"Small Roon"
The roon was to small it was very hard to acomodate two people in it
Thanks so much for your feedback, as an historic building we do indeed have a varied layout and some of our rooms are indeed suitable for our business guests. That said we do have some amazing rooms that over look the city, park and lake and are indeed larger. We do look forward to having you back soon so you may experience again

Beautiful building; great service; fun location
"Burnham Hotel Chicago - excellent location"
I've stayed 2 nights in the hotel. It is perfectly located in the Loop, less than 5 minutes walk from Millennium park, a minute walk to Red/Blue underground lines and 2 mins from EL Train. Less than 15 mins walk from the Magnificent Mile. Atwood cafe on the ground floor had nice selection of meals, and I found pork belly very nice, mmmm... Kids alert […] - Disney store is just across the road - be forewarned. Room was nice and comfortable, however a bit small I thought, and bathroom had slight issues with the showers, but other than that was excellent. Also, it's quiet overall, I was on the 15th floor (out of 15) and had no problems sleeping even though it's very central and my room was facing the street. Final note - make sure you visit the Bean/Cloud Gate in the Millennium Park - it's straight down the street - I've been 3 times there during my short stay. It brings smile to my face even now when I think about it. Lisez la suite

"First Anniversary"
Spent our weekend getaway to Chicago at the Burnham. Our second time there, won't be our last. The staff went the extra mile (and beyond) to make our stay special. We highly recommend the Burnham.
"Lovely restoration"
The Hotel Burnham is well located in Chicago--only a few blocks from Millennium Park and across the street from the original Marshall Field's Department Store (now Macy's). Both are must see stops. The Burnham is a former office building and retains its early 20th century detailing. The rooms are small (we were in a deluxe queen) but adequate--the sheets […] and toiletries are nice. We moved to a higher floor because the street noise in our 2ned floor room was too much for us. The hotel accommodated our request graciously. Lisez la suite

"Hotel Burnham"
Very friendly Front desk helpful with directions and advice on things to do.
"Hotel Burnham in Chicago"
We recently stayed at Hotel Burnham for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed it. The location was perfect - walking distance to everything and just off the beaten track of busy, hectic Michigan Ave. The hotel itself is gorgeous and real testament to the beauty of architecture in Chicago. It is small enough that the front desk and front door staff all get to […] know who you are. Also, I would highly recommend the Segway Experience tour - it was really fun and informative. "Excellent Weekend Getaway"
The hotel is well located in downtown Chicago. The staff are very helpful. There is free coffee in the morning and a daily free wine reception for all guests. The rooms are very clean and enjoyable. The traffic outside is noticeable but this is par for an old building downtown. Overall, a great stay.
"My new favorite hotel"
This hotel was terrific - great rooms, cordial and helpful staff (OK, the bartender in the lobby lounge was kind of a grump), and so perfectly located next to everything. I plan to stay here every time I visit Chicago from now on.

"Loved this historical landmark-turned-hotel"
Being a Chicago architecture and history buff not withstanding, this hotel offers quiet, comfortable rooms that bely its location on an extremely busy street. Within easy walking distance are Millennium Park, Lake Michigan, The Art Institute, and many other visit-worthy sites. The restaurant downstairs serves a sublime brunch. Can't wait to go back […] ! "Hotel Burnham in Chicago-great location, nice room"
I was really pleased with the Hotel Burnham. The service was great, from the valet to the front desk, and our room was bigger than expected and well decorated. It even had a little sofa in the queen "suite". The location was so great-close to Millenium park, the art institute, and not too far from navy pier either. We had our toddler with us and most […] of the staff were so friendly to our wee one. Overall I was very happy and would stay there again. Lisez la suite
Pros: The Hotel Burnham has a great location in the Loop. You are within 2 blocks from 2 different El stops (Blue Line and the Red Line) and only a 5-10 minute walk from Millennium Park, the Art Institute and Grant Park. The neighborhood is very safe and there are lots of places nearby to grab breakfast or a grab-n-go sandwich. The Hotel is very clean […] and the front desk staff is extremely nice and helpful. The room was very comfortable. Cons: I do not recommend the Atwood Cafe at the Hotel. It is very overpriced and the service is slow. Walk 2-3 blocks down Washington Street to the Corner Bakery or Hannah's Bretzel's. Also, our wakeup call never came, so you may want to have a backup alarm set just in case. Lisez la suite
"Great value in the Chicago Loop"
Pros: * Very nicely appointed hotel * Standard Kimpton theme * Easy access, fast and free wifi * Free wine tasting, morning coffee service * Good location, 1 block from Subway, near several restaraunts, etc * Decent view from the rooms (I was on the 4th floor; higher rooms may have been nicer) * Great amenities * Good price for the area Cons: * Restaurant […] was VERY expensive * Room service even more expensive. Example: Large Coffee = $7. Add 20% tip, 10.25% tax and $3.50 delivery means one cup of coffee was $13!! * Rooms are very nicely decorated, but very small * Curtains were a hassle to open/close (bigger annoyance than it sounds like) Had 1 "bad experience" at the hotel. Hard to blame the hotel cleaning crew for this (and I didn't bother to complain to the front desk) but it still needs to be said because it was very disgusting: When I went to move the magazines off of the desk to set up my laptop, there was a lot of lotion stuck between them (at least, I hope it was only lotion). One of the magazines had a picture of an attractive woman on top, so it was quite obvious how the magazines had been used. Lisez la suite

