"Hôtel branché à prix cassé !"Avis d'un client Hotels.com envoyé le 30 avr. 2012

Tous les hôtels à San Diego"Very secluded - no need to travel off the resort."
We were impressed with the resort. There are 5 pools, one which is 18 and over. The main pool has a bar and they pour drinks well. The gym is small but has what you need to get a workout. I liked the spa but my wife didn't. It was a little expensive. I would also not eat at the expensive restaurant - I would eat at the Bar and Grill. They have the same […] food, better service and less expensive. Also - bring your own bike because when you rent theirs, it's minimum 1 hour. We did the round trip 3 times and still had time left over. Bringing your own bike, you can go off the grounds and see more. It's a ver peaceful place. Romantic. Bring some wine and cheese and have a nice picnic on the beach or in the gardens. This is a must go back place for us. Lisez la suite

"Too much for quality of hotel"
Stay was just okay. It was expensive; we didn't have hot water; tv couldn't tilt toward bed; had to pay $32 a night for parking; and all of the amenities cost more money.
"Will go back"
When we went, the weather turned cloudy and cold so we didn't get to enjoy the facilities as much as we wanted. There is a lot to do there for any type of get away. I would highly recommend it. One drawback we had was we received a disabled room with a bathroom that had no tub and seperation so everytime we took a shower, the entire bathroom was we […] t. Lisez la suite

We had a great stay and will be back. The room (#165} had been recently upgraded and the beds are very comfortable. We ate at the Barefoot Grill for breakfast and dinner and had delicious food both times. The service was prompt, courteous and attentive. The proximity to Mission Bay is a big benefit benefit

Room was sold as a garden view but actually faced a motorway, I asked to change it but was ignored, staff were not friendly on the whole.

"Paradise Point Resort"
Lovely spot. Meticulously maintained grounds and surroundings. Rooms were "out of date" and in need of remodeling. Parking fees are high and totally unnecessary.
"fantastic room"
The room and service were great and the surrounding scenery is beautiful!
"nice"
Nice but $32 parking per day, expensive
"Great Location and convenient floor plan"
My wife and I have a 5 month old baby. The one level layout with assigned parking next to the duplex/2 unit buildings was very convenient! The location is great-seemed like everything we did was close. Overall, the rooms were fine-everything in our room was fairly recently remodeled except the bathroom, which needs to be redone. Liked the landscaping […] and the restaurant was good enough for a hotel. Overall, I would say that at the price we paid and for our over all needs this hotel was a good value. Lisez la suite

"A wonderful stay"
I usually stay at 5 star resorts & this place holds their own.. Big time service is impeccable. You must get a bayside junior suit. It's fun family friendly if you want, but I went for romantic and they are able to juggle both successfully! I never write reviews but this place deserves one! Thanks for a great weekend. It was magical.
"Older Resort"
If you're looking for a "high tech" resort...this isn't it. Grounds are nice but rooms are dated. It has a GREAT STAFF and went out of their way to help.I'd say its worth the rate paid. Location and things to do, if you like the water, are great for an week's stay.
"Nice place to stay"
Our room was Lanai Garden King. It's pretty big room, clean and remodeled. Modern furniture. The only thing i don't like is the smell of old building in the room, the AC is noisy. The hotel landscape is very nice and relax like tropical paradise in Hawaii. Parking rate is too expensive $28/night. We booked the room with special discount,54% discount […] , so it's worth it. I would not pay full price to stay here. Lisez la suite
"quiet, cozy, out-of-the ordinary hotel."
We loved our stay at Paradise Point. The customer service was among the best I've ever had. The hotel is older, but completely updated. The beds were very comfortable, as were the pillows. We loved how quiet it was. Not your average hotel with people running up and down the hall ways and doors slamming. These are little bungalow/duplex type rooms. No […] noise from adjoining neighbors. Your car is outside your door. No carpet, but clean pergo. Highly recommend to bring slippers as the floor gets really cold. Individual heating/cooling units, not central air. Small fridge in room. Wished it had a microwave. Gorgeous immaculate grounds. We ate at their restaurant called Baleen. Awesome dinner, pricey but worth it. Any minor complaints we had, the staff was willing to comp to make us happy. Since it was my birthday, they comp'ed our parking. We can't wait to return. Lisez la suite
"Hotel Paradise in San Diego"
The grounds and location are amazing. The front desk was very respectful and kind. The ammenities are awsome and all employees were very nice. The only complaint I have is, the room was not as nice as I hoped for, for the amount I paid.
"Tourist hotel that's over rated"
The rooms and the property are just alright. My colleague was charged for a king bed garden room and it had a double bed and was minuscule The rooms were dated and mine smelled of mildew. Nothing special and unless you want to be right next to Seaworld there are many other hotels in the San Diego area that are better
This was our first visit to the hotel, I really mean resort, and we loved it. We came on the heals of a rain storm and it was on the cold side (January) but if it were any warmer I would have thought I was in Hawaii. The people were great and the rooms were very nice and comfortable. If you look you can see signs that the resort is 50 years old but […] they do a great job of keeping the place nice. Bring active wear as there are a ton of things to do. Lisez la suite

