Excellent hôtel situé dans un environnement boisé et calme. Superbe piscine et belle salle de gym. Hébergement très plaisant et commode pour visiter les sites touristiques situés à Tarrington, à conditions toutefois d'être motorisé.

Tres belle chambre spacieuse et confortable. Belle et grande salle de bain avec baignoire jacuzzi. Parking securise a l'arriere de l'hotel. Proche des sites d'interet du Bronx comme le Zoo par exemple. Excellent petit-dejeuner varie et copieux. Personnel agreable et serviable.
Des frais pour toute personne supplémentaire peuvent être facturés et dépendent de la politique de l'hôtel.

"Stamford La Quinta - April 2012"
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The hotel met or exceeded what we expected for the price in the NYC area. The hotel is extremely easy to access from I-95 and there is an adjoining diner with good food, you won't need to venture out to eat if you don't want to. The continental breakfast was another plus. That said, we had a couple of small problems. We […] had booked a queen room with a pull out couch for our daughter but her bed was not made when we arrived, nor was there any bedding for us to use. The person at the front desk was all alone and it took a while for her to round up and deliver sheets, pillows and a blanket. The other problem was the lock for the door to our room. We discovered that the door sounded like it latched and locked but could be pushed open without a key. The problem was the striker plate in the door frame, one of the screws was missing, and you had to make an extra effort to be sure that the latch actually engaged the striker plate. We were offered a move to another room as soon as we reported it. We were happy with our experience overall and would stay there again. It will be a pleasant surprise when we return if they have gone through and addressed the little details that would have made our stay an even better experience. Lisez la suite

The first thing I noticed was that the housekeeper(probably) had left a dirty/used facecloth on the floor to the entrance to the room. The walls were thin, you could hear everything anyone said in the hallwy, like they were in your room. The bathroom floor looked like it hadn't been swept or mopped in a while, there were what looked like paint chips, […] and a long black hair on the floor and it was dusty in the corners. "Simple Stay"
good hotel for a basic, brief stay. not vacation material. but it is simple and affordable. nice sized room and bathroom. VERY courteous staff

The room was dirty...bathroom smelled as if it was never cleaned ..we couldn't shower ....also when I open the sofabed old food fell on the mattress.we couldn't use it either but had no choice but to stay for the night with my wife and 2 kids.

We stayed here during a snow storm, the staff removed the snow from the parking lot which was very helpful. The hotel was clean & staff was very friendly.
The room smelled like smoke and I calle to be switched and they never called me back

While the room we stayed in at this hotel was comfortable, the bathroom was not that clean and the staff could have been a little more personable- I waited at the check-in desk for about 5 minutes before the employee even spoke to me.
It is a nice hotel and really out of my expectation at this price. The room is spacious and neek and I have a wonderful night over there.
Plain, simple accomodations. Whoever did my room did a good job.

Honestly I decided to stay at La Quinta because of positive experiences in the past at other properties. I feel like I could have paid $30 less and got the same terrible quality of room elsewhere. The room was filthy and I wouldn't sit on that couch, ever. the room smelled terrible. almost like a strong lestoil smell. the hotel itself looks like it is in need of some updates. elevator dumpy etc.

My first night was ok when I got up in the morning I had very little hot water I took a shower with 90degree water at best I returned from my meeting at 5:00pm to discover that that was till no hot water ? I contacted the front desk and she offer to have me moved I explained to her that I didn't want to move since I was tired and why she couldn't send […] someone to the room to check the shower since I did I have hot water in my sink she said that there was no one in engineering to come up and I would need to wait until the next day I told her that that was not excepatble to have that kind of customer service .She reply that I can move you and I declined since it was not my problem that you had no engineering coverage after 5:00pm where is your customer service ??? If I had read other reviews I could avoided staying at this LQ. This hotel would be ok at low dollar value per night, but at the rate per night I paid, I would expect that the floors would be vacuumed and the floors swept. This hotel needs a "deep-cleaning." I didn't dare let my bare skin touch any surfaces. And like other reviews, there are a lot of […] issues with this hotel that can be overlooked at less money: walking up a flight of stairs to get to an elevator, inattentive staff, poor housekeeping. "not good stay"
the room type I registered was not available, the service staff where great but the hotel rooms are old and and the inside needs a good overall. the exterior has been worked on which was very deceiving when inside. the bed are old and bath well very old. very disapointed.
"Great location - terrible accomodations"
I was given a room that had a bad, funky smell therefore requested a new room. The desk clerk stated they did not have any rooms available so I told him I would cancel then set in his lobby to change my reservations. He suddenly came up with another room that we checked to make sure it was good and we stayed. The continental breakfast was bad and the […] conditions in the breakfast area were horrendous. "Nice hotel in tough neighborhood."
The hotel is just off the interstate in a not great part of town. Hotel itself was fine, except you have to carry your bag up 2 small flights of stairs to get to the elevator.

