Ne correspondait pas à un 4 étoiles. L'hôtel Charles qui est un 3 étoiles était d'un meilleur niveau, sur tout les plans. L'hôtel Gold Buda correspondait à un bon 2 étoiles.

the hotel is very nice, although the room we were in was noisy with traffic, the air con wasn't working, and we had very noisy neighbours in the room next door, they were still going in and outof the terrace at 4 in the morning being very vocal, with nothing said from reception. that said it is close to town and the gellert hill. easy reach by bus to […] everywhere. breakfast was plentiful. wouldn't hesitate to recommend. We loved Hotel Buda. It was small but we were treated very special. They provided breakfast every morning, even packed a breakfast for us when we were leaving early. It was about 2 blocks to a bus stop and they had tickets there for the bus and attractions. This hotel is located in the castle district and reminded us of a small castle. They gave us sandwiches with moldy bread. They charge 5% extra for using a credit card. They charge 1 euro per person per night extra. If you want to check out late or check in early, they'll let you do it for 10 euro extra.

We selected this hotel due to its proximity to Old Buda's city and downtown region and we were not disappointed. The hotel was clean and buzzing with activity as this was Hungary's Formula 1 weekend. Our room was located in an adjacent building which was partly owned by private residences as well as the hotel. We were escorted to our room by the hotel […] staff and shown our room. There was no elevator in this second building and moving four heavy pieces of luggage without help from the front desk was not appreciated. Breakfast was nice as it represented a typical European Continental style breakfast and our kids enjoyed all aspects of it. Our hotel room (apartment style) was large and comfortable as it had beds for each child and a queen size bed for us. The carpets however did look a little used and worn and although may have been cleaned, can probably be changed as well. The kitchen had all the basic essentials to cook with, eat from and wash everything. Using a natural gas stove was challenging and using a lighter versus matches would have made life easier - but all worked out in the end. Toilet and washroom was clean however a shower curtain would have been appreciated. There were enough towels (but no face cloths) for all of us. Free WIFI access was a tremendous bonus as we made use of it every night with our net-book laptop and blackberry phone. At checkout, we had to pay for the parking and the Tourist tax imposed by the City of Budapest. The bill was not printed after I paid and the clerk at the front desk seemed startled when I asked for one. He later produced one and handed it to us as we were taking pictures in front of the Hotel. Very good service and good loacation for trips around the city.

Good hotel. Our appartment was not available when we arrioved, however the staff were prepared to give us two rooms for the first night. The appartment when we got it was just right. I would rate this is a good 3 stars, with 4 star service. Great staff, very helpful.

We arrived mid-evening after dinner and the host warmly welcomed us with tea and fruit on the hotel's patio. We had a triple room which was small but adequate. We misunderstood that the room had a/c and because it was quite warm we needed the window open, but as our room was located just above a busy street it was very noisy. Our second night we were […] able to keep the window closed and the street noise didn't bother us. The staff were very helpful in suggesting tours of Budapest, giving directions and providing local bus tickets to purchase. A safe at the front desk is available for a small fee. The hotel is conveniently located a couple blocks from a bus stop that takes you across the bridge over the Danube River to the Pest side and a pick-up location for the Hop-On, Hop-Off Bus Tour (use the "red" bus service--it includes a boat ride). there is a bus station about few min walk from the hotel. the hotel's restaurant is only open for breakfast. breakfast is nice btw. but there is a 24 hrs conveninet shop right next to the hotel. hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. overall it was a really nice stay in budapest.

Friendly and competent staff but by Western standards the hotel rates at 2-Star accommodation rather than 4. Well worn furnitures and carpets, minimum roomand bathroom amenities. Breakfast provisions basic but acceptable. Children friendly and cost effective offering for non-demanding travellers.

Very nice little hotel. Conveniently located within walking distance to bus stop and one of the bridges going over to Pest. Excellent staff, very friendly and helpful.

Top class stay! Desk attendants were very helpful and knowledgeable about the sights in the area. We would definitely stay here again...and tack on another day or two. Budapest is a must on everyone's travel.

we stayed one night at the Gold Hotel, before a river cruise. The front desk staff was great answering questions and selling us tickets to the mineral baths. The restaurant downstairs had good, basic food at a decent price, perfect for jet lagged folk like us. You can walk down the hill to the river and wander about on the Buda side.

One of the strengths of this hotel is its staff. All spoke very good English, were very helpful and went out of their way to ensure that one had an enjoyable stay in Budapest. We would recommend this boutique hotel highly. Included good buffet breakfast. Fairly close to a bus stop

The apartment portion of the hotel is not very luxe but the customer service is the best I've had in all of Europe! The front desk staff will get you any information you need. They can get you bus tickets, massage appointments, tickets to a spa and much more. They speak English very well and they are friendly and helpful! Plus the restaurant downstairs […] is excellent. Mukava pikku hotelli. Lyhyt matka Bestin puolelle.