"A nice getaway"
I only stayed one night just to get away from home a little longer. Everything was fine. The only drawback in my experience was room service. I bought and brought my food back and realized I had no utensils. I called room service asking for one. The operator on the call was confused and didn't know if they could get that to me but would find out. I […] didn't hear anything for 30 minutes so I called again asking for it. Different operator this time and was looking at the queue and sounded like my request never got entered in. They called me 5 minutes later that someone would be there and they delivered. If the opportunity to go back came, I would come back here and hopefully for longer. Lisez la suite
"Excellent getaway"
Great location...secluded but short drive to everything in San Diego. Had a room maintenance issue but the issue was promptly resolved with an upgrade to a superior room. Highly recommended!
"3 ***"
Although I've got an upgrade, but the room was very cold,no carpet in the bedroom,no privacy in living room,I would give it 3*** not more.
"gfood for business meeting/event"
I spent 5 days at a business event held for a group of about 100. The bedrooms are super spacious and internet access fast. The meeting space was adequate. What made it nice for a 5 day meeting was the various locations to have lunches set up outdoors in nice environments which made for a very pleasant changes from the hours sitting indoors during presentations. […] there are also plenty of leisure options - from pool to spa to hot tub to gym - but I only saw them in passing, didn't have time to experience any of them. Lisez la suite

"Great retreat"
This was a most peaceful and restorative spot. While the room and service were quite satisfactory our favorite part was the beauty of the grounds...very tropical and beautifully maintained.
"Paradise Point San Diego - Awesome"
Stayed there for New Year's Eve and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel and beautiful amenities. Would be happy to recommend.
We stayed in 2 units, an executive suite and a connecting with 2 bedrooms and a living room, Unfortunately, the physical accommodations were still a let down. PPR bills itself as AAA 4-diamonds, but the AAA tourbook only gives it 3. It was vastly overpriced for the quality: - The much-touted recent multimillion dollar renovations had the feel of being […] done on the cheap, just enough to be attractive at first glance, but actually pretty shabby upon closer inspection (chipped paint, unpatched drywall dents, falling-down mirrors, cheap mismatched door knobs, etc.) - The heater in 1 room was a very noisy wall unit from the 1970s (not central air) that roared loudly all night long - Only 2 pools were heated, the other 3 were not. - The main pool’s hot tub was filthy: filled with brown, cloudy, murky water, that many familes would not let their children enter - One of the first rooms we tried (we switched it to an “executive suite” at a significant upgrade fee) had broken curtain rods and many other cosmetic issues - The living room furniture was unmatched, and dirty (sofa cushions) - The furnishings included a broken mirror leaning (not hanging) against the wall, a rickety lounger that rocked when sat upon, and a filthy sofa (once green seat cushions turned brown with dirt) without any throw pillows to relax on. - The only shampoo was in a wall-mounted dispenser in the standalone shower, but no bottles for those using the tub (when we asked the maid, she said sorry, there wasn’t any) - The bath towels were very uncomfortable – not soft and fluffy, but hard and uncomfortable, with weird, ½” wide “ribs” that were annoying to the touch Think of an older, time-worn resort, with a superficial coat of make up. It would have been OK at half the price, but not what it is charging. The next time in San Diego, we are going back to the Del or the Hyatt, both of which we have visited in the past, and are much better values. The only first class thing about Paradise Point were the peo Lisez la suite

Really liked the hotel and its location .. will be back soon.
"Took family for quick weekend"
Nice place - kind of reminded me a of nice hotels in Costa Rica. Simple, clean rooms with nice tile or wood floors. Service was very good. Decent bar/restaurant on site. They do charge for parking which is an odd annoyance for a hotel in a non-urban location.
The only thing I have to comlain about is the shower had someones else is hair in it...The over all hotel was great... I will be back...