"Hotel Burnham in Chicago--class & convenience!!"
I would have to say it was probably the cleanest, classiest, and big city convenient hotel my wife and I have ever stayed in. The service was top-rate. I can definitely say it will be our destination stay anytime we return to Chicago!

"the burnham hotel-right in the middle of downtown"
the hotel is clean and well maintained. the staff is extremely freindly and helpful. the rooms are small, but comfortable. the hotel is over a hundred years old, but has been beautifully restored. great central location. close to milleium park, the navy pier and all the downtown chicago sights. also very close to the el, if you are coming into or going […] out of o'hare or midway. "Small room, nice location"
Stayed four days on a business trip. The hotel was clean and well appointed. It's an older building that has been restored with a 30s-40s feel. It's in the theatre district just across from the Joffrey Ballet and the Chicago Theatre. Aside from the room being typically small for the biggest cities, everything was fine. If you like Italian food, try […] Trattoria No.10 right around the corner at 10 N. Dearborn. Lisez la suite

"great hotel, service, and location, but small room"
great service and location; staff very friendly and helpful; close to train, bus, cafe, theater, park; room was very small for 4 people but everything else was so wonderful that we would consider staying again
"wow!"
What a stay! I loved this hotel. The staff were extremely kind and knew who we were by the first day. The room was spotless and the maid left us a little hand-written note to call her if we needed anything (which we didn't). The view was amazing and the robes were a riot - leopard and zebra striped! It was a huge contrast to the class of the hotel and […] really made my day. The hotel restaurant was superb and room service was prompt and friendly. The location was perfect, just a block from millenium park and an easy walk to the magnificent mile. We also walked to the field museum area, which was fun! I can't say enough good about this hotel - Everyone going to Chicago should stay here, I most certainly will again! Lisez la suite
"Hotel Burham in Chicago"
Nothing but good things to say about our stay. Staff was excellent and the room was very nice. Great place to celebrate our anniversary. Would certainly stay here again when in Chicago.

"Modern but with character"
I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were very friendly (none of this 'fake enthusiasm' that's easy to see through) and the lobby wine reception was a great way to be welcomed. The hotel was recently restored and the 1920s decor felt very authentic but with an LCD screen in the lobby in case you wanted to tell Twitter all about it. Plenty of character […] but with all mod cons. Excellent location, close to everything. Highly recommended. Lisez la suite
"Great Location"
Couldn't ask for a better location for touring or a friendlier staff. Complimentary wine in the afternoon is a nice touch. Rooms are pleasant and well laid out, but starting to show their age slightly.

