what we needed even though we don't speak the language. A/C Diplomatic was fantastic. I've stayed in the Majestic twice before as well as the Meridien and Moritz.,The Majestic though more expensive I could here street noise and the bathrooms were much smaller though that hotel is more expensive. The Meridien is on La Rambla but there is so much more to see in Barcelona that the AC Diplomatic is a better […] location and out of 4 hotels I've stayed at, this is my favorite.The room was spotless, bathroom gorgeous dark green marble and glass. Great location. We wish our flight would have been on time as we lost a half day in Barcelona and at the hotel. Definitely will stay at this hotel when we return to Barcelona. We could walk to everything including with a 4 year old, la Rambla, Plaza Catalunya and more. Mini Bar a plus. Great view from Floor 8 while working out or sitting a the pool. Excellent service too. I don't normally write reviews, but the AC Diplomatic was special. From beginning to end, the hotel made sure I was taken care of. The bed was great, the bathroom was sparkling and large. It's a great place to start a walking tour of Barcelona from, which I did every day I was there. It's also really close to some great bars and fantastic restaurants.