hotel is vast but the special thing about the surrounding is the access to the beach unfettered and unencumbered by any large buiidlngs that is very special and great
"Run down and out of date"
I was so excited to go to Paradise last weekend. We had friends and family all meeting in San Diego. The hotel was way less appealing than the website promised. My room smelled of must and the fridge and mini-kitchette area were not stocked with ANYTHING. No glasses or coffee cups. The only saving grace for my room was the gorgeous view. I reserved […] a bayside room and it was all that I had hoped for the view. The bathroom and shower were very outdated and the shower head was horrible and sprayed all over the bathroom, making a mess everytime I showered. This hotel needs to be completely re-done. The real estate is priceless, but it is obvious that they tried to re-do portions of the resort and left a lot of things out. The best way to describe the property: Lipstick on a pig. Disappointing... Lisez la suite
"Good Location"
Not a 4-Star from my experience, but a solid 3. The layout of the rooms provides a good feeling of separation from your neighbors. Parking is a mess considering we paid $14 per day for it. Another resort guest with a rental car parked in our paid spot for 2 of the 3 days we stayed. We called security twice and wasted a lot of time dealing with the situation. […] The parking was then comped, but the trouble was a "fun killer". Lisez la suite
Our room was noise. The resort needs to be updated, both the rooms and the grounds.
"Paradise Point Hotel"
This is a great hotel if you dont mind the signs of wear and tear on the property. The check in was very slow and dissorganized and the parking was over priced. There is a free parking for guest right next to where you pay your $25 per night fee to park. The restaurants are nice and so are the meandering walk ways through out the property. The room […] was comfortable but the bathrooms were just old over painted walls and fixtures. The air conditioner was falling out of the wall and the adirondack chairs in the patio were old , dirty and missing a table. The hotel looks better at nite. This is a great spot for kids to play because they do not limit the size of toys in the pools area it can be rather crazy. The vacation spot is a great spot as you can walk right to the beach from the parking area. We had a gret time but the check in was a mess and the bathrooms were not great. Lisez la suite
"Pay Up!!!"
The one thing I will say is they had very comfortable beds. Other than that I was shocked at all the additional costs. Parking, resort fee and a water taxi that you can use only if you buy your Sea World tickets from their store for example. The floor where the beds were are filthy and there was liter around my patio all four nights that we were there. […] Pools were nice though. Foods and drinks prices are way higher than the touristy sites in the area. Lisez la suite
Dated decor Needs updating and limited dining
"My daughter was in heaven"
We had a wonderful stay! The staff was so king and accomodating. My 2 1/2 year old daughter loved the pool and the grounds. There is so much to do and it is so close to everything (even though there is really no need to leave the resort)! We will be back for a longer stay!
"Great for families"
My girlfriend and I recently stayed at Paradise Point for 4 nights and enjoyed our stay. It was very different than we expected as the "rooms" are basically separate small cabins. This was nice because we were able to enjoy the weather as we walked to the in-complex restaurants/facilities. Additionally, we weren't bothered by the possibility of noisy […] neighbors. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. The housecleaning wasn't awesome - they basically just changed the sheets each day and provide towels. We noticed that as we went to the beach, any sand that was accidentally tracked in was never cleaned. Overall, the resort is great. It is a perfect location to enjoy other San Diego attractions or simply do the activities offered by the resort. I can see why families would enjoy it as there are a wide variety of kid-friendly activities (small beach, mini-golf, bikes, etc.) and extremely close to Sea World and Pacific Beach (get fish tacos at Surf Taco - thank me later!). Cheers! Lisez la suite

"Paradise Point Resort and Spa -beautiful location"
My teenage daughters and I and a close family friend spent 3 nights at this resort in San Diego. The grounds are lovely and there are plenty of activities, but note that this hotel is on Mission Bay and not the ocean. The hotel is comfortable and very clean, but the 2 Queen bed room we had had very little space to store your belongings. We had to put […] almost everything on the floor. Also, the sliding patio door had no screen. Not secure against bugs or the critters that a sign in the room warned us about. We enjoyed our stay, but felt that this is more a place for families with children who do not intend to spend much time at the ocean or at any of San Diego's other attractions. Lisez la suite
The resort staff was great, but the housekeeping was poor. Paradise Point is overrated. It should be a 3 star rating. The rooms need an upgrade. The food on the premises was not so good, and was expensive. The only highlight of the trip, was my kids had a great time in the pool. Paradise Point is too expense for a property with no amenities. It definately […] should not be considered a resort. Lisez la suite