"Excellent experience - perfect location"
If you can get by with a smaller than normal room, this is an excellent hotel. It's located right off of State St near Millennium Park which presents some foot traffic problems if you're trying to get somewhere quickly. Otherwise it really is a perfect location. I loved the history of the building. Each floor really felt like it had a unique personality. […] The lobby was beautiful. Wine tastings in the afternoon and tea and coffee in the morning were a nice touch. Overall a great experience. Lisez la suite
"Great historic hotel"
Great location near trains, the only thing I did not like about The loop is everything closes early. We had a great experience and would recommend this hotel to anyone.
"Great Hotel and Staff"
Really enjoyed our stay. Staff was great. This is a historic hotel that has modern amentities and is very well maintained. Clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location is very convenient to train lines to airports and for walking to all attractions around the City. Have stayed in many hotels around downtown Chicago and will definitely go back to Hotel B […] urnham. Lisez la suite
"Burnham Kimpton - a true boutique hotel"
It was truly a unique experience staying at Burnham Chicago. Unfortunately, we stayed only for two nights; nevertheless, they were remarkable. The room was clean and cozy, albeit a bit small. The bed was comfortable (the mattress was soft, but not too soft) and the room had very nice glass window that almost runs from floor to ceiling (which is considerably […] high compared to other hotels in the same category). What I found a bit discomforting was the amount of lighting - there were no light sources in the bed area except for the desk and nightstand lamps. The staff were very decent, helpful and professional - but neither genuinely, nor artificially warm. The hotel is located in the heart of the theater district and very close to the CTA and the millenium park. On weekends, the theater district is not very interesting during the day time (we had a hard time trying to find a good place for brunch, and finally we had to resort to a restaurant on Michigan ave). "great staff at Hotel Burnham"
The staff was friendly and very capable at the hotel, and definitely a reason to come back. The rooms were well appointed but small. It is not a plush place to stay, but a cozy one.
"My Second Home in Chicago"
There are so many good things about this place -- yes there are the usual creature comforts, but also the historical beauty, the elegant urban hustle-bustle, and the friendliness of every staff person I met. The front desk staff -- Emil in particular -- went out of their way to welcome me (a solo traveler) over my birthday weekend. They obviously take […] pride in the place and everyhing they do. I will return as often as I can. Lisez la suite
"great but you pay for parking"
You pay 45 a night for parking at the hotel, and they hold fifty bucks from your card for a few days after. Other than that a great stay!
"WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE"
From the location, to the amenities, to the staff, my stay at the Burnham was a wonderful experience. The building itself was like a step back in history, with a very 1920's decor. As a hotel brand marketed to women, they had the best hairdryer EVER in the guest rooms, I'm going to buy the same one for myself.
"Unique Gem in the Heart of the City"
This is a terrific hotel with an interesting history. A dramatic renovation of this old building has given rise to an absolutely modern hotel that boasts some incredibly rich character. As can be expected of a Kimpton hotel, the staff and service was welcoming, attentive and responsive. We did not try the hotel's restaurant, so we cannot comment on […] that. The hotel is convenient to Millenium and Grant Parks and other sights in Chicago's Loop. It is also very close to "El" train stops. Lisez la suite

"Great location!"
We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Burnham. The rooms were larger than I imagined in downtown Chicago and that staff was very helpful. The location was close to both the red, orange and browns lines which we used often.
"1st anniversy and we loved it!-Best staff EVER"
For our first anniversy my husband and I stayed at the hotel Burnham and could not have asked for better service. We were there two nights and by the end of the first day the staff knew our names and what we had done that day, it was great. They even sent up a bottle of wine for us to celebrate with. The location was about 2 blocks east of millienum […] park and right in the heart of shopping. It was an easy walk to the L, although we never used it. We were able to easily walk to the art muesum, and Navy pier. Also, very close to the theather district. The rooms were small, but we were in a large city so I kind of expected that. The did well decorating in that space. My husband did not like the bed, which is why I gave comfort of the room a 3. Overall the staff was very helpful, the room was beautiful and the area was GREAT. Stay here! Lisez la suite
"BETTER THAN WE IMAGINED!!"
Online I was uncertain about the location of this hotel, but once in Chicago it was right in the middle of everything!! We were directly across from a mall (and had a view of Anthropologie). The Willis Tower (sears tower) was just a quick walk, as was Millenium Park. The staff was wonderful especially the front desk. I called ahead to ask how much a […] cab from the airport was, and the estimation was dead-on! The room was extremely clean (and I am a neat freak) and the bed was comfortable. I'm really glad we chose this hotel, and will DEFINITELY stay here again next time we are in Chicago. Lisez la suite