"I was very disappointed."
I heard good things about this hotel chain. But, this specific one was a total disappointment. The hotel smells with the cleasning solution. The smelled like someone was smoking in the room. Too many loud voices and noises from surrounding rooms. I would not stay in this hotel even if it is less than half what I was charged/night.

My room had no telephone book or city maps. When I asked the front desk if I could look at theirs, they said they had neither and brushed me off.

I booked two nights at this hotel because we lost power due to hurricane Irene. First thing I noticed was a barking dog in the next room. Next my door had a large opening at the bottom so I could smell the smokers from the hall way. Finally, the hotel is too close to I-95. If you happen to book through the internet, you have a good chance of being placed […] in one of the rooms on the side of the highway. Made the reservation 5 minutes before arriving. Desk man was able to get me into my room without delay.The breakfast was very good and plentiful. I will stay there again
"Stay Away"
This was not our first choice hotel. Hurricane Irene had all vicinity hotels booked to capacity. The reception person handed us our keys and from there on it was down hill. Our room was filthy. The carpet upon check in was not clean and four days later, despite asking numerous times, was still filthy. The bathroom was never cleaned. The bedding was […] wholly inadequate. "Family Staty"
I stayed at this hotel with my wife, six year old and four year old. Booking the hotel through hotels.com was really quick and easy. One reason we booked it was for the pool amenity. To be quite honest the pool was totally unfit for swimmers. There was a considerable amount of human hair in the pool and the pumps did not work. 30 minutes after my children […] began to swim the pool was shut down until seven o'clock the next morning when the maintanance person was due to come in to fix it. The pool was then shutdown indefinitely becaasue the ceiling was leaking and there were "several other problems". It was apparent these problems were pre-existing and no one bothered to fix them. Needless to say the pool never was fixed and my children were unable to swim again. Not acceptable. The staff didn't seem concerned about it which was disappointing. The bathroom fan in my room also didn't work and because of that it set the alarm off in the room due to the steam from the shower. We only stayed one night. "You get what you pay for"
Here are the problems I see with this hotel 1. Old but needs a good cleaning 2. Staff is extremely disorganized 3. Having the NYC name in the title is misleading. It is still a good drive 45 minutes into Manhattan or a train ride of 50 minutes into Midtown.

Easy access to the interstate, NYC and surrounding amenities...great food in the adjacent Diner.

I had meetings in Stamford and Greenwich and didn't wish to pay $325 to stay at the Delamar. The LaQuinta was clean, prices not too high, just off 95, and had continental breakfast. Not the lap of luxury but comparatively cheap accomodations.

Hotel (along with most of Stamford) seemed to be under renovation (Jun 2011). Neighborhood is a little sketchy (lots of security cameras on site). We had bikes and roof carrier on car - nothing was touched. Hotel is pristinemand staff courteous and competent. Our room, beds, TV, pillows, spreads, bathroom - clean and comfortable - all like new. Looked […] like they have a great indoor pool (did not use). Diner restaurant (attached) was aces (busy, good and good value). Ask for room on South side (away from I-95). Excellent location for doing business/sightseeing in Stamford Ct as well as NYC. Spacious, clean and comfortable rooms, excellent Internet. Friendly staff. Small in-door swimming pool which I did not try as water did not look really well maintained.