Vi var der sidst i februar måned. Hotellet er ikke nyt men pænt og rent. Vi oplevede fugt på værelset om morgenen. Personalet er utrolig søde og hjælpsomme og gode til engelsk. De billeder vi havde set på Hotels.com lever ikke helt op til virkeligheden, om det så er nogle gale billeder eller fordi vi var der i lav sæsonnen ved jeg ikke. Den ene aften […] var restaurenten på hotellet lukket, ærgerligt, for de lavede ellers udemærkede mad og vi havde ikke lyst til at tage ud, men det blev vi nødt til. Det er nemt at komme til centrum fra hotellet der går busser fra hotellet og ned til metro, sporvogne o.s.v. Er man i tvivl er personalet meget hjælpsomme og receptionen har åbent i 24 timer. vi bokade ett 3 bäddsrum i denna 4 sjärnig klassade hotell. Vi fick en appartman för 4 personer i den närliggande flerfamiljs- bostadshus. Det var funktionellt med bekväma sängar. Vi var tvungna att ringa efter rumservice för att fylla på toalettpapper. O hotel está no lado Buda, próximo à Cidadela e de fácil acesso para nós que estávamos de carro. O estacionamento é seguro e de bom preço. A internet é boa e grátis. O acesso a Peste é possível a pé, descobrindo caminhos interessantes até o Castelo. Se preferir, o ônibus passa na porta até o centro.

Rigtig hyggeligt hotel med en god og forholdsvis stor morgenmadsbuffet. Ligger i god afstand til de fleste seværdigheder i indre by. Lille afstand til Gellertbjerget og det royale slot.

Unser Appartement - 2 Zimmer mit je 2 Betten plus Küche, Esszimmer und Bad (WC getrennt) - war nur eine Minute von der nächsten Bushaltestelle (z.B. direkt zum Ostbahnhof) entfernt und 20 Gehminuten vom Burgpalst und dem Pester Zentrum (Elisabethbrücke) entfernt. Die Zimmer waren sehr geräumig und sauber. Pro Person wurden täglich Badetuch und Handtuch […] gestellt. Generelt rigtig dejligt hotel, men ligger desværre lige ud til en meget trafikeret vej, hvilket giver meget støj.

a nice but noisy situated hotel. lying on the Buda side we always had to go by bus to go anywhere. transport was exellent, especially because it is free for EU zitizens over 65, and the hotel is 2 stops from everything. bedlamps difficult to read by, only one chair in the room, but we asked for another one, which was no problem. the room was nice and […] noisy, good beds and sheets and towels, nice bathroom. breakfast was boring, had to ask for boiling water for the tea every morning, but only smile and friendlyness from the staff. it is true as mentioned by others that this hotel seems to be a 2 star hotel, but a nice one of the kind. marianne Danmark Lisez la suite

Mycket trevlig och hjälpsam personal. Kan upplevas lite störande av biltrafiken utanför. Bra kommunikationer till centrum. Frukosten ok, lite för mycket söta kakor.

Well The walls were a little thin and the room I was given was next to reception where you could hear everything so I upgraded to a much nicer room on the third floor. If you get disturbed by road noise then bring earplugs or insist on a room on the opposite side of the hotel (1/3 of the hotel is quiet) The room I was in had the round tower section […] in adn the road is extreemly busy with 24/7 traffic and many ambulances. The location a 15 min walk (uphill) to the citadel where the best views of the city are to be found. To get to town means taking a rickety bus for 5 mins or a 20 min walk. the busses come regularly though The hotel was clean and staff helpful, beds comfortable and breakfast was surprisingly good for this type of establishment: They had a sort of hungarian style English breakfast as well as 4 different sorts of bread, cheeses, cold meats and cakes?? as well as tea (hot and iced!) juice cereals and of course coffee which, I was told was rather good. Das Hotel liegt direkt an einer Haupstrasse, also ist die Lage des Zimmers ist sehr wichtig für einen erholsamen Schlaf. De hadde en veldig god service, med gang avstand til Gellert høyden. Frokosten var enkel og kjedelig.

Det var et hyggeligt ophold, der blev skiftet håndklæder hver dag og reddet seng. morgenmaden på hotelet var helt fint.

Upåklagelig og dygtig vejledning i reception især vedrørende befordring i byen. Det er nemt at komme til centrum og offentlig transport fungerer godt. Morgenmaden var mindre spændende. Rengøringen var meget god. Vedligeholdelse under middel. Køkkenet i lejligheden var ikke brugbart til madlavning: Halvdefekt komfur og mangel på redskaber mv. Het grote nadeel van dit hotel is dat het aan een drukke doorgaande weg ligt, wat zelfs met de (enkelglas) ramen gesloten veel geluidsoverlast geeft. Direkt in de omgeving van het hotel is er verder weinig behalve het congrescentrum; naar Pest lopen is ca. 20 min. De badkamer was schoon maar nogal verouderd. Het personeel was wel erg vriendelijk.

Bra beliggenhet. Fin frokost. Billig. God service.

Yderst hjælpsomt personale. Pænt og rent. Ikke luksus men man god værdi for pengene. Vi savnede en værdiboks på værelset. Godt trådløst internet på værelset. Ligger godt for bus til Pest og seværdigheder på Buda-siden.

Koselig lite hotell i Buda. Meget sentralt beliggende ettersom det er bussholdeplass like i nærheten, bussene til sentrum tar få minutter og har hyppige avganger. Hyggelig betjening med gode språgkunnskaper og god service. Bra frokost. Det eneste som trekker litt ned er badet som trenger oppussing og at det ikke finnes papirkurv i rommet. Das Gold Hotel Buda in Budapest hat ein gutes Preis-Leistungsniveau. Es liegt ca. 5 Minuten mit dem Bus vom Zentrum entfernt. Die Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und äusserst hilfsbereit. Die Zimmer sind für ein 4* Hotel eher kleiner, jedoch war die Einrichtung gut (Badezimmer modern, Betten sind gut, TV mit deutschen Sendern).

The only positive with this hotel was the staff - friendly and helpful. Otherwise it was a poor experience; noisy, stains on the pillow case, smelly and not a very nice location. I would not recommend this hotel.
